My quest to upload all my photos that I took during my silence from Tumblr... starting with these few 6 x 6 format pictures. Taken with my trusty YashicaMat 124G, using Ilford XP2. Did some post-processing on PS to bump up the contrast a little lot.

Today marks the end of the holy month of Ramadhan. Syawal is coming and I can hear the celebrations going on. Mothers are busy cooking a feast for tomorrow. Fathers are busy cleaning their houses. And the children are happily singing festive songs.

The children… I can’t help but think about the children that are in Palestine right now. Do they feast? Do they celebrate? Do they wear new clothes and visit relatives like we muslims do here? Or do they spend their eve of Syawal fearing for their lives, knowing that this could very well be their last?

Words are empty and none could describe what all of you, Palestinians, are feeling at this moment. Only He knows your pain. Eid mubarak, my brothers and sisters. Absolute peace and happiness will be waiting for you in His heaven.

Bali part Deux (X100s)

Bali in film...

Recently, I went to Bali, Indonesia for a short getaway. Brought my trusty cameras along (Canonet QL19, YashicaMat 124G and X100s). It was the first time I tried out the Ilford XP2 film, for both 35mm and 120 format. Seeing the images now, I'm having mixed feelings about this particular film. The inconsistency in contrast is really visible. Maybe I will stick to the Delta series...

Virgin film roll...

I went to collect my very first roll of film I have ever shot in my entire life today. Honestly, I really thought the pictures were gonna suck dinosaur eggs but I had a rather pleasant surprise... I think they are not really that bad, for a first time film shooter...
