A/N. To that one nonnie that made it impossible NOT to think about this…

“And who–pray tell, is that fine gentleman, Shoko?”
“Who?”
“Him.”
It was like watching a parade, of sorts.
Monarchs upon nobles upon countless upper-class elites filtering in and out of the royal palace. Each with a long, satin gown fluttering about, or men with glinting medals that likely cost more than four lifetimes of your wages.
Debutante season had commenced.
And as part of the Queen’s chambermaids, it was your duty to pain-stakingly welcome each special guest deemed worthy of attending her highness’s garden parties.
Which is why - almost on instinct - you’d snapped your head towards the clip-clop! of a carriage steadying to a halt by the hedge-archway entrance. Catching just a flash of sleek blond, who…
Before the footmen swing open the carriage doors, and out steps the most handsome man you’ve ever seen in your entire life-
“Oh, him. That’s Duke Nanami Kento.” Shoko drawls underneath her breath, dipping into synchronized curtsy alongside the household staff. “And he’s staring intently right at you.”
Honestly, Shoko might be one of the Queen’s most favored healers- but you really think she’s been neglecting the health of her eyes lately. Daring to elbow her in the side, “Don’t jest!”
She snickers, and you’re sure you detect the nearby daughter of a merchant family haughtily sniff your way—“I do no such thing.” Though, not for too long, fortunately for the two of your necks, because just then Duke Nanami’s stepping into clear view of the party - and you’d never glimpsed so many aristocratic mouths drop.
So many ladies (and some gentlemen) fluster, and so many older heads of families water at the mouth like they’d just spotted the most delectable prey.
Understandable, however.
Because if Nanami was thoroughly agreeable to your eyes in the few peeks you’d stolen at him- then he was almost other-wordly now.
With the most charming, tidy golden hair pushed back, a few curls coiling at the nape of his high collar. A towering stature that made even the most accomplished generals hunch in on themselves, and you nearly audibly gulp at the broad flex of his arms within his navy jacket. Stern. Stoic.
His molten, intense eyes peek over thin-rimmed glasses at the buzzing guests ahead, and you swear that they begin to stray somewhere near you—
“Heavens! Must I repeat myself, you common scullion?”
Ah, at the way Marquess Zenin Naoya was saddled right behind you and spitting hellfire, surely.
You rush to bend into an apologetic bow, so low that the knobs of your spine start to ache- “Please forgive my impudence, My Lord-”
“Have you nothing between your ears but lint?” He’s growling, spindly hands tightening on his empty goblet of wine until you hear the silver material creak. And it’s hitting you right then n’ there that in your haste to ogle Duke Nanami, you must have failed to heed Naoya’s calls for more drink-
He turns his sharp profile to the side and spits on a patch of clean-cut grass, “A servant that knows not her place is no better than dirt. What do you gawk at like so?”
“N-nothing, My Lord.”
And you can only watch, in slow-motion terror, as Naoya flicks his beady gaze behind you- and his sour face tenses at the vision of the tall newcomer that’d easily - and very obviously - ousted his mantle as the most eligible bachelor present. “That ol’ duke? Heh- dreaming that he’d bed a wench, did you?”
“Forgive me, sir, it was not my intent to give offence.” You’re breathing out, first clenching as you feel the withering looks that were starting to prop up around you two. Everybody loved a scandal. Trembling hands reaching out for his cup, “I-if you would allow me to just refill-”
“Don’t touch me!”
CLANG!
It happens all at once.
The heavy goblet clatters to the floor, a warm chest nuzzles your back, and a strong hand was locked right around Naoya’s raised wrist. Right before he could strike.
“It seems her highness’s liquor is exceptionally strong.” Nanami’s deep baritone sounds above your head and makes your skin bead with a blanket of goosebumps.
And it’s slightly husky. So attractive.
Especially when he’s tilting his head down so close, something primal in his eyes that made it feel like he was on the very verge of devouring you whole. Right there in the middle of the bustling garden party. Humming sternly, “Yuji, please escort our impaired marquess somewhere ah…quieter.”
“Y-yes, Nanamin- I mean, Your Grace!”
You’re watching, speechless, as a younger boy with the most vibrant head of pink locks runs up from behind and grabs onto both of Naoya’s shoulders to bodily steer him away from you.
He must have been stronger than he looked, clearly, because the proud heir was being lugged away like a sack of potatoes no matter how much he squirmed and fought - much to the amusement of the party-dwellers. And you.
But you’re quick to bite back your startled laughter once you’re realizing that Nanami Kento was still holding onto you. And not just stood behind- you must have stumbled amidst all the commotion because he had a large hand gripped onto your hip to steady you.
You were in his arms.
Gasping, “O-oh.” You couldn’t have broken off faster from him, knees strangely weak as you’re forcing them into yet another curtsy, “I am so-”
“My deepest apologies, Honorable Miss.” The duke beats you to it, a strange smile playing along his stern lips as he bends into an even deeper bow. “I should have asked prior to touching a lady.”
“A-a lady!” You’re squawking, in what was most definitely an unladylike manner. Hands wringing to gesture him to straighten as much as you could without it being seen as defiance against one of the crème de la crème of nobility. “I assure you I am no such thing, Your Grace.”
Just then he kisses the back of your hand in greeting, “Please, call me ‘Nanami’- or ‘Kento’, should you wish, ma’am.”
“It- it is beneath you to be designated that by me-”
“I insist.”
And if everyone here was watching the upending chaos before, then they simply couldn’t remove their eyes by now.
Whilst Nanami - still bowed - only tilted his head up with a smile, looking at you through his long, pale lashes.
You lift the humble fabrics of your working dress, a thick, dark-colored wool that marked you different from the tittering daughters of the upper-class. “B-but I am only in service to her highness.”
“Is that so?” And you’re breathing a sigh of relief as he stands back to his broad, proud figure- finally, he’s understood and would prance off as all young bachelors did to- “For I only gaze upon the most beautiful lady that has graced the floor this evening, and my blessed gaze.”
What?
“Have a charmed night-” Nanami has a dimple- he has a dimple that winks from the side of his grin as he turns and nods down with the velvety brim of his hat. “-My Lady.”
My Lady.
Utahime’s hands clap down on your rigid shoulders. “Sole heir to the Nanami fortune. Rich, handsome, aware when to cease talking.” Her low whistle rings in the air- tinged with such scandal, “Fiend seize it! I should hasten to practice your new title then, Duchess Nanami.”
“You have a lamentable deficiency in wit-”
Utahime, reputably sensible tutor to the offspring of the royal ladies-in-waiting, and known blockhead around your little trio. “And you have a lamentable deficiency in eyesight.” Sighing, “The look he bestowed upon you, my dear…”
“Or would it be ‘My Lordliness.’” Shoko croons in as well, sipping on a flute of bubbly champagne definitely not meant for her. “Oh-so-beautiful wife of Duke Nanami-”
“Attend to your duties!”

Dearest gentle reader,
It has come to my attention - and certainly to that of all the ladies who frequent the halls of Mayfair - something for which you should do well to brace your hearts. Whispers spread that the most eligible bachelor of the season, gentle Duke Nanami Kento, erupted quite the scandal during her majesty’s garden soirée by fixing his much sought-after attentions upon none other than a humble chambermaid.
Yes, you read that correctly, dear reader. For someone reputed in the upper echelons of society for being as stoic as he is handsome, Duke Nanami shares his first spark of interest as he searches for a bride this season.
So heed this author’s advice; as the famed noble resides in the royal palace for the rest of his stay, keep an eye about. For you may just be lucky to be named Duchess of the House of Nanami.
Yours Truly,
Lady Whistledown.
.
.
.
“This is preposterous!”
“It is absolute truth-”
“It is a sham is what it is.” You’re nearly crying out as you shove Lady Whistledown’s latest scandal sheet back into Shoko’s arms. “He- the duke never fixed his attentions on me.”
And your best friend didn’t spare you a word, only a long, narrowed stare of her intelligent eyes that made your stomach twist.
Did Nanami fix his- no. While you and Shoko huddled into a hidden alcove within the sprawling walls of the palace to read the latest on-dit gossip, you smacked yourself back into reality.
The nobility often did have nothing much to entertain themselves with outside of fanning scandal. He was powerful. He was attractive. And he has as many prospects as there were knights in this palace, surely!
Because - of course, for the universe did love to laugh at your expense - he’d taken residency in the palace until the season ended, as one of the Queen’s guests.
Days later you could count every look, every smile, every bow- goodness, there was that one time that you’d been placing cutlery along the winding royal dinner table. Only for Nanami’s engulfing fingertips to brush against yours and make your skin scorch with his whisper, “Thank you, my lady.”
You’re almost befogged why that wasn’t splashed across Lady Whistledown’s writing- chambermaid loses her wits, hear ye!
“Wh-whichever way one looks at it.” You’re stammering out, realizing that you’d been quiet for much too long. “His grace is simply raising some kind of mischief.”
“Certainly.” She was not certain.
“Just you wait- by the end of this season, Duke Nanami will be married to a lady of high standing and I shall–”
“Be disengaged?” That wasn’t the monotone, sarcastic voice of your longest friend.
It was something masculine, something amused. And it was emanating right from the open space of the corridor reading up to the alcove.
You don’t have to turn your head to realize who it is - Nanami Kento.
Though, you do turn anyway. And you almost regret it when you’re stuck by the sheer intensity of his stare, of his face leaned down so close. So intimately that you can’t stop yourself from flitting a sharp glance down at his plush, curving pink lips.
Perhaps Lady Whistledown wasn’t all that wrong - especially about him being handsome…
“Apologies for startling you, ma’am.” Nanami cuts your traitorous thoughts short by slowly tilting something flat and cream-colored in one hand. “Permit me to explain- will you hopefully be disengaged to attend the upcoming Royal Diamond Ball? Perhaps?”
You’re bowing, confused. “Y-yes, Your Grace. I shall be of service during her highness’s ball.”
It was only the most anticipated assembly this entire year, the annual gathering right in the Queen’s Great Hall to announce the diamond of the season.
And in only a week, every single servant of the palace was to work themselves to the bone - welcoming, chaperoning, making note of the newly-made unions to titter over much later.
“Ah, allow me to clarify.” Rubbing a free hand behind his neck, the famed Nanami Kento almost looks…sheepish. “What I meant was- might you be disengaged to…” Staring right at you, hypnotic. “-join me?”
“…What?”
“Of course, it would be no trouble at all if you can not spare a moment, I should be happy to merely converse with you.”
It slips out- “Th-that’s madness. All those ladies-in-waiting-”
Then he’s clasping your hands, he’s pressing the invitation in- but, more importantly, he’s holding you. “And yet, I would like nothing more than the pleasure of your company.” Close. Too close. His breath wafts your lips, “I hope this is not too forward of me. But should you let yourself, trust that I will take care of everything, My Lady.”
And just as soon as you think he’ll kiss you - how uncouth (though, you admittedly wouldn’t complain) - he bends at the waist to gently grasp your hand.
“Everything.” Whispering a soft kiss into the back, Nanami lingers his lips - his gaze - for a long while. “I await eagerly for your word.”
He’s gone almost as softly, and sweetly, as he’d appeared.
Taking with him the scent of golden caramel, and the racing beat of your heart. You swear you’d have been stuck within the alcove staring behind his muscular back until nightfall had it not been for Shoko.
“So…” She plasters a wry smile once you’re turning her way, invitation trembling in your grip. And you’re noticing that upon its envelope dazzles swooping calligraphy of your name, almost certainly written by him. “Would you prefer ‘Your Gracefulness’ or ‘Duchess Nanami’?”
.
.
.
Dearest gentle reader,
The ton is abuzz as her majesty the Queen’s Royal Diamond Ball nears closer. And the sole heir to the house of Nanami is certainly no exception.
This author hears directly from a reputable source within her highness’s Chamberlain Office that Duke Nanami Kento was uncharacteristically fastidious in securing himself an extra invitation. Most claim this as confirmation of his grace’s dedication to finding a bride, most also claim they’d seen the aforementioned, infamous chambermaid being handed it.
Take care of artifice; but such intrigue of a commoner attending the most prestigious ball of the year may be much more than my readers may be able to bear.
So, ladies, grab your finest gowns and shortest shawls to make haste for a chance to snag the eligible bachelor’s heart once and for all this season! And I shall, of course, be in attendance to report on all the scandals that unfold.
Yours Truly,
Lady Whistledown.
.
.
.
“I look…”
“Enchanting.” Utahime nods.
“I was thinking more toad-eaten.” You have to mentally remind yourself to close your maw and do your very best not to gape at the reflection in the decadent mirror displayed in front of you.
Despite your words, even you couldn’t deny that the deep, sapphire-encrusted gown you were donning made you look every bit the noblewoman that you weren’t. Its Empire waist snugly crowning the flowing muslin, sleeves fashionably puffed, with tasteful gold jewelry that you wouldn’t have so much as dared to look at let alone be dolled-up into.
It was made for you.
Quite literally. Utahime had been the one to write your letter of acceptance to Duke Nanami (after shrieking herself hoarse in excitement first.) And through a week of hushed conversation with his grace, the ball evening had crept up closer and you had an army of modistes and maids knocking at your servants’ quarters.
Scrubbing you raw, painting your face, slipping you into a dress he’d ordered tailored to your exact measurements- how did he even know?
Shoko had to let you use her office, and she was deriving her payment back for it by beaming at the sight of you. “And I was thinking more Duchess of the house of Nanami-”
“Cease!”
“Ah, so you observe? You are noble in all but title already.”
Whilst Shoko and Utahime - the traitors - burst out into peels of laughter, you’re left fiddling with the silken coverings of your gloves. “You…you don’t suppose he’s making a mockery out of me, after all?”
That makes them quieten down, and Utahime hugs your shoulders in a way that thoroughly displeases the attendants and their ruffles. “You shine everyone else down, my dear. He should be lucky to have such a lovely date this evening.”
“Quite so.” Shoko nods, “And should he dare fool around, I have long sought a specimen upon whom to test my latest scalpel-”
“Shoko!”
“Do let me join.”
“U-um, ehem.” The tense, honestly frightened clearing of Itadori, his protégé’s, throat cuts your morbid conversation short. And as he looks at you, the poor boy blushes- whispering something shapes strangely like a little—“Divine.”
Before you know it, you’re being escorted down the high-ceiling corridor just as you’d always watched the sisters and wives of nobility being guided so.
It’s a pathway more than familiar to you, yet seems so foreign once you approach the grand, imposing double doors opened to the ballroom. It was a magnificent thing; one of the Queen’s proudest possessions - with diamond chandeliers that dripped yellow light like a second sun, and a grand polished staircase kissing down from the doorway to a dance floor at the bottom.
Faint orchestra and chatter tainting the sparkling atmosphere, you breathe in nervously and even the flower-scented air seems too expensive for you.
Itadori hands the chief footman your invitation - something that makes the latter’s bushy eyebrows raise as he recognizes your name. And then the boy squeezes your hand before he leaves you off at the edge of the entrance, “His grace will be utterly bewitched, My Lady. He already is.”
Oh- what?
In the blink of an eye, he’s melted back into the crowd of other youngsters networking outside. And with nearly every guest already inside - you could only descend.
Down.
Down.
Down, the massive carpeted staircase- and it felt like every pair of eyes were on you. Most stopping mid-dance. Some whispering behind their fans.
And one, Nanami Kento, staring at you breathless and awestruck where he’d been politely conversing with the Queen herself, and a gaggle of entranced admirers. But he only had eyes for you.
Almost frozen. Almost shocked-
Enough so that your satin-covered feet were just a few steps away from reaching down to the marble ballroom floor before you’re thinking of turning right back around and running-
“You.” A hand on your wrist, a soft pair of lips on the back of your hand. Nanami Kento had broken through just about every rule of aristocracy to storm through packs of nobles and catch your wrist before you escaped.
And when he kisses you, it felt like he was finally breathing for the first time after years. “I had- I had not dared to hope that you would truly appear.” Staring at you through thick, golden lashes as he bends deeper into a bow. “You have honored me with the presence of the most beautiful lady to ever grace these floors.”
Languidly, you’re twisting your body back to face him - to face the crowd - and the way that the distracted orchestra has to begin their slow quadrille from the top, several teary debutantes looking between you and Nanami before shoving their faces into their fans, and even Lord Naoya was casting great attention.
Muttering.
‘Might I inquire as to that lady? Does she have prospects-’
‘Do tell- is it true what Lady Whistledown’s paper said- Bollocks! I wanted to bed Duke Nanami.’
‘My, the chambermaid? The scandal! Oh, but they are a most remarkably striking pair…’
You’re gasping when you catch a glimpse of her highness shifting on her throne to peer over curiously. Nanami had authority- but this?
Gulping, “Is this…is this folly really alright?”
“Oh, My Lady.” He fixes you with a lingering look, “For you, nothing would be folly. May I have this dance?”
.
.
.
“M-mmm, Your Grace-”
“What did I tell you, My Lady?” Nanami’s hot, simmering pant tingles your lips as he’s lavishing you with the swirling edge of his tongue. “Call me Kento.”
And you didn’t have any reason not to.
Well, first of all you two were far, far from any of the prying eyes of the ball by now - tucked away inside the empty, luxurious royal office allocated to him by the Queen. And then he had you pushed against the corner of the wide mahogany table in the middle- hands fisted into your gown, mouth searing against yours.
Nanami flicks the slimy edge of his tastebuds between your spit-glossed maw and groans once you’re eagerly sucking. Gasping. Heaving. “O-open your mouth.”
You’d just made the stern, stoic Duke Nanami stutter. And the thought itself is enough for you to knit your brows together and unhinge your jaw even further, “Like this?”
“Wider.”
“Mmm- like-” A glittery ribbon of saliva slicks down the corner of your lips the moment he’s parting his plump, puckered mouth and kissing you in a way you’d never even heard of. “-this?”
So primal. So heated. He’s huffing out a clouded breath through his flared nostrils, and you’re all but melting with each sleazy scour of his tongue.
“Yeah, wider. Lest I be thought ungentlemanly-” With a thumb latching onto the point of your chin, he has one hand angling your face, and the other curving ‘round your waist to support your weakening knees easily. “Suck on my tongue, ma’am.”
Kissing you and kissing you like he’s parched and every drop of sweet, syrupy water was just drooling from your mouth.
Your whirling head barely even realizes when Nanami has you softly falling back onto the frigid surface of the table. Splayed out completely. His beefy forearm eases the impact, mouth decorating with a few strings of spittle when he’s pulling back with a dampened pwah!
Lungs still clouding out in scorching breezes, “If you would allow it, My Lady.” And you’re whimpering when the doughy mountain of his palm comes rovering down your front. Not resting for a split-second until it was right between your poor legs- “I confess, not a morsel crossed my lips throughout the ball- and I find myself quite famished.”
You’re gasping, trying to close your legs- but it’s like his palm was glued to your drivelling core. Hungry. Desperate. “B-but it is beneath your touch to do such a thing-”
“You’re never beneath my touch.” You swear you catch him look down at your clothed cunt and gulp. Fawny irises dark and dilated, “Never.”
And almost as if he’s proving his point, his free, left hand clasps around your own and flies down gingerly to the absolutely massive bulging tenting Nanami’s trousers.
Oh.
He groans.
Oh.
And he’s looking at you through narrowed, predatory eyes- words so gentle even though the way the thick cylindrical curve of his erection was anything but. “See how you make me?” And with a teary nod, your hips find themselves bucking- “Witness how you- ah.”
Rutting.
So carnally, with your gown and chemise falling back, it makes Nanami snap his half-lidded eyes down at you like he’d just stumbled upon a five-course meal. A predator blood-thirsty for prey.
Drooling in a thin, slow trail, he hastily wipes it away like a gentleman. He wasn’t just famished - he was starved.
And by the way his touch shakes ever-so-slightly on your body, it’s a damn miracle that he hasn’t just lost it right now. “We wouldn’t want to waste your talents on just my hand, ma’am.”
Before you can even begin to wonder what his cryptic words meant, Nanami’s making use of the years of his noble training in combat.
Flipping your two positions, laying himself out on the far table, clinging onto your squirming waist to seat you right above his heavily respiring mouth. With your chemise tugged off with one hand, he’s stealing a good look at your naked, geysering pussy and moaning–
“I-I really am quite famished.”
And his voice breaks.
Making you jerk your hips in a slight gyration- unsure where to rest. “Wh-what are you going to- oh.” Whimpering, once he’s planting a firm kiss near the inner parts of your thighs where slick travelled like an adhesive sheen. Only pushing your gown to bunch upwards, “Please!”
“I shall be having my dinner, My Lady.” Lurching you ever-closer, he had your knees straddling each side of his face and it still wasn’t close enough. “Bon appétit.”
All five of his coarse fingerpads digging into the cheeks of your ass, he flicks his wrist and drags you straight into the gaping cavern of his maw. His glistening tongue was propped out just right to spank the surface of your pussylips on his tastebuds.
“A-ah.” Thighs trembling, it feels so strangely and erotically wet with him salivating all over.
He feels a slippery splosh of your juices leak from your slit and straight into his gullet, the creamy taste flooding up his tongue. “O-ohhh–” Savoring. “Has anyone ever made you feel like hah- this?”
“N-not at all, Your Gr-”
“Kento.”
“K-Kento–!” It’s all that you can squeal when the flexible tendril of his muscle crowns your hole and you’re seeing stars. His tongue is just so long n’ girthy that it makes your poor, filthy entrance clench when he’s slipping just an inch inside. “Fuck- n-ngh- fuck–!”
“Charmed you’re enjoying, ma’am.” And he sounds so genuinely elated - breathy, shaken - at the pretty moans falling from your mouth like music.
Though, it’s not enough.
It might never be enough, so the duke can only prop up slightly on one of his strong elbows just to angle his mouth into the perfect French kiss with your cunt. Slapping his tongue right over the puffy folds of your pussy, he’s licking and licking each stray bead of slick bubbling out of you until you’re all tender and glossy.
Only then is he wafting his right thumb vertically down your cute slit, “Though, not to overwork my dear lady- but might you mind lending me a…hand?”
You’re snapping your head down so fast that your chin knocks against your heaving chest, “Wh-what do you need, Your- ah, Kento?”
“Oh, nothing much, my darling. Just…” Tilting his head, Nanami’s rendering you stupidly dizzy each time he twists the callused knob of his thumb in and out of your folds. “Spit in my mouth.”
“Wh-would that be appropriate?” He was filthy.
Feral. “I would love nothing more.”
And he meant it- he truly, completely, and utterly meant it. You’re watching his prominent Adam’s apple bob greedily once the bead of pearly saliva bubbles between your lips and dead-on into his mouth. Only swirlin’ inside for a mere second before spitting right back into your polished cunt. Hard.
Letting the fat wad slip between your lips, and Nanami doesn’t waste a single second before pushing his rugged middle finger inside your hole.
“There we go.” Gazing in pure lecherous wonderment at the way your needy ring of muscle was swallowing him up, every single solid inch right down to his mountainous knuckle. What a tight fit. “There- there, atta girl.”
“It just feels so- ngh- so-” You don’t even know how to control yourself, hips jerking back and forth, back and forth, back and forth until the globes of your ass strike his chin and make you keen. “Ah!”
“Eeeeeasy does it, ma’am.”
And he’s still grunting your name out with that title- even as he’s pryin’ apart your bloated lips and sticking in yet another digit. The fat ends of his index swiping across, engraving his family signet ring against your very walls-
“This is only a prelude, darling.” You’re flinching at the chilling scrape of the band on his second finger, and he grins. Glueing that very grin against your throbbing clit, he spits again- “Only just getting started.”
“Fuck- fuck!” Going against every policy you’d learned in polite society, you’re throwing your hips back and gyrating out looong sloppy drags of your cunt.
Straight from the treacly base of your pussy to where Nanami was nuzzling your sensitive clit with his nose. Again. And again and again- the duke’s kiss-bitten lips were burning and he’s still craning his neck for more. Panting, “Make a mess of me, My Lady. S’what I’m hah- here for.”
“N-ngh, it feels so gooood, Kento.”
And you don’t even have any inhibitions about that little slip-up of titles anymore, back arching into a perfect curvy ‘S’ shape at the way he’s salivating all over your pussy.
Rovering the ridged edges of his tongue in a cutesy lil’ heart over your clit, pressing down just enough pressure on it like a button. And it’s exactly what he needs to make you gasp, your hole winking- so that he can easily slide-slide-sliiide a third finger in with a resonating squelch!
“So wet. So divine.” He’s groaning at the sight of you suckling in on him and all his inches. Fitted in so deeply that your orifice is struggling to even squeeze, thighs clamping over his sweaty temples. Feeling inside you. Searching. “I must ask that you ruin me, darlin’. Ride me faster.”
Thighs aching, breaths shortening. His metal glasses thump the scorching front of your cunt and you whine.
“Faster.”
“P-pleeease!”
It’s like he’s ravaging your pussy with his thrusts, blond brows furrowing in so tight as he’s leaning in even closer. Tuggin’ apart your folds, he’s discovering every sleek, leaking inch of your cunt like he didn’t have enough time. Never would.
And it’s with only spank after spank of his metallic ring that he’s somehow skidding it right down your saccharine walls and directly into your g-spot. “H-here.”
“There.” Even with the kaleidoscope of tears dazzling your vision, you can make out the completely pussydrunken grin that smears across his face.
Rutting up against the swollen slope of your pussy, he laps up every sodden ounce of slick that escapes you once he hits his slimy target. “With greater fervour now, My Lady.” Your throat clogs up every time he reels his fingerpads down to the curvaceous edges and slams back in. “Harder-”
You grip onto the straight ends of his deltoids, flexing with muscular strength. “I-I’m not sure if that is possible-”
“Do not be gentle with me.” And it almost sounds like a command. Though he’s acting upon it like it’s a complete beg- swerving his palm to sticky clammily onto your left ass cheek and pushing you. “Let yourself hah- go. Give me all of you, I beg.”
You had the most powerful, stoic duke of all the season begging.
And he needed it- he was toying with the lacy circle of your garter and snapping it down onto your flesh with a flick of his fingers.
Only to make you wetter.
So wet with sappy, meady slick that he’s gulping down like his favorite liquor- splashing down between his lips and making him more n’ more inebriated by the second.
Glasses still on. Pumping his hips up into the empty air, all he could do was fuck his fingers into your hotly-glossed walls and pretend he’s doing it all with his aching cock. “Do you think you can handle a fourth, darling?”
Gasping, “P-perhaps-”
“Then…brace yourself…”
You couldn’t brace yourself. You couldn’t even intake a steady breath even if you tried.
Because while you’re perching your dripping pussy near the line of his straight nosebridge, Nanami’s slipping in the coiled edge of his lengthy tongue. Not his fingers. His tongue.
In addition to all he was rummaging your melty insides with, he swabs over the texture of his tastebuds down where you were the most delicate and strokes his tongue inside—
“Sh-shit- shit shit shit-” Your mouth juts out into such an adorable pout that makes the man beneath you thrusts his rugged hips upwards. “I-I think I’m…close, Kento.”
“S’that so? Gonna cum?”
So difficult to even breathe when he’s strobing his fingertips down your bulging g-spot, already battered and bruised with the slamming impacts. With the way he swats the side of your thighs stinging with your garter, “Mhm—hck!”
Probin’ every velvety nook and cranny with his touch, Nanami can’t have you on his weeping cock so he’s twisting all his three- now four fingers, and his tongue inside until his wrist aches. His jaw strained. Tastebuds raw, just as much as your pussy was.
“The orchestra is playing, you can be as loud as your heart desires. Say the words, ma’am- I beg of you to please just hah! say the words.”
It makes your vulnerable lips tremble just to formulate the next few scandalous words, never before having been so fucked-out. “Y-yes. Yes, please. Gonna…cum.”
And you swear that the ever-sensible Nanami Kento is gurgling out a wet giggle right between the space of your puffy pussylips, sending white-hot shockwaves down your bowed spine. “I would be-” He wetly gasps out, before slapping his handsome features right back down.
Addicted. He can’t even move.
“I would- hah- I would be quite-” And his spectacles dig in deep until the metal surface sizzles against your core, pushing and pushing himself back. His tongue’s going wild, stirring around with the wettest slurps. “I would be quite offended if you didn’t, my love.”
He doesn’t just mutter the words - he’s biting them right ‘round the perky knob of your clit. Teething his glinting canines just hard enough while he’s slipping his tongue back out - right on time, right at the very second to tastefully receive the way you throw your head back and squirt.
Hot. Hard.
It feels like your entire body’s caught on fire and no matter how much you’re slobbering your hips to the front n’ back, it only makes the sensation worse.
Your eyes water, mouth hanging open stupidly. “Yes- yes yes yes yes- I’m cumming-” Thighs trembling down upon either side of his eardrums at the friction- tight, and he doesn’t even care. “I-I’m cumming.”
“Squirting, My Lady.” Nanami corrects you, gently. Though, it’s a fucking miracle he even had the patience to considering that he’s gasping and panting for air but only pushin’ himself closer to the oodles of cute slick seeping out from you.
He doesn’t even care.
Doesn’t even need air- not when he can perk his head just right and push against your thighs. Wide maw unfastened gluttonously ajar to let the thick trickles of sap drip into his mouth after each zap! of bliss. Drowning him.
Mouth sagging further open, lungs screaming at him. So many bucketloads of syrupy sweet sap that sprays his features until they’re all glittery. “Squirt- oh. You’re- ngh-”
And something’s breaking at the back of his throat when he’s roaming his dexterous, looong tongue between the plumpness of your pussylips, and you’re taking him in so easily.
Overstimulated till you can let off only whines n’ sobs when he’s lazily dabbing his way inside your quivering hole.
“I’m so ruined, Kento.” Riding and riding. He wanted you to use him and you were- “It feels s-so strange.” The peak of your high was one big wave, and it tingles underneath your skin and makes your eyes roll.
Never - even during all those long, lonely nights with your hand slipped underneath the covers - did it ever feel like this. Never were you leaking your essence this much, with your sappy juices falling all down the sides of his rosy red lips. “Never f-felt this ngh- way before, Ken.”
And that makes him groan.
Slowly, gingerly - almost like it hurt for him to detach his hungry lips with yours, he’s pulling you off with one hand stuck to your hips. Surging backwards with- no, he can’t surge backwards.
The duke’s planting one more firm kiss onto your cunt, open-mouthed. And then jerking back- and forth. Another kiss. Another repeat until about five times later and he’s finally ready to say goodbye to your sweet, overspilling pussy.
But he’s not done with his little show- oh, the moment you’re finally spying a good, long look at him, you think you might cum again from just that.
Because Nanami Kento was ruined - blond hair astray, spectacles drooping down his nose, your pussy juices worn all over from the apples of his blushin’ cheeks down to his jawline like a lewd medal.
Waterfalling between the curves of his pectorals, gleaming wherever his pale skin was flushed. He looked as if there was a part of him that was feverish - barely even registering what he’s doing once he’s tugging off his slick-glazed glasses and sucking those pearly beads off of the frame.
Licking his completely wet glasses clean, Nanami tilts his head with a grin like he’s never been more accomplished. “I only live to please you, ma’am.”
“But that’s not fair.” You huff out a stubborn breath, shuffling down his tall body to try and cup the bulging outline between his legs that almost looked painful. “I, too, wish to-”
“Tonight is not the night, I’m hah- afraid.” He’s cleanly cutting off both your plea and your palm. Instead bringing up your shaky hand to kiss the inside of your wrist. Gloves off, his eyes primal and dead set on you. “I could never ask you to get on your knees. Tonight, I only ask that you let me drive you wild, darling. Let me devour you whole.”
And he meant it.
Oh, within sultry seconds Nanami was moving himself off of the tabletop and standing adjacent. Tall. Strong. Not letting you lift a single finger before he loops two hands underneath your thighs and draaaags you to the very edge.
Moistened thighs pasting to his obliques, “Pray, allow me to see to it. To everything.”
And you just wanted to rip the gossamer fabric of your dress off, but Nanami was oh-so-delicate with his hands all over you. Even though he’s fitting himself animalistically between your lewd legs and rutting-
“Why-” His breath catches once your petticoat and stocking are peeled off, both thumbs spreading your swollen pussylips like a lotus. Completely exposed now. “-hello, my love.”
Your mouth parts when you’re realizing that he’s not just talking to you- he’s talking to your cunt. Maw stretched into a smile so utterly lovin’, Nanami keeps that same dopey grin on as he’s leering his face down to spit.
Again.
“Please, Kento.” You’re bucking your hips up impatiently, still shaky with the aftershocks of your high but you wanted more more more. Needed it. “P-put it in.”
He groans- oh, was it him that taught your sweet mouth to say those words. Corrupting you with every second he’s drawing soppy circles on your wet outer pussy, the duke can only tear down his dress coat and his trousers. Careful with yours but he was ripping his own clothes off. “As you wish, my darling.”
It’s just then that he’s finishing tugging down his sensually tight breeches—and you’re drinking in all of him. And fuck- was it a sight only for your most light-skirted dreams.
Because Nanami Kento was naturally chiseled, to the point where you could count each of his eight washboard abs. Every dip and muscular curve of his hardened front just tensed when the cool air hit him, leading a path of gold along his middle.
A light happy trail down, down, down to where his red n’ aching cock sat heavily, so hard that his bulging tip looked just about ready to burst. Eight maybe even nine inches long, and so girthy that it made your mouth drop as if you wanted him fitted inside already.
You’re watching as his pre-glazed tip only coats an even more glistening layer of sap at your sinful attention. Trickling all the way down to his tightening balls, “You’re staring—”
“C-can you blame me?”
“I suppose not.” And the warmth of his towering proximity hits your body like a furnace, making you squirm restlessly when Nanami’s leaning over the edge of the table to tap-tap-tap his thick cockhead down between your legs. Rock-hard. “Brace yourself, ma’am, mhm?”
Then he’s splitting you apart-
And then he’s arching his sculpted shoulders to cage you underneath him and swearing–“Fuck.”
The first time ever that you’re hearing him spew profanities, just barely slipping the pointed globe of his shaft past the texture of your tight, hot cunt was ruining him.
“I-I apologize, My Lady.” It was making him gasp, “I apologize, how uncouth of my character. I didn’t mean to-” It was making him urgently snap his head down in panic and watch with primal awe as he ruts- deeper. “F-fuck!”
“Oh my god-” You’re throwing your head back at the pressure, only to be grappled back in by Nanami just so that he can sliiide his lips across yours. Open-mouthed. “H-how are you going in so deep-”
“I cannot help myself.” Grunting, Nanami doesn’t even feel the stinging pain when he’s slamming his capped knee down on the plane of the desk. Angling his slender hips to shove the slimy crown of his tip into your gooey entrance, “It’s simply- it’s just-”
And Nanami Kento, so articulate and calm, doesn’t have the damn words anymore.
Stuttering, falling over his panic to thrust in and in between your trembling legs. He feels the cute rimming circle of your cunt tighten ‘round his fattened girth, and snaps his head down in panic. Spitting. “I-I must have it fit inside, darling. Please, allow me just the tip, at least.”
“Will- ngh! will it even-”
“Of course.” And he’ll apologize for interrupting your sentence later - much, much later.
But for right now, the only thing that sparks in his fuzzy mind was to raise his toned left forearm up to your drivelling maw. Where you start gnawing wetly down on his skin, he spits-
“Bite down. Harder.” Hips sloppy, knee hiking up even further to maze his flared cock inside. You feel your elastic hole stretch a wider diameter as he’s slipping yet another solid inch in. “Come now, harder. You can ngh- take it.”
“It’s going in.” And you don’t know whether you wanted to slam your hips forwards or jerk vulnerably at the sheer weight of his body leaning down.
He breathes, “Yes- yes.” The breeze of his pants fanning your face, making your entire body erupt in flames by the time he’s squeezing past the tender slit carved onto his shaft. Cementing the bulging edge of his cocktip to the roof of your pussy with a raw sluuurp. “I have you. shall not let you fall- bite.”
And it’s all that you can do.
Because Nanami’s fucking you into office table like he wanted you to splinter straight through.
The half-lidded peripherals of his eyes latching onto where you were speared open like he was watching his personal show, “I hope you know…I’m no- hah- easily satiated man, my love.”
“Wh-what do you- fuck!”
Just on cue, he’s slamming the lines of his hardened hipbones against your inner thighs and making you recoil back near the edge of the table. Dangerously. Barely even giving you a second to pick yourself back up before he reaches over to lace both his rugged palms on top of your clammy scalp. Intertwining. Holding you there.
‘Just the tip’ he said. And yet here he was, pinning you down just to bully his vein-covered length between your snugly stubborn lips.
“Do not think to run from me-”
“Could never- ngh- could never-” You’re babbling easily at this point, because the curvy trails that his veins left along your walls were only driving you mad. “Just want more, Kento.”
“…Pardon?”
You blink your teary eyes up at him in a way that makes his throbbing girth fatten up, every ounce of blood in the duke’s head rushing to the ballooned-up knob of his tip. “M-more, I say-”
“More.” He’s echoing out, more to himself. Higher-pitched. Almost tasting the pure need in that one word, and the very repetition makes him half-thrust straight into the goopy depths of your pussy. “More…more.”
Nanami pants out a husky giggle—“More.” Oh, he’s just so in love with the way your cunt was struggling to swallow him whole n’ yet squeezing as you try. He leans back down and spits once more, thoroughly ungentleman-like. “Forgive my haste. You just m-make- me-”
And you swear you hear the tail end of that particular sentence break off into a whine once he’s finally, finally bottoming out.
So sensitive that all it takes is one, two, three lucious swabs of his drivelling orifice to get you to cum. Throat torn with hoarse moans, head throwing back- “I’m- once more…?”
“F-fuck. You are.” Easing in the girth of his cockhead to be spanked against your cervix and make you see stars. Nanami’s already flooding your pussy with a pour of his scalding hot precum. “What a wonder this enchanting body is for me.”
Again. He has you orgasming all over him again.
He’s feeling just a twinge of disappointment in himself for not making you squirt yet another time- but the night was still young. And your sappy cunt was already so wet, with beads of sparkly juices smearing down his happy trail every time he’s whipping his hips forwards.
Slam after slam.
Your entire body twitches with startles of euphoria, mewling. “Th-there’s so much- so- ah.”
Ah, how he would love to reach his hands over and wipe away the glistening tears streaming down your pretty face.
But no, right now he had them locked on top of your head and was using the leverage to pound you stupid. Harder. Spiking the peaks of your high with each thorough probe of his stout, mushroom tip. “I know. I know I know I-”
CRACK!
Oh.
The desk.
It takes a split-second for both your hazed minds to realize that the ancient mahogany table was sagging on one end, Nanami’s raw natural strength too much for it to handle. And then not even that for him to pull out his cock with a wet plop!
Manhandling you down onto the hardwood floors like a doll, on all fours. It’s such a sinfully new angle to have him looming behind you, tense core plastered against your back once his lengthy cock siiiinks in-
Orgasm still dwindling, entire body shaking. “Fuck- nghhh- fuck, Kento–!”
“You are doing so well, darling.” One hand glues onto the side of your left ass cheek and tugs you back down with his grip. The other carefully rovers just underneath your tummy, “M-makes it so easy to wish to hah- give away to my inclinations.”
A primal sob wrenches from your throat when you’re feeling the slimy drag of his globular, pointed tip. Drawin’ out a zig-zag down and down where you were most delicate, until he reaches the target of your cervix, spank! “Th-then proceed- I beg of you.”
You didn’t know what those guttural words would mean. You didn’t even know if you would make it out alive- but right now you’re starting to doubt it once Nanami gasps.
Once he’s slamming one of his flattened feets by the side of your thigh, deeper. The raw, sensual feeling so much that he can’t control himself. Rutting and rutting away as if he’s gone feral—
“Is this to- to your liking then, ma’am?” The duke’s gurgling out through a translucent froth of spittle, splat-splattering right down the middle of your arched spine. “H-how about now?”
He shutters his eyes furiously and rams the remaining few inches of his cock. Bottomed out and still trying to probe even deeper inside, so all he can do is plant his sock-covered foot over the top of your head and press. Bending. “N-now?”
“I adore it—” You’re keenly whining, “Love it- ngh- please.”
Proudly, Nanami dares to snicker as his left thumb brushes down the plump, roaming tummy bulge he was fucking into you. Pushin’ down just on the curvy tip of where you could feel his split-ended cockhead thrashing your poor insides. “And I should love to hah! make this gorgeous cunt mine- make you mine.”
And he was a man of action.
It was high time you realized that, because within exactly three repeated swats of his plummy, rose-colored shaft- he’s discovering your g-spot. He’s kissing that bullseye with a looong, soppy glide.
“Though…that is what I am doing, that should be no hngh- sham.”
Feeling all the crimson rush to your head, he presses down just as his aching hot cock presses in. “It’s- it’s just- fuck.”
Faster. Harder. So sloppy that the planks of the floorboards start to sing out in singing creaks of protest, soiling with a trickle of syrupy precum and slick being poured from straight between your legs. Constantly.
Rubbing himself swollen n’ redly raw on the cavern of your tight pussy, Nanami doesn’t even want to blink to break his staring contest with your bulging pussylips.
Milking himself.
The sweetest smooch for your sweetest spot, Nanami coos as you shake- struggling to keep your weakened arms straight as you hold yourself up in this lecherous position. “Come now.” Your overstimulated vision spots with pure white as he darts the hand at your stomach to loop around your throat like a necklace - a headlock. Springing you upright—“I have you, My Lady.”
Spittle waterfalls in embarrassing bucketloads from your mouth and stains the front of his beefy forearm, squeezing your airway. Dilated pupils swirlin’ stupidly every time his strawberry divot circles the entrance to your womb. Squealing, “Y-you…ngh!…mm–”
“Hmmm—?”
“You- hck! please, Ken-”
His warm, ravaging cock was so big that the constant stretch of your walls finally had you stupid. Your brain nothing but a pulp of melted mush every time he snaps his clammy hips to your ass with a stinging pap! of skin-on-skin.
Me…I’m-” And it’s like each time the puffy veins decorating each side of his overworked shaft gets squeezed, Nanami finds himself seeing stars. Sweaty, bulging biceps tightening on your throat even harder- you scream. “I have you, My Lady- I’m yours.”
Your hole gaping, thighs wet. Just taking everything he’s giving as he finally cums—and you do, too.
Though, you’re not registering it at first.
Not when that leaky hole at the very end of his cherry-red shaft pipes out a creamy icing of cum, layering thickly across every inch and cranny of your rummaged insides. Pump after pump- each one has your pathetic pussy overspilling with so many knotted wads of seed, and yet he always had so much more more more-
“O-oh.” He’s grunting out, feeling a particularly big splash of sap at the base of his cock- and it’s only then that you’re both realizing that you’d just squirted. All over again.
It’s traveling down like a flood between your thighs, painting a glistening ring on the tawny curls at his hilt. Soaking him utterly n’ completely that Nanami finds each thrust to let off the most primal sluuuurp!
“You- you really are the most beautiful hck! lady that has graced this Earth, my love.” Your gaze, your smile, that soul. It was your soul he found most beautiful, the instant he laid his eyes upon you.
He simply knew.
“Y-yet, I’m a chambermaid-”
“I care not.”
“You’re just-” It’s a damn wonder that you even could still speak by now, because every rubbin’ massage of his fat cock only left your mind blank. “-saying- mmm- saying that, Kento.”
“I fear you are mistaken.”
His veins indent your walls with lightning bolts, his cum cobwebbed across your spongy cervix and was splashing after each jackhammer.
Nanami drills into you low and slow now just to help your dripping wet cunt suck him dry. Loving the cute, velvety way you were clamping around his rovering shaft tiredly, “Only allow me to prove my ngh- heart.”
You’re so fucked-out that you’re barely even flinching when he’s finally freeing you of his sinful headlock. Taking mere nanoseconds to pluck that infamous House of Nanami signet ring off of his finger- and pushing it straight down the ring finger on your left.
An engagement. A promise.
“I shall get you another ring- one that is proper, one you deserve, when- if you shall have me, My Lady.” The smoky tone of Nanami Kento’s bass tickles the side of your stinging throat, almost a purr. “I swear it upon my word-” He guides that very same boneless hand of yours to cup his plush, thumping left pectoral. “-and my heart, to forever keep you the most beautiful lady upon this Earth. You shall never want, for I pledge to you my body, my soul for your happiness.”
You whimper, thighs still shaking with your high. Tears slipping down your face that he kisses away, “I-if you’ll have me, Your Grace.”
“Kento.”
“Kento.”
And by the time the last of his wadded ounces of cum had finished spraying out, Nanami pulls his hips back with a bellowing squelch that makes your body heat flare. Such a creamy mess of ivory glossing your pussylips that he’s taking one glimpse at and gasping-
You mewl, “K-Ken, what are you-”
“It seems…” He drawls, manhandling you spread-out onto your back with his sculptured hands. Snaking his face down to mouth a hot puff over your swollen folds that stick together. Tasting. Drooling like he’d just happened across his favorite dessert. “-that the ball is far from finished, my wife.”
.
.
.
Dearest gentle reader,
It seems we have a rather special (and scandalously romantic!) special announcement. Yes, whilst your lips were whispering at her majesty the Queen’s Royal Diamond Ball the previous night, those of his grace, Duke Nanami Kento, have certainly been up to worse.
The ton reached new heights of hysteria over Duke Nanami’s attendance of the ball with his lovely chambermaid acquaintance. This author personally confirms that her highness’s royal orchestra was barely audible over the sound of shattering hearts!
However, if this was where the story ended, dear readers, we would still possess our wits. Not only had her highness titled this unnamed belle of the ball as the Diamond of the season; aforementioned diamond was not in audience of her naming!
Where was she, you might ask? Why, nowhere else but bedding a certain handsome duke—or so palace patrol whisper amongst the halls.
An impatient dalliance or stirring the pot? You tell me, dear reader, though it certainly doesn’t help that said new diamond was spotted near the end of the evening with both a real diamond and the Nanami signet ring upon one’s betrothal finger!
It’s said that the House of Nanami - and particularly a once-stoic Duke Nanami Kento - has been exceptionally lively in preparation for the blessed union and his new bride.
On the other hand, this author shall have to purchase new robes for a summer wedding.
Yours Truly,
Lady Whistledown.
A/N. Tell me why it was SAUR difficult to write in regency speak I feel like I don’t even know this language anymore pls-

I am my father’s daughter.
Except… I’m not.
I’m not cruel.
I’m not reactionary.
I’m not unfair. Or unwilling.
I’m not scary. I’m not angry.
I’m not the werewolf in my dreams. The one that lurks, and preys, and waits until I let my guard down to eat away at me.
I don’t demand people’s fear because I’m too afraid I won’t earn their respect.
I have empathy. I have emotional intelligence.
I’m not my father’s daughter.
No. Not at all. Not even a little bit.
Except…I think that maybe I am.
I think about that time when I made a girl cry in middle school because she made me feel small.
Or the time I called my landlord a cunt because she made me feel weak.
How many times have I taken someone’s power
to stop feeling powerless?
I think I am my father’s daughter.
I think he’s in every part of myself that I hate.
I think that maybe he was his father’s son.
I think he’s tried and failed to cope with his monster.
I think I’m destined to repeat the cycle.
But fuck destiny. I’ll create my own.
I’ll scratch and claw away at the monster he's made me until it learns to fear me.
I’ll eat that monster down to its bones.
I’ll swallow it whole.
I am my father’s daughter.
But I’m trying not to be.

Dating Abby
❥ teases you a lot. Abby, fresh out of the shower, his body still dripping as he stands in the dim light of his bathroom. Steam clings to the mirror, curling around the edges of his reflection. He drags a hand through his wet hair, slow and deliberate, before glancing down at the pathetic excuse of a towel slung low on his hips.
The towel clings obscenely to his hips, heavy with water and doing nothing to hide the very obvious outline straining beneath it. He’s already hard. His abs flex with every breath, rivulets of water trailing over his v-line, sliding down toward the bulge pulsing against the thin cotton.
And of course, he picks up his phone.
He sends you the first photo.
Then another.
Then a close-up, jaw sharp and lips parted just enough to show the edge of a grin. And finally, a video, his voice a low, dangerous rasp.
“Couldn’t stop thinking about you, kitten. This is what you do to me.”
You’re in bed when the first photo hits your phone, and your breath catches. Jaw slack. Pulse skipping. By the third image, your thighs are pressing together and your fingers tremble as you scroll. The moment his voice hits your ears through the video, your body lights up.
He texts again:
“You gonna just stare, baby? Or do you want me to come over and show you how hard I ache for you?”
❥ possessive man. You didn’t even notice the guy at first. He was just another backstage assistant—friendly, smiley, a little too bold for someone who just handed you a water bottle. He tried asking you out. You laugh politely, taking a step back. But before you can say another word, a hand slides around your waist — broad, warm, commanding.
Abby doesn’t say a thing at first. Just presses his chest to your back, the heat of his bare arm wrapping around your front like a claim. His palm settles possessively on your lower stomach, thumb rubbing slow, hypnotic circles into your side. The kind of touch that says mine without a single word.
“Hey,” the assistant starts again, clearly not getting the message. “We were just—”
Abby finally speaks, voice low and deceptively calm. “She’s not available.” His lips brush your ear as he says it, breath hot, voice smooth and deep like it’s meant to melt straight into your skin.
The guy stiffens, mumbles something, and backs away fast. He turns you gently, slowly, until you're facing him. His gaze drops to your mouth, then drags back up, lazy and dark.
“You didn’t even notice I was watching, did you?” he murmurs. “Saw him eyeing you the second you walked in. Saw the way you smiled back.” He leans in until your foreheads touch, voice just a breath. “You really think I’d let that slide?”
You don’t respond.
Not with the way his hand slips lower on your waist. Not with the way his thumb grazes the line of skin just above your waistband. His nose brushes yours as he tilts his head, not kissing you — just close enough to make you ache for it.
“I don’t care if the whole building’s watching,” he whispers, “I’ll make sure they all know who you belong to.”
❥ touchy touchyyy. Abby doesn’t mean to overwhelm you. Not intentionally, no. But he has no real concept of his own strength — not when it comes to you. He’s a demon, built like a fortress, all sharp abs and towering height, and you? You’re human. Soft. Fragile. Smaller in ways he’s painfully aware of every time he pulls you into his arms
And gods, he tries to be gentle.
But then you look at him with those tired eyes, wrap your arms around his waist like you need him, and something inside him growls to life.
His hands are always on you. A palm on your lower back when you walk, fingers brushing your thigh when you sit beside him, arms wrapped tight around you when you so much as breathe differently. He touches you like he’s making sure you’re still there, still his — always tethered to him.
Sometimes he hugs you too tight without realizing, until you gasp and press a hand to his chest with a breathless laugh. He instantly loosens his grip, brows furrowing, lips brushing your forehead as he murmurs, “Sorry, baby... didn’t mean to crush you.”
But he never fully lets go.
❥ being soft only for you. You’re curled up on the couch, hoodie pulled over your knees, a faint wince tugging at your features with every cramp. You didn’t say much—just a quiet “I’m fine” when he asked.
But Abby knows better.
He’s behind you within seconds, sliding onto the couch without a word. One arm wraps securely around your waist, the other gently pulling your hips back until you're resting fully against his chest.
His hand moves under the hoodie, warm palm pressing against the tense muscles low on your stomach. The way he strokes your skin there, slow and rhythmic, has you breathing deeper without realizing it.
You sigh. He tightens his hold around your waist in response, like he’s drawing the pain out of you with every pass of his hand.
“That’s it,” he whispers, lips ghosting your temple. “Let me take care of you.”
❥ always asks you to work out with him. Not because he actually expects you to break a sweat — no, never that. He just likes having you close. Laying around like some pretty little prize while he grunts and moves and flexes, his sweat-slicked body a full visual buffet made just for you.
“Come here,” he says today, already shirtless, already glistening. His abs flex with every breath as he lowers himself onto the floor, smirking at the way your eyes wander. “If you’re not gonna work out, at least make yourself useful.”
You raise a brow, feigning boredom. “Useful how?”
His answer is a low growl of a laugh as he gently tugs you down beside him. Then under him. One strong arm wraps around your waist, flipping you easily onto your back until he’s caging you there — arms planted on either side of your head, chest hovering just inches above yours.
“I need motivation,” he murmurs.
He dips down slow and presses a kiss to your lips.
Push-up one. Victory kiss.
He lowers again. This time, he brushes the tip of his nose against yours before kissing you again, slower.
Push-up two. Another kiss.
By the third one, you’re squirming slightly under him, warmth pooling low in your stomach as his heavy body moves above yours, sweat from his chest just starting to kiss your skin.
“You know,” you whisper, grinning as he hovers above your lips, “this doesn’t really count as me working out.”
He silences your smirk with a kiss that steals your breath. Firmer. Longer.
“Then stay still and look pretty,” he murmurs against your lips. “That’s your job.”
You don’t argue. Not when he keeps pressing into you like that, every push-up a reward, every kiss a claim.
Some days he switches it up.
“On my back, pretty girl,” he says, voice thick and dark and hungry for you. “I need the extra weight.”
You blink. “You serious?”
“Kitten,” he chuckles, “I could do this with you asleep on me.”
You giggle, but climb onto his back, arms slipping around his neck, chest pressing to his sweat-damp skin.
He starts moving immediately — push-ups like you weigh nothing, like he was built to carry you.
When he finally collapses onto the floor with you still clinging to him, he rolls over and cages you under his weight, eyes locked on yours, breathing heavy.
Then he kisses you again — deep and slow, like you're the only thing that ever made him lose control.

cw: implied female reader, kidnapping situation, a shit ton of cursing, Romance being a flirt, a boner, mentions of sex, Mystery being curious about your body, boys being boys and fucking with you. Part 2 here
You stand at the sleek marble counter, a knife in your hand, slicing through a peach.
Behind you, Romance’s laugh fills the room, deep, as Mystery literally tackles him over the back of the couch. They hit the floor with a heavy thud, limbs tangled, and Mystery growls.
Romance? He’s grinning. Loving every second.
“Damn, if you wanted to get me on my back you could’ve just asked.” he purrs, voice smooth.
Mystery’s response is to sink his teeth—actually sink his teeth—into Romance’s shoulder.
“Fuck—ah, yes, harder!” Romance groans dramatically, shoving at Mystery’s face but clearly not trying to get him off.
You just keep cutting your peach, the juice sticky on your fingers.
Abby’s sprawled in an armchair, bouncing a stress ball off the wall hard enough you’re certain he’ll crack the plaster. He’s wearing a tank top that shows off his arms and his attention span is shot to shit. He’s been drumming his fingers, cracking his neck, muttering to himself about needing to do something.
Baby’s on the floor, cross-legged, looking at his phone what he grew to love so so so much since they figured it out. He actually looks like he has no idea what’s going on but doesn’t care anyway.
Jinu is in the kitchen, not far from you, sipping tea like none of this is happening. His hair’s still a little damp from a shower, and he looks… normal. Calm. Like he could be your neighbor, the guy who helps carry your groceries.
He notices you’re out of reach of the fruit bowl and slides it closer without a word.
“Thanks.” you mutter, not looking up.
Not forgetting that you fucking HATE his guts!!
“You’re welcome.”
And that’s the thing with Jinu. He’s nice. Too nice.
You slice another piece of peach. Try to pretend you don’t hear Romance moaning as Mystery bites him again.
Baby snorts quietly, still scrolling.
You just keep slicing fruit, silent, petty, waiting for the moment they let their guard down. Not happening.
Romance walks over eventually, leaning against the counter next to you. His scent hits you—fuck you in the ass it’s good. Why does it have to be good?
“Need help with that, angel?” he murmurs, voice like velvet, fingers brushing a piece of peach off your plate and popping it into his mouth.
You don’t look at him. “Fuck off.”
“Alrighty.”
He doesn’t move though.
Mystery, now perched on the arm of the couch, watches the two of you , you’d guess. You can’t see those fuckass eyes.
You remember the first meet.
God. The girls just finished, you gave them all the luxury they could ever need then went back to your apartment. Exhausted. Filthy. You got home, peeled off your clothes, stepped into that shower, and thought—finally. Finally, you could breathe.
Then, a bold whistle from behind you.
You turned your head, soap stinging your eyes, and there was….
Drumroll…
🥁🥁🥁
Romance.
Yes indeed, the fucker whistled.
You froze. Completely naked, completely vulnerable. He moved fast—too fast—hand over your mouth, body pressed up to the shower glass.
“Don’t scream. We’re just gonna have a little chat.”
You wanted to kick him. You really did. But he had you pinned, all casual, like this was just another Tuesday for him.
“Options.” he murmured, thumb stroking your cheek like he was trying to soothe you. “You tell me what I wanna know. Or—and I like this one better—I take you with me.”
You glared at him. You hated him.
(Since your girls did too and know he’s a demon but anyway)
But what could you do? Naked, trapped, outmatched. So you nodded. Let him hand you a towel. Let him grin when you dressed in whatever you could grab. Let him walk you out of your own damn apartment like he was your date for the night.
You snap back to now, slicing that peach a little too hard. The knife hits the cutting board with a sharp thunk.
Romance notices. Of course he notices. He always notices.
“Careful, baby. Gonna hurt yourself.” he teases, snagging another piece of fruit from your plate like he has every right.
You don’t answer. Just cut another slice, the peach juice sticky on your fingers.
Then there was the time you tried to run.
You’d waited until late. Until they were sprawled out, arguing over anything, distracted by their own bullshit. You’d crept to the door, so quiet. Almost made it.
Baby caught you. Not with strength. With a simple:
“Hm?”
And then Jinu was there. Calm. Closing the door gently. Taking your arm, leading you back.
“Don’t do that, okay?” he’d said, as if you’d just made a small mistake. Like it wasn’t a big fucking deal.
Romance had clapped you on the back when you were forced to sit back down. “A+ for effort, though.”
Slice. Slice. Another piece of peach.
Mystery’s watching you now. Not saying anything, just watching. His head tilted, into your direction.
You finish slicing the peach. Set the knife down.
Romance steals another piece, grinning at you over it.
Mystery growls under his breath at the whole thing.
Abby’s already forgotten about you, too busy flicking Baby’s ear to annoy him.
Jinu’s watching you quietly, you’d guess. Don’t give him the satisfaction of looking at him.
You remember that time you bit Romance.
God, the nerve of him. You were done—so done—with him always getting too close.
D-O-N-E.
That time, when he cornered you to get things out of you. “C’mon, angel, just tell me a little secret. Just one. I’ll owe you.” He’d said. “You’re so tense. I can help with that…”
And you just snapped. Lunged in and bit his arm as hard as you could.
And the fucker?
The fuck?
He winked at you.
Didn’t pull away. Didn’t cuss you out. Just grinned like you’d given him a gift. “Easy, girl.” he said, voice low, leaning in so close you could feel the heat of him. “Didn’t know you liked it rough.”
You wanted to scream. Instead, you glared and tried to yank free, and he let you—only because he felt like it. Not because you could have escaped him.
You organize the little peaches on your plate. They looked quite cute.
You tried to stand your ground once.
Told Abby to back off, to leave you alone. And what did he do?
He laughed. That easy, bright, warm laugh like you’d just told him a joke. Then he slung his arm around your shoulders and practically dragged you down the hall like you were his best bud.
“You’re funny as hell.” he said, ruffling your hair like you weren’t glaring daggers at him. “C’mon.”
Asshole.
“Where you think you’re going, superstar?” he’d teased last time, when you made it to the elevator and thought, for one sweet second, you were free.
You’d fought. Kicked. Swore.
And he’d just laughed, hoisting you up like you weighed nothing. Carried you back down the hall like you were some drunk friend at a party, not a prisoner.
“C’mon now. You know you’re not going anywhere. Let’s not make it weird.”
Baby shifts where he’s sitting, lazy as ever, glancing up from his phone just long enough to take a sassy look at you.
Then there was time they played good cop/bad cop on you.
Mystery had you cornered in the kitchen. Not even saying anything—just standing there, too close. You’d tried to sidestep him. He’d mirrored the move, blocking you without touching.
And then Romance walked in. All relaxed, all casual. Slid in between you and Mystery, arm around your waist like it was his right.
“Ease up.” he said to Mystery, but his hand tightened on your side. “She’s not gonna run. Are you, angel?”
You bite into a piece of peach now.
Or there’s the night you tried to lock yourself in a room.
Abby broke the door down. Just… busted it open like it was made of cardboard.
“Don’t do that, babe.” he said, happy af, picking you up like you weighed nothing and carrying you back to the main room. “You’re gonna make us feel bad, hiding like that.”
You’d pounded at his chest. Tried to fight.
And he’d just laughed again, so warm, so easy, like you were play-wrestling.
You put the cutting board back, close the cabinet a little too hard.
There are also mind games. Oh, the fucking mind games.
Like how Jinu always helps. Always so polite, so considerate. Slips a glass of water into your hand when you’re too angry to ask. Pulls out a chair for you. Puts a blanket over you when you fall asleep
(and yeah, you pretended to be asleep that time. sue you, you were cold).
And it gets in your head. Makes you second-guess your hate. Makes you wonder if maybe he’d let you go if you just asked nicely enough. Makes you forget, for a second, that he’s the one who seals the doors behind you.
Or how Baby never speaks to you unless it’s to cut you down.
That time you begged, just once, just quietly, just to Baby because the others were too busy fucking around, you asked him to help you slip out.
And he’d looked at you. Just looked. And smiled that tiny, mean smile of his.
“Cute that you think anyone here gives a fuck what you want.”
Yeah, when he doesn’t currently not give a fuck about what’s happening around him, this is what you’ll get of him. Allat pretty face is a waste, fr.
You wipe down the counter, scrubbing too hard, like you can erase their fingerprints from your space.
And Mystery.
Mystery, who’s so feral you almost thought you could use that. That maybe he was the weak link. That maybe his violence meant he didn’t care about the plan, that he’d let you go just to spite the others.
But no.
Like the time you tried to sneak a phone off the coffee table, thinking no one was looking.
Mystery had crossed the room in a blink, snatched it out of your hand, and grabbed your jaw so fast your ears rang.
His nails had pricked your skin. His breath had been hot, his growl low.
“Don’t.”
One word. That’s all. And then he let go like you were nothing. Like you didn’t even matter enough to punish.
You open the fridge, shove the plate in, close it again like the slam of the door can drown out the noise in your head.
You turn, walk closer to them in the living room so you look more genuine, sweet like sugar because you can’t help it. That’s just how you sound.
“Can I use the sauna?” you ask.
No one says anything for half a beat.
Jinu the asshole the FUCKING asshole hums. “In exchange for some information, you know. Tell us a thing or two.”
You groan. Actually groan. And before you can stop yourself, you do the tiniest, most frustrated little kick at the air. Just a flick of your foot, like you’re trying to shake off the annoyance. Just a little kick. Adorable, really. A stupid, tiny burst of frustration because this is so fucking unfair and they know it.
And that’s when Abby, quick, grabs your leg mid-kick.
“Gotcha.” he says, voice bright. And the worst part? He doesn’t even look at you. He’s already turned back to whatever dumb shit they’re talking about, your ankle resting in his grip.
And now you’re there, balancing on one foot, arms out a little to steady yourself.
“Abby—let go—!”
But he’s not paying you any mind. His fingers loose but firm around your ankle, like he could crush it if he felt like it, but he’s just holding it.
As if you’re some toy he forgot he was playing with. Fucking asshole.
Romance sees the opportunity immediately. He slides closer, slow, a finger tapping at your knee, then your thigh, all innocent and infuriating. “Look at you. One foot. So talented.”
You swat at him, trying to push him away, but that just makes him laugh.
Mystery, meanwhile, is staring at your leg. Head tilted, curious. Like he can’t decide if he wants to pounce on it or just… study it. It’s been a while since he’s seen a human girl this close. That’s obvious in the way his gaze lingers too long on the shape of your calf, the flex of your foot as you wobble.
Baby is absolutely checking out your ass.
Not even trying to hide it.
One glance over his phone, those eyes sliding down, a little smirk ghosting at the corner of his mouth before he looks back at his screen like he’s the innocent one here.
You hop a little, trying to tug your leg free, still balancing awkwardly. “Abby—seriously!”
But Abby just laughs, chatting with Jinu, your leg still in his grip.
Romance pokes at you again. This time at your side, grinning when you squirm. “Careful, sweetheart. You’ll fall and hurt yourself.”
You try to stomp your other foot, frustrated beyond words, but you’re already jumping on one leg, and that just makes all of them snicker.
“Abby!”
“Hmm?” His voice is unbothered, eyes still not on you. “Oh. Right. Forgot I was holding you.”
Liar.
“Nah, c’mon—tell us a secret.” Abby says.
You tug.
He doesn’t budge.
“Abby.” you hiss.
But it’s useless.
Romance pokes you in the side, fascinated by the way your curves move.
“Stop it—” you try to swat at him, but you’re too busy trying not to fall flat on your ass.
Romance laughs, brushing your hand aside easily. His fingers brush your free ankle lightly, just to mess with you, and you nearly lose your balance again.
“Seriously, let go.” you snap, hopping on your one foot, trying to twist free.
But Abby’s grip is firm, not tight enough to hurt, just impossible to break.
He still isn’t looking at you. Instead, he’s grinning at Romance. “Hey, look at this—” he lifts your foot slightly, turning it in his hand like he’s inspecting it “—her foot’s like half the size of yours.”
Romance, of course, is lining his foot up next to yours while you’re still caught there, balancing. His grin is all teeth. “Tiny.” he says, delighted.
You’re burning up with embarrassment now, face hot, heart pounding for all the wrong reasons. You’re jumping a little, trying to shake your foot loose, but all it does is make Romance poke at you more, fingers brushing your calf, your ankle, your side.
“Stop it!” you snap, swatting at him, but you can’t even aim right on one foot.
Baby doesn’t even hide it anymore. He leans back, arms crossed, eyes flicking between your legs, your ass, your face, enjoying every second of this humiliation.
“Alright, c’mon now.” Abby says, finally glancing at you. “Give us a little intel, and you can go steam yourself all you want.”
You’re about to lose your balance for real—arms flailing slightly, heel of your standing foot sliding on the polished floor—when finally, finally, Jinu’s voice cuts through the mess.
“You can use the sauna.” he says simply, with a small nod, like it should’ve been obvious all along.
“There you go, superstar.” Abby lets go, laughing under his breath as if this was all in good fun. You stumble, catch yourself on the couch, heart pounding, face flushed.
Romance grins, hands up like he’s innocent. “See? All you had to do was ask.”
Baby smirks, looking back down at his phone as if he wasn’t just ogling you.
Mystery sinks back onto the couch arm, still watching, but at least he isn’t about to lunge anymore.
You straighten, brushing your hands down your sides, trying to regain a scrap of dignity.
“Thanks.” you mutter, shooting a glare at the rest of them before turning on your heel and heading toward the sauna.
Romance leans back, hands up like he’s innocent. “Enjoy yourself, angel.”
Baby gives you one last look, and Mystery’s head follows you until you’re out of reach.
You huff, fixing your clothes, dignity in shambles as you stomp toward the sauna.
God, you hate them.
God, they’re fucking hilarious.
God, you hate that you almost laughed too.
Alright, so there you are. Finally. Finally in the sauna.
You thought maybe—maybe—you could steal this one small victory. After all the shit they put you through, the teasing, the games, the constant pushing and pulling, you’d gotten away.
The heat envelops you, thick, fogging up the glass as you sit there, knees tucked up, towel clutched tight to your chest.
Your heartbeat’s just starting to slow. Your breathing evens out. The sweat begins to bead at your temples, trickle down your neck, and for a blissful minute, you think:
peace.
And then.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
You freeze. Eyes snap to the glass door.
Abby and Romance.
Side by side, standing just outside the sauna with the most shit-eating grins you’ve ever seen.
And god help you,
they’re in nothing but towels.
Romance has his slung low on his hips, arms crossed behind his head. Like he knew what this would do to you. His eyes meet yours through the steam, and his grin somehow widens.
Abby’s hitched up carelessly at his waist, and he’s leaning against the glass with both hands, forehead pressed against it, breathing patterns making little clouds on the surface.
And because he’s Abby and he’s got no shame, he leans in further until his abs are smushed up against the glass too, leaving perfect imprints of his ridiculous physique.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Romance’s knuckle on the door this time, slow and rhythmic, like they’ve got all the time in the world.
These bastards have nothing but time. And you? You’re the best entertainment they’ve had in centuries. Three hundred years of whatever suffering Gwi-ma put them through, until you.
And you can tell. You can see it in their faces, the way they’re lit up like kids on Christmas morning. The way they’re making a game out of this. The way they’re not just keeping you prisoner, they’re enjoying every second of it, like you’re their favorite new toy.
“Baby girl.” Romance calls, voice muffled through the glass, drawing the words out like a slow melody. He knocks again, forehead resting against the glass, leaning down a little so his eyes are level with yours. “Come on. Don’t be like that.”
(Guys I don’t mean baby girl in a weird way I promiseeeee)
Abby starts whining. Full-on whining, dragging out the vowels like he’s the one being tortured here.
“Pleeeaaaseee. Let us in. Don’t hog all the steam. You know it’s rude.”
Your grip on your towel tightens. You shake your head, glaring, but that just seems to make them more determined.
Romance is flattening his palms against the glass, leaning his weight forward, so casual.
“C’mon, sweetheart.” he purrs. “It’s not safe to sauna alone. What if you pass out? What if you get too hot?” His voice drops lower, dripping with mock concern. “We’d hate for something bad to happen to you.”
You point at them through the foggy glass. “Stay out.”
They’re having the time of their lives.
Abby’s face is smushed against the door now, nose flattened, grinning so hard you can see the crinkle of his eyes even through the fog. He slides down slightly so his chest presses up too, leaving an actual print on the glass that you’re sure you’ll see in your nightmares.
“Come oooonnnn.” he drags out, hands sliding down the glass with exaggerated despair. “It’s lonely out here. It’s cold.”
“Yeah.” Romance chimes in, knocking his knuckles lightly again, rhythm playful. “So cold. We’re shivering.”
Neither of them looks the least bit cold. They look like gods, golden and gleaming in the low light, all muscle.
Abby presses his forehead right next to Romance’s, their faces squished together, two idiots united in their mission to annoy the living shit out of you. His abs are still plastered to the glass, leaving sweaty smudges in their shape.
Romance starts dragging out words like he’s dying of heartbreak. “Weeeee just waaaant to reeeelaaax.”
And then, before you can stop it, the door creaks open.
Romance’s hand is already on the handle. Abby’s pushing through behind him, grinning.
“You—” you start, clutching your towel tighter, scooting back like that’s going to help.
Romance plops down way too close, towel barely clinging on, stretching his long legs out. He leans back, hands braced behind him, turning his head to look at you with that maddening, lazy smile.
Abby flops down on your other side, sighing like he’s just found heaven, spreading out. He stretches his arms up, rolls his shoulders, all muscle.
“This is much better.” Abby says cheerfully.
“Yeah.” Romance agrees, eyes glinting with as he studies you, watching the way you clutch your towel like it’s the only thing saving your dignity. “See? Cozy.”
You glare at them both, heart hammering so loud you’re sure they can hear it over the hiss of the steam.
“You could’ve waited.” you mutter, trying to inch away without actually standing and risking… well, anything.
Romance leans in slightly, close enough that you can see the bead of sweat trailing down his temple, the curve of his smirk.
Then, these assholes giggle.
Giggle.
Big, strong, terrifying demons who could rip a man apart in seconds, sitting on either side of you, legs sprawled, water dripping down their ridiculously perfect bodies—and giggling like schoolgirls who just found a crush’s diary.
Romance leans forward, glancing at Abby, his grin wide and boyish and so fucking irritating. His hair’s still damp, little droplets sliding down the sharp line of his jaw, catching in the hollow of his throat before disappearing below that towel hanging far too low on his hips.
Abby snorts, eyes crinkling, that same big, bright grin that makes it impossible to stay mad at him for long—no matter how much you want to. He’s got one arm thrown over the back of the bench.
“I feel relaxed already.” Abby teases, voice low and warm.
And the giggling starts again. Little bursts of it, like they can’t believe their luck.
You press your back against the wall, eyes narrowed, clutching your towel so hard you might leave permanent wrinkles in the fabric. You feel the heat rising higher in your cheeks now, but it’s not from the sauna.
Because they’re close. So close you can feel the heat coming off them, not just the sauna’s heat but theirs. Like being caught between two furnaces.
Fuck them.
And they’re not just sitting there politely, minding their business. Oh no. Their gazes slide over you, undressing you with their eyes without a single ounce of shame.
Romance lets his gaze drop, lazily, from your flushed face to the slope of your shoulders, down the curve of your towel-clad body, he’s imagining exactly what’s under there. He doesn’t even try to hide it.
His mouth quirks up at the corner like he’s thoroughly enjoying the view.
Abby’s no better. His eyes trace you all the same. Like he’s taking mental snapshots, adding to whatever collection of moments he’s tucking away for the next time he’s bored at 3 a.m.
And it’s not subtle.
They’d hit that. No question. In a heartbeat.
Hell, Romance would have you against the sauna wall the second you blinked yes—if you blinked yes. The man has no shame. His lust, so open, so easy, it’s like breathing to him.
But that’s the thing about Romance—he knows the difference. Knows the difference between wanting to get you under him and wanting something real.
And somehow, that second thing? That’s creeping in now, too.
It’s not just the game anymore. Not just the fun of teasing you, seeing how red they can make you go, seeing how long they can keep you flustered before you snap.
It’s that you feel different.
You’re not like the other fleeting amusements they’ve found across centuries of boredom and bloodshed. You’re not just a pretty face they can toy with until it breaks.
You’re the most fun they’ve had in so long they’ve almost forgotten what fun is.
It’s growing. Quietly, steadily, in between all the teasing.
Romance, for all his shameless flirting, knows it too. His desire’s loud, sure, but this other feeling? This is different. It’s not about the chase, or the win, or the thrill of the moment. It’s about the way his heart kicks up when you roll your eyes at him, when you snap back, when you don’t fold.
And Abby? He’s the same. He laughs and plays and pokes, but somewhere in the cracks, something real’s settling in.
Something that isn’t just about keeping entertained.
You’re fun. You’re alive.
And in their endless stretch of centuries, that’s fun.
Because now, it’s not just about keeping you around for what you know.
Now, it’s about keeping you around because they want you around.
All those feelings for them, while just now, you had enough. Enough.
So you stand.
You push yourself up off the bench, clutching your towel, heart pounding, cheeks blazing, ready to make your exit.
But the second you straighten, the second you think you’ve reclaimed a scrap of dignity, Abby decides otherwise.
Big, warm hands catch your wrist and waist at once, and before you can so much as yelp, he drags you right back down into his lap.
“Ah-ah. Where you goin’, babe?” he says, voice all smooth, like you’re a kitten trying to escape bath time. His grin’s wide, eyes sparkling with that boyish light that makes you want to slap him and maybe kiss him just to wipe it off his face.
And there you are—your much smaller frame hauled back against him, towel still clutched to your chest, your legs draped awkwardly over his, skin burning where it meets his.
You squirm.
You kick and wiggle and slap at his arms, trying to peel yourself free, but it’s like fighting a brick wall that laughs at you.
“Let me go!” you snap, voice high with frustration, but you might as well be shouting at the wind.
Because Abby’s laughing now. Genuinely laughing, head tipped back a little, like this is the funniest shit he’s seen in decades.
Romance is no better. He’s doubled over, palm slapping the bench, laughing so hard he can barely breathe. That rich, boyish sound fills the sauna, echoing off the wood, making your cheeks burn hotter.
You kick again, trying to shove at Abby’s chest, trying to slide off his lap, but he’s holding you tight, like it’s nothing.
Abby leans in a little, his grin crooked now, voice low and warm, the kind of tone that makes you want to hide.
“You’re makin’ this real hard for me, sweetheart.” he says, and there’s no mistaking the double meaning.
Your heart lurches.
And, oh—you feel it. You definitely feel it.
Right there, under you.
A huge fucking boner.
And instead of stopping—instead of being sensible—you kick more. You squirm harder. Your face is on fire, but you’re determined to break free, determined to make him pay for putting you in this position, even if it’s making everything so much worse.
Abby groans low in his throat, but it’s laced with laughter, like he knows exactly what you’re doing and loves it. Loves that you’re trying. Loves that you’re flustered and mad and completely powerless.
Romance is laughing so hard he can’t sit upright, folding over himself, practically wheezing, tears streaming down his cheeks, pointing at you both like he can’t believe how lucky he is to witness this.
You give one more valiant wiggle, slap at Abby’s arm, and finally—finally—he lets go. Though maybe because he’s too worked up to keep playing
“Alright, alright.” he says, laughing, lifting his hands in surrender. “You win, babe. Go on.”
You shoot up like your life depends on it, clutching your towel so tight your fingers ache, hair sticking to your sweaty forehead, chest heaving. You glare down at both of them, cheeks blazing, trying to regain a shred of dignity.
Abby is the picture of innocence now. One leg up to hide his hard on, arms draped across the back of the bench, looking for all the world like he’s just a guy enjoying a sauna and not someone who just very nearly got dry-humped into oblivion by a squirming, furious human girl.
But of course, the second you’re upright, Romance leans forward, grinning wickedly, fingers grabbing for the edge of your towel.
“Just one little peek.” he says, and his hand shoots out, fingers hooking the edge of your towel.
You shriek, twisting away just in time, slapping his hands, stumbling toward the door. The towel stays on—thank god—but barely.
Romance collapses back onto the bench, grinning, breathless from laughing.
“Worth a shot.” he teases, voice low and sinful. “Next time, angel.”
You don’t look back. You can’t. You’re too busy marching toward the door, heart hammering, body burning, swearing to yourself you’ll never trust a sauna again.
And behind you, the sound of their laughter chases you all the way out.
You storm out of that sauna, towel clutched so tight it’s a wonder you haven’t shredded it by sheer force of will. Your heart’s hammering in your chest, skin blazing from more than just the steam, and you’re done. Done with Abby’s lap. Done with Romance’s bullshit. Done with them probably high fiving each other as you’re walking. Done with all of it.
You stomp barefoot across the marble floors, steam still rising from your skin, water droplets trailing behind you.
And then you hit the living room.
Jinu’s perched on the edge of the couch, looking every bit the composed, gentlemanly demon he always pretends to be—except for the fact that his eyes widen ever so slightly at the sight of you. His lips twitch at the corners, like he’s trying not to smile.
“You went in there with clothes on.” he says, voice mild. “I’m pretty sure of it.”
You don’t even slow down. You wave a hand at him, dismissive, furious, embarrassed beyond belief but way too stubborn to show it.
“Not now, Jinu.”
“Just pointing it out.” he says, and you can hear that gentle, teasing lilt in his voice now that somehow makes it worse. Like he’s the only one in this house capable of being nice to you, but he still can’t help poking at you when you’re like this.
You glance down just in time to see Mystery crouched slightly, head tilted, attention fixed on the hem of your towel.
His hand twitches, like he’s fighting the urge to just lift it and satisfy his curiosity.
“Mystery—”
You swat at him, fast, instinctive. Like shooing off a cat who’s about to knock over a glass.
He tries again.
“Mystery or whatever your fucking name is!”
Your voice pitches higher. You swat at him again, and this time he dodges.
Baby’s watching the whole thing from the arm of the couch, shoulders shaking as he laughs quietly.
You and Mystery keep up this ridiculous dance—him darting, trying to sneak a look, you batting him off.
Every time you think you’ve shaken him, he circles back around, silent, predatory.
“Mystery, stop it!” you hiss, stomping your foot, cheeks burning so hot you’re sure they must be glowing.
He actually listens. Pulls back just a bit, but not before giving you this tilt of his head—this weird, almost innocent curiosity, like he really, genuinely wants to know what’s up there. Not because he’s trying to be a creep. Just because he’s Mystery.
He leans back, hands up, like he was just wondering, like you can’t blame a guy for being curious.
You tug your towel tighter, shooting him a glare that promises violence if he tries it again.
Baby just tips his head back and laughs, soft and delighted.
You storm the rest of the way across the living room, muttering curses under your breath, knowing full well this won’t be the last time they pull this shit.
Because why would it be?
You’re the best fun they’ve had in centuries.
You slam the door to your room shut with more force than necessary, your heart still thundering in your chest.
The room’s quiet now. Blessedly quiet.
You take a deep breath, forcing your legs to move, crossing to the dresser where they’d dumped your things they got from there and there. You let the towel drop, pulling on fresh clothes.
But as you tug your shirt down and run a hand through your damp hair, the questions start creeping in.
Will you ever get out of here?
…Maybe.
You want to believe it. That there’s a crack in their plan, a way to slip past their too-quick hands. That somehow, the girls will come for you. That you’ll find your moment and take it. But looking at how they watch you, how they enjoy keeping you close? It’s hard to be sure.
Do the girls miss you?
Yes.
They have to. You’re not just some assistant with a clipboard and a coffee order. You’re the one who kept them safe, who watched their backs when they were too busy saving the world to watch their own. They have to notice you’re gone. Right?
Do the boys actually like you as a person?
Yes.
And that’s the most confusing part. Because it’s not just the teasing, the poking, they see you. Under all the sweet voice, the petty little kicks, the glares and the stubbornness, they see you. And somehow, they like what they see.
Is Romance always trying to get in your pants?
Yes.
But he also respects the game. And maybe, just maybe, he likes more than just what’s under your clothes.
Does Abby really think you’re cute when you fight him off?
Yes.
You see it in his smile, in the way his eyes soften when you kick and squirm and glare up at him.
Is Baby secretly rooting for you?
Absolutely so fucking yes.
He won’t say it. Won’t even crack more than that smirk. But you catch it, sometimes—in the tilt of his head, in the glint of his eye. He enjoys you. Enjoys watching you give them hell.
Is Mystery curious about you in ways he doesn’t understand?
Indeed.
It’s in every glance, every tilt of his head, every quiet lean-in. You’re new, he likes it.
Does Jinu really care?
Yeah.
The only one who treats you normally. The one who talks to you like you’re a person. The one who always seems to step in right before the others push you too far.
Are you actually safe here?
No.
Not really. Not from their games, their teasing, their endless curiosity about what makes you break. Not from the way they make your heart race, in anger or fear or something more dangerous you don’t want to name.
Are you in danger of falling for them, even a little?
…Maybe.
You flop onto the bed, staring at the ceiling, clothes rumpled and hair still damp, wondering how the hell you’re going to survive this. Wondering how you’re going to keep yourself from softening toward them when they look at you like that, when they laugh like that, when they treat you like this.
Will you ever stop hoping for a chance to escape?
No.
Not ever. Not even if they keep making you laugh when you shouldn’t. Not even if they’re the most fun you’ve ever had.
You’re getting out.
Somedays
But god—if they don’t make it hard to want to leave.
You lay there on that stupid, too-nice bed, staring up at the ceiling, the city lights leaking in through the blinds, casting stripes across your skin. And you think—fuck.
Because damn your empathy.
You should hate them. Every single one of them. For snatching you away from your life. For laughing at you when you fight back. For treating you like a kid. You should be plotting their downfall, hating the sound of their voices, the way they look at you, the way they keep you here.
But you don’t. Not really. Not deep down where it matters.
Because it hits you, lying there with your heart still racing and your body still warm from the sauna
They probably don’t know any better anymore.
It’s probably been hundreds of years since they had anything like this. Since they saw their mothers. Since they were boys, real boys, not demons, playing at being human on a stage with bright lights and screaming fans.
When was the last time they got tucked in at night, you wonder. When was the last time somebody made them soup when they were sick?
When was the last time they did human shit?
Jumped on a trampoline, if they ever had done that.
Had a snowball fight.
Built a fort and camped out in it.
Splashed each other in a pool until they were breathless with laughter, not because they were trying to drown each other but just because it was fun.
Ran barefoot through wet grass on a summer night, chasing bugs.
Sat on a rooftop with their best friend, eating about the future like it was some big, beautiful thing waiting for them.
The last time someone baked them a birthday cake and sang to them, even off-key?
God, when was the last time they had that?
You think about Romance, all charm and heat, with that constant flirt in his voice—when was the last time someone kissed him because they loved him, not because they were enchanted by his face?
You think about Abby, always teasing, strong enough to crush you but never does—when was the last time someone hugged him just because?
Baby, with not giving a fuck at anything—when was the last time someone gave him something with no strings attached?
Mystery. Ferocious, curious—when was the last time he felt safe enough to just exist?
Jinu. The only one who looks at you like you’re still a person, like maybe he remembers what it felt like to be one, too—when was the last time someone sat with him in silence, not because they wanted something but just because they liked him?
And you feel that damn softness bloom in your chest, that aching empathy that’s going to get you killed or worse.
Because you don’t blame them. Not really.
They’re lonely.
Lonely in a way you can’t even imagine, in a way that sinks into your bones and makes you hungry for anything real.
You’re not just a hostage, not really—not to them. You’re a spark of humanity in their endless dark, and they don’t want to let go.
And yeah, it’s selfish. It’s cruel, in its way. But can you really hate them for it?
Can you hate them for wanting to keep you close when the world left them behind centuries ago?
You sigh, dragging a hand down your face, trying to shove the thoughts away, trying to remind yourself—they kidnapped you. They’re using you. They’re playing with you because it entertains them.
But still.
You see the way they look at you when they think you’re not paying attention.
You see the way they light up when you kick back, when you glare, when you curse them out, when you fight—because maybe you’re the first thing in forever that’s real to them.
And goddamn it, you understand.
You don’t forgive. Not yet. Maybe not ever. But you understand.
Boys who laugh too hard when you fight them off because they don’t know how else to show they like you.
So yeah.
Fuck your empathy.
Because you see them. And you can’t unsee it.

“We keep meeting like this, doll,” Romance purred lowly, settling into the seat beside you. His tone was quiet—just loud enough for you to hear over the buzz of the fans.
His eyes were fixed on you, head resting in his hand like he had a cocky smirk on his face. You didn’t dare look at him.
“What the hell is your problem?” you hissed under your breath, all while smiling politely and signing a photocard for a fan in front of you.
“We can’t see our favorite plaything?” Abby’s deep voice rolled over your spine like thunder. He dropped into the chair on your other side, arm lazily slung behind your seat.
“You two are insufferable,” you whispered, keeping your smile bright for the fan across the table.
Your group, Huntrix, had been blindsided by the news that the Saja Boys were joining your fan meet.
A stunt pulled by Jinu.
Romance leaned closer, brushing your thigh under the table. “You look so pretty when you’re pretending to behave.”
“Stop touching me,” you hissed, cheeks burning.
Abby chuckled darkly. “Bet you’re already wet.
“You like playing innocent in public, don’t you?” You ignored them, trying to focus on fans.
But every time you shifted in your seat, Romance’s hand followed, fingers teasing the inside of your thigh through your skirt.
Abby whispered filth in your ear between greetings. “Wonder if the fans would still love you if they saw how you beg for us backstage.”
Romance didn’t say much—just watched you, slow smile tugging at his lips every time your breath caught.
You made it through the event on shaky legs. And the second you were separated from your members backstage, it happened.
You were grabbing a water bottle in the dark storage hallway when two shadows appeared behind you—too tall, too familiar.
“Didn’t think we’d let you run off that easy,” Romance murmured, pressing a kiss behind your ear.
Abby stepped in front of you, trapping you between them. “We waited all fucking day, baby.”
You opened your mouth to speak, but Abby had you bent over a crate in seconds, skirt flipped up, panties tugged to the side.
“Still so fucking tight,” Abby growled, spreading you open. “This ass is mine.”
Romance unzipped his pants, pulling his cock free—already hard, flushed, and leaking. “Open up, sweetheart.”
You dropped to your elbows, mouth wide as he guided you down onto him, moaning around the stretch as Abby pushed into your back entrance with a rough grunt.
“Fucking hell,” Abby hissed, slamming into you. “She’s squeezing the hell outta me.”
Romance cradled your cheek with one hand while you sucked him, eyes soft. “Good girl… take both of us like you always do.”
You were barely breathing, spit running down your chin, your walls fluttering around Abby as he pounded you from behind.
Abby slapped your ass hard, growling, “You like being used like this? Dirty little slut.”
You moaned, unable to speak, mouth stuffed full of Romance’s cock.
Romance stroked your hair gently. “You’re doing so good for us, baby.
So pretty with your mouth full.” You gagged slightly as Romance bucked into your mouth, and Abby held your hips tighter, drilling into your ass like he wanted to break you.
Then your phone buzzed in your bra.
You froze.
Abby paused. “Who the fuck is calling her?”
Romance pulled out, eyes flicking to your chest.
“Check.” You dug it out with trembling hands. It was Rumi. Your leader.
“Answer it,” Abby ordered, voice low and sharp.
“Put it on speaker.”
“What—are you crazy?” you whispered. “I said answer it,” Abby growled, slamming his hips forward again.
“Fuck! Okay—Okay I’ll do it” You moaned loudly with a cry, hitting answer. “H-Hi Rumi.”
Romance sat on a nearby crate, cock resting against your palm. “Stroke it, baby,” he whispered. “Be good while you talk.”
Rumi’s voice echoed from the phone. “Where are you? Everyone’s waiting.” You started stroking Romacr slowly, hand slick with spit.
“S-sorry—I needed a break. I’ll be right there.” Abby leaned over your back.
“You lie so well with my cock buried in your ass.” Romance bit his lip, eyes on your mouth.
“Faster, sweetheart. I wanna cum all over your face the second she hangs up.”
Rumi sighed. “Just hurry. We have an interview in ten.”
“Okay,” you choked, fingers tightening around Romance’s cock as he twitched in your palm.
Romance stroked himself twice and came across your lips and tongue, groaning, “That’s my girl…”
Behind you, Abby wasn’t done. “Now that’s over, I’m going to really fuck you.”
He yanked you, back against him, pounding harder, your moans bouncing off the walls.
Romance knelt beside you, licking into your mouth between gasps. “So good for us, always.”
You came with a scream, body shaking, stuffed and stretched and ruined by both of them.
And as you lay boneless between them, Abby tucked himself away and growled,
“Now go fix your hair. We’ll see you tonight for round two.”
Should I write a part 2

♥ Abby / Abs SFW and NSFW headcanons
A/n: I have Kpop demon hunters brainrot and I just needed to write something. Still not 100% sure how to write the Saja boys, so I decided to start with the one where I have a bit more of a grasp of how I would like his character to be. Headcanons are split into SFW and NSFW — SFW is first, then NSFW is labeled below, Hope you guys enjoy <3
He knows he’s hot. Abby doesn’t just think people are looking, he knows it. Shirt slightly unbuttoned, sweeping his hair effortlessly out of his face, always posing a little when he walks past reflective surfaces.
But when you compliment him? He still gets a tiny bit bashful, like “Yeah? You like this look?” with a smug little grin and ears just slightly pink.
Flirts with you like it’s just in his blood. Constantly teasing you but like in a playful way. “You just gonna keep staring at me, or are you gonna kiss me already?”
He makes you laugh and swoon the worst combo because now you’re blushing and giggling at the same time.
Surprisingly domestic. He likes doing “normal” couple things like grocery shopping together, picking out snacks for movie night, and agruing with you (lightheartitly obviously) about which love interest in a movie is the better one
So clingy but in the most endearing way.
You try to get up to grab something, and he just tugs you back into his lap. “Nope. You live here now.” You roll your eyes, but he’s warm and you almost always end up staying.
Always touching you. He has zero sense of personal space when it comes to you, hand holding when walking, arm around your shoulders, hand on your thigh while watching TV.
If you’re near, he’s touching. Period.
Will literally hype you up in public. You show up to an event or just walk into a room looking cute, and he’s so loud about it. “Damn, who let you out looking like that?” wolf whistle fully knowing people are watching.
He’s proud, and he wants everyone to know he’s yours and you're his.
Sleepy snuggler. Once he’s horizontal, he’s immediately draping himself over you like a weighted blanket.
“You’re so warm,” he mumbles, face buried in your neck. He always falls asleep faster when you're there says your presence is “soothing for him”
Cooks only one thing well but insists on making it constantly. It’s something like spicy ramen or grilled cheese and he’ll go, “Trust me, I’m a chef.” Even if it tastes bad how could you ever say no to him.
NSFW
Size kink? Oh absolutely.
Abby is so smug about how easily he can pick you up, manhandle you, carry you around like it’s nothing. He’ll tease you about it constantly “Look at you, so small and squishy. I could ruin you, y'know.
“Is this okay?” always. He may be cocky, but he never forgets to check in. And somehow hearing “You good, babe?” in his deep, slightly growly voice while he’s already got you breathless? Instant fluster.
Loves when you take control. Acts like he’s the one in charge but goes feral when you push him down and ride him instead.
He’ll grip your hips, panting, all “You’re killin’ me, sweetheart,” while secretly loving every second of it.
Lowkey possessive, but in a sexy way. Marks you up just enough to be visible, loves when you wear his beanie or show up to a concert wearing his oversized hoodie. “You’re mine. Let everyone see.”
Aftercare king. No matter how hot things get, he’s doting af afterward. Carries you to the bath, lets you wear one of his tank tops (he’s obsessed seeing you like this), and spoons you so close like he’s afraid you’ll disappear.
Constantly murmurs stuff like “You’re everything to me, y'know that?” into your skin while tracing little circles on your back.

Abby Headcanons!
Kpop demon hunters, n$fw/suggestive, so mdni! mostly gender neutral but a few fem reader pieces here and there
a/n: i am such a freak for abby this man has me so inspired i need him kashkjfh... let's pretend that he wouldn't get like completely canceled for some of the more... public aspects of this
possessive man. if you go out in public together he ALWAYSSSS keeps a broad hand on your lower back. sometimes he'll stand behind you and hold you against him with two hands on your hips.
he's such a tease too. i mean we see how he acts with his abs for his fans but if you two are involved?? he does not hold back. will walk around the apartment shirtless constantly, band of his boxers peeking from his sweats. will stretch and manspread and lay back on things like crazy because he knows how his v-line draws your eyes to his bulge
he's also the type to keep a towel on for a little while after his shower, a smaller one laid across his head or around his neck. desperately wants you to notice the water dripping down him and catch you staring. will for sure tease you about it if he does.
touchy touchy touchy touchy man. will stand with his arm propped on your shoulder, put his legs on your lap on the couch, pull you into his lap, lay on your shoulder and groan about how bored he is, wrap a hand around your waist to pull you wherever he wants to go, and if you're shorter than him he'll put his chin on your head in conversations with others, hugging you from behind. he just loves the contact and having something to lean on
he drives you CRAZYYY how he looks at you, especially from between your legs. bro has a lethal stare and loves how you squirm under his gaze. he'll hold your hips close to his face with a firm grip, knowing you aren't intending to wriggle away from him
i just know he's such a smooth talker. he'd curl long fingers inside of you while flirting as if he hasn't already gotten you into his bed
loves shower sex. i can't explain why but i just know this is the truth
i feel like he would bite you occasionally when he cums. definitely is into marking aside from that, though. he likes leaving hickeys on you, but LOVESSSS when you give him hickeys. would for sure wear an almost completely unbuttoned top the next day to show off your scratches on his chest and the bruises littered across his neck
he's so cocky. feeds on the questions and looks he gets from the other saja boys when they see your artwork. he's a secret exhibitionist... honestly, he might not even realize it himself.
probably steals panties let's be honest... i just know he has a crazy sex drive and fs takes care of it himself pretty often. he likes to surprise you with it sometimes, shamelessly leaving his cum in them on top of your laundry hamper.
finally, he's more obsessed with you then he is with himself lol. he knows he looks good but he also knows he'll never look better than when you're standing next to him. he's so whipped and so horny for you.

ABBY, JINU.
who cums the most?
ABBY, ROMANCE, JINU, MYSTERY, BABY.
teases the most.
all of them. | JINU, ABBY, ROMANCE, BABY, MYSTERY.

"mine,"
JINU's teeth sink into your skin. he can smell your arousal, smell that cunt. he's practically salivating, tongue nursing the harsh bites he'd bestow on your soft skin. patterned dexterity aids in wrapping your legs around his waist as he sheathes into you for the nth time tonight.
"only i can see you like this. you're so pretty. my pretty human,"
── ⟢ ・⸝⸝ ──
a thick bicep locks around your neck, squishing your cheeks in the process. your whimpers are more ragged, breathy, while ABBY's rutting into you from behind; hips slamming into you harshly again and again and again. "i love your fucking cunt. look at you, slutty girl. all you've done is—," his words are punctuated by a savage, punishing slam, and ABBY keeps himself sheathed, still.
"—cream all over my dick. are you sure you won't pass out— ♡ ?"
── ⟢ ・⸝⸝ ──
moans are too audible in your room, alongside loud, obscene squelching that were none other than MYSTERY's fingers pumping in and out of soaked pussy. trembles visibly run through your frail, human body as he curves his fingers up, against that spot. you were so close. so, so close, but he slides his fingers too quickly, and your hips are chasing the air.
"ah-ah-ah. not yet, my pretty slut."
── ⟢ ・⸝⸝ ──
fingers card through his soft locks, legs closing in on his head as his tongue flicks against your clit. the sting doesn't seem to bother ROMANCE, though, only digging into his favourite meal as he runs a long stripe of his tongue from your creamy slit up to your pillowy mons. "you taste so good, my love," he whispered, placing kisses on it.
"i don't wanna stop . . i love you, love tasting you . . "
── ⟢ ・⸝⸝ ──
"n, no, do—!"
the bed creaks under your weight as you squirmed, legs kicking 'n back arching as BABY pinched your sensitive clit. "i told you not to cum. who let you cum, sweetheart? you're so cute, it's pathetic." smack! oh, fuck, the way your cunt twitches against the smack of his palm. fuck . . "s, sorry, 'm sorry . . " you hiccuped, looking at him with red, teary eyes. there was an attempt to close your legs, but a firm hand ensnares your knee; a warning guised in a thumb rubbing your puffy clit.
"i don't think so."
end,

So many of the Daydream Hour re-uploads I see on tumblr are like. Character interactions and female characters in cute outfits. And I am not complaining, but I have YET to see the best character interaction in the books on this site: Laios and this random German Shepherd!!!!!!

You were just standing there next to him, minding your own business and clinging to his arm while he tries to pick between two different brands of instant ramen like it was a life-or-death decision—when suddenly, they appeared.
A small group of girls, giggling too loudly with each other and having absolutely no shame as if they weren’t in a public space. They stepped way too close and crowded Choso, brushing his arm, and leaning into his space.
“Hey, you’re really tall—do you model?”
“Your eyelashes are so long, that’s not fair!”
“Aww, Is that your little sister?” one of them snorted as she looked you up and down, not even bothering to lower her voice.
Choso blinked confusedly, lips parting slightly but no words came out, totally frozen in place. He wasn’t used to this. Flirting? With strangers? In public? His brain short-circuited. He clutched the ramen in his hand like it might save him.
You just raised your eyebrows, trying not to laugh at his reaction. You could feel the heat and nervousness radiating off of him—your poor shy boyfriend, looking like a deer caught in headlights.
Then he just snapped.
His hand suddenly slid around your jaw and grabbed it—squishing your cheeks together and tilting your face up to meet his and before you could even gasp, his mouth was on yours.
It wasn’t a soft kiss or a polite peck.
No, this was messy and heated—teeth clashing together, spit and tongues tangling, his lips moving desperately and hungrily against yours while his other big hand found your waist and yanked you flushed against him like he was staking a claim.
You squeaked into his mouth with wide eyes, completely shocked—your fingers gripping his shirt for balance because fuck he was holding you so tightly.
One of the girls stammered something like “oh!” and another let out a nervous laugh, but Choso didn’t stop. He kissed you like he forgot where you were, like he didn’t care that you were standing in the middle of the aisle right between chips and cup noodles with wide-eyed strangers watching.
When he finally broke the kiss, your lips were shiny, your eyes dazed and your breath came out in tiny pants.
He turned to the girls—flushed pink and slightly panting with a hardened cock and muttered, “She’s my girlfriend”.
Silence.
Then, with the confidence of a man who just devoured his girl in front of God and everyone else, he decided to grab both of the ramen packs he was having problems deciding from and mumbled, “Let’s go, baby,” tugging you away with a death grip on your hand.
(You didn’t stop smiling the entire walk to the register).

Hello lovely demon slayer community! I am looking for a book, written in words (not a manga). All I remember is I think Tengen was one of the central characters, it’s a modern AU in the academy.
There are like spirit ghosts but only some people can see them, like Rengoku can’t, and I think it’s because he’s implied to be a little dense. I think it’s at least semi official, as it has a physical text copy. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
Thank you so much, I’ve been trying to find it forever!

big girls don’t cry
𓍯𓂃 self aware robot! caleb x female reader
(wc: 9.5k) ✦ summary: after your brother passes, consumed by grief, you take to the internet to order a synthetic version of him. afterward, it’s impossible to throw him out. (or: alternatively titled the trojan horse)
✦ content robot! caleb, past engineer! caleb, au where EVER deals in robotics, non-evol au, 18+ nsfw/smut, mildly dubious consent, angst, grief, mental instability, bad coping mechanisms, robot pseudocest?? robot sex, mind games, moral grayness all around, dark/yandere undertones; this fic can have multiple interpretations, pregnancy
✦ sidenote have yall ever seen that episode of black mirror? ‘be right back’? basically this: the girl’s boyfriend dies so she orders an incredibly realistic, intelligent robot to replace him. they’re identical in personality and appearance, and yet… 👀 ANYWAYS ( ⸍ɞ̴̶̷ ·̫ ɞ̴̶̷⸌ ) i have a set plot for this in my head, but i left it a lil vague so ur allowed to think of it in ur own way 🤎 if u wanna know the ‘canon’ tho.. u can absolutely ask me. the lore is so deep its traumatizing :,) anyways hope u enjoy <3 ty for 1k btw!! take this as a lil celebration treat 🥳 it took so much out of me but i think i really vibe with it heheh
He’s perfect. Nigh on.
For the first few days since his arrival, since hauling him off the foot of your porch and into your living room to unpack him- heart tickering in your chest all the while, trepidatious- you’ve just stared. Reached out your hands to hover, ghosting over the broad blade of his shoulder, his chapped lips, the slight jut of his cheekbone.
His hands, as big and weathered as you remember them (but gentle, always gentle), hang limply by his sides.
You don’t dare slip your smaller ones in them.
All of the theatrics, yet you don’t press his- its- button, either.
No, you don’t even touch it after the initial unpacking, wrenching your fingers away as soon as they get too close. As soon as they get too tempted by hope and the wish that this hunk of metal was more than just a replica of your late brother. Half of you thinks it might burn if you get too comfortable; and you won’t get comfortable— underneath the solidified layers of grief and- you have trouble saying it aloud, but bitterness- there’s still just enough common sense to keep you from taking the leap. The leap from mourning to insanity.
It’s hollow. You know that much. A nothingness enwrapped in a steely chassis full of wiring and code too technological for you to understand, all covered by a synthetic skin suit as the pretty bow on top.
And you know- what with your emotional state- that if you could peer inside, strip it down to the framework and just… take a moment to look, that you’d vomit. It’d be too much to bear, being forced to reconcile with the fact that he really is gone— and in response to it all, you’ve blown your savings on an eerily-realistic, glorified doll of him with wires for veins.
You’re trembling when you stiffly prop him against the far wall, limiting contact as much as possible, and step away, keeping your eyes on him all the while. It. Not him. Not Caleb- that’s not your fucking brother, just a disgusting, soulless fascimile of him—
But as you stand back on your feet (with the coffee table in between, just in case) to get a good look at him, like a real, proper look, your breath is taken.
The thing: He’s not just a passable carbon copy, you realize. Admittedly, he’s…
Identical.
(He’s Caleb.)
All the oxygen gusts out of you in a breeze.
You lift a shaking hand over your open mouth and choke as silent tears spill from your lashline, blurring your eyes on the way down. Wetting your knuckles as they shake wildly.
You’re crying. Of course you’re crying. This is- you can’t do this. You just can’t.
Racing upstairs, retreating to your bedroom to slam the door as if the devil himself was on your tail, only then do you drop your hand and fully sob.
It’s pitiful, really. Wretched noises that resonate from deep in your throat, your spirit wrecked as you curl up on the floor and make yourself into a ball.
Darkness comes outside, the space around you muting itself in grey colors. The puddle beneath your cheek is moonlit. You sniffle and relocate, but you don’t even bother to tuck the not-Caleb robot in its special container, no- you just settle beneath your blankets and pray it’s all a bad dream you’ll awake from come tomorrow.
Tomorrow: you’ll send him off. Return him.
You don’t care how much money it costs- for all you care, it’s paltry, it’s replaceable. And it is replaceable, that’s the bleak truth: that android stood motionless by your couch, despite having a face so familiar it’s painful, has no emotional value whatsoever. There’s no depth to it. No substance.
A skeleton built by rods. Artificial flesh modeled around thin, colorful cables and circuit boards.
I mean- he’s no better than the stapler on your desk, or the toaster on your kitchen counter. Better yet, a crumb on the floor.
A nothingness, you think again. Prettily encased in smooth, sun-speckled skin and that cottony loungewear (that still retains his smell) you could hardly part with when the online form requested his attire.
He’s perfect, nigh on, you’ll give the company who forged him that much credit, because they sure followed his pictures to a T. It looks just like him; so much so you couldn’t even bear to look at him for more than ten minutes before bolting, the emotional response so violent.
But the problem is that he’s not real. He’s not your Caleb.
✦
It’s hard to throw him away when he looks like that. When he bears the likeness of your late, beloved older brother.
Yes, you want to stuff him back in his box and return to sender, but when it comes to courage, you lack the backbone necessary to carry out your decisions.
You tiptoe down the stairs to see him again and sputter.
He’s too real, you decide in a heartbeat. Too real.
Shutting your eyes as tears begin to pour anew, lunging forward with blind intent to cache him away in the elaborate box he came in, you get to work. And you get to work quickly. You can only bear to look at it- that heartless caricature of your gege- for so long until you feel something in you, your last fragile piece, begin to fracture.
After the explosion, all you had left of him were the memories. Not an explanation, not a goodbye, not even a body. What remained of the boy you were fostered with was ash and a puerile, yet no less beloved locket with its edges burnt copper.
Now, you have something exponentially more physical and intact, unsullied by the reality of what was.
So for a moment, yes- sue you and your heart for hesitating- but it’s a hard task to seal him away.
Agonizing, really.
His arms are stiff by his sides but you feel the skin; the lump of muscle in his forearm, the bump of his elbow. The only thing that keeps you from giving into the puffed-up illusion of his being real and alive is the coolness beneath your fingertips. The unnatural, icy feel to his otherwise mortal skin that reminds in a voice, condescending like all things out of reach, see? that’s not Caleb. And you’re insulting him by thinking that it could be.
You’re halfway done nudging him towards the box (careful, despite your frenzied, fluttering heart; afraid to damage his likeness) when you trip over your own feet navigating the narrow space between your table and the couch.
It’s unthinking, the way you grab him- arms flying out to steady yourself with his broad shoulders.
In all your scrambling- something clicks. Gives under your fingerpad.
A button.
With mute horror, you watch his eyes light.
…And you can see it too, you know, registering in his gaze as it settles over you and takes you in— a blip of mirth that quickly warps into worry at the look you give him. You must appear no different than a deer in headlights.
For several seconds, you simply stand there, your palms clamming up where they dig into his shoulders, and gawk as Caleb— not-Caleb’s— expression turns to one ready to comfort.
Familiar, painfully.
The stiff hands at his side are spurred into motion, lifting to cradle your cheek while the other helps ground you by the small of your back.
“Meimei?”
No, no- don’t say that, don’t say that, internally, you have to shoehorn down all your grief as it bubbles up, and harden your face to keep from crying all over again.
…Although it’s more or less obvious you had been. The puffy eyes rimmed in red, the certain wisp of defeat to your brow and the exhaustion written all over you is clear as day. It leaves nothing to ponder.
He sounds disturbed by it all, the sadness about you that lies thick as a coating of paint. Commiserative to a fault. Lassoing you to his firm chest as he burrows your head below the dip of his chin.
He goes, “What’s wrong?” Then, “It’s okay, I’m here. I got you. Just let it all out.”
And the world around you staggers to a fall.
✦
It was very difficult to get rid of him as he stood still; when you could convince yourself he was just a startlingly realistic statue.
It’s all but impossible when he begins to move, and speak, and smile at you.
You don’t get close enough to press his button. You’re not quite strong enough to apply the distance you probably should, though, so when he takes a step forward, you take one back- but you never run.
It’s a weird limbo you’re caught in. Do you leap into his arms? Do you… Do you toss him out the door, after all? Leave him to the elements to chip away at his body; the rain to erode his fleshy outer shell?
But no. How could you do that? He-
He fucking looks like Caleb. It feels more sinful to rid yourself of him, now that he’s… on, than to indulge a little bit in the idea that he’s still alive and breathing.
If Caleb was still alive, you wonder silently one morning with no small amount of hurt, would he hate you? For whatever the hell it is you’re doing now?
You can’t even blame Gideon, not really. Without his persistent messages, and all the links he sent you of articles revolving androids and how they can help the user cope with grief, you’d have been none the wiser to the concept, sure- but at the end of the day, you made the choice to get one.
A chunk of your savings and an unprompted, fat check from Caleb’s best buddy— you decided to throw that at some futuristic company (well, not ‘some’: both men worked there- albeit they always kept their work very hush (you did catch whispers of a promotion, though, before the accident)) and one of the many services they provide.
Gideon, over the course of some months, was all but pointing you at their website, promising it would help. He’d be there to clear any confusion, in any case; hey, how neat did a walkthrough of the site from a bonafide EVER engineer sound?: Just one of his probes.
It was only two weeks back, however, when he paid an unsolicited house call, wordlessly wrapping you into his broad chest, that you caved to them.
You think about the scene while you sit at the counter and sip from your mug.
Your home smells richly of coffee, just brewed, and bacon as it sizzles. Eyeing not-Caleb with a pang of unease— not fully able to snuff out that feeling of uncanniness even as some days pass peacefully— you offer a small smile when he glances up at you.
Beaming just as he was the day before. Beaming like nothing is terribly wrong.
(To be clear, something is.)
You… can’t help but feel like you’re being monitored when he stares.
Yes, it’s a silly fear, you know that. The company your late brother worked for wasn’t exactly open with all the scientific grounds they made breakthroughs on, but he always promised that their means were lawful. Caleb wasn’t one for lies- so your doubts were soothed. So as hush-hush as EVER is sometimes, you’re fairly confident they wouldn’t ship out mass batches of faulty or otherwise rigged products.
Anyway- you suppose the weird intensity in its eyes isn’t all that off-putting when you take into account the very real personality it was formulated from.
When the pancakes (your favorite: banana chocolate chip; information he apparently already knew) turn an appetizing shade of gold, he shimmies them off the pan with a spatula and onto a plate.
That plate- loaded tastefully with bacon, a scoop of rice, and eggs with a ketchup smile painted over its face- slides before you. But though your belly growls, you don’t eat. Not right away. Wherever the culinary arts are concerned, your older brother has always excelled. Growing up, maybe you even exploited him a little for it- but he never did anything he didn’t want to; sometimes it even seemed like Caleb enjoyed sticking his neck out for you.
He pats his hands over his too-small apron (not that he minds it), frowning.
“What’s wrong, Pipsqueak? Does… Does the food look alright? I haven’t made somethin’ for you in a while, huh…?”
Oh no, the food looks fine.
It’s just that you’re the only one eating it.
And maybe it’d be better to keep that thought to yourself: part of you is just over the moon to have him standing in your kitchen with you after months apart— but it doesn’t matter that you keep your mouth shut, because Caleb reads your mind anyway.
He’s at your side in a blink, hushing away the tears that bead at your eyes out of nowhere.
“Hey, hey… No cryin’, okay? I’m just not hungry this morning, Meimei- but that doesn’t mean I won’t sit with you and talk while you eat. C’mon,” he squeezes your hand where it lies on the counter, smiling lightly.
It takes everything in you not to flinch away from the touch.
“Wouldn’t want your breakfast goin’ cold now, would we?” Pulling out the barstool beside you, he sits.
You don’t ask him to, but Caleb picks up your fork and embodies one of the several memories you have of him spoonfeeding you as a child.
“I can feed you. Just like the good ol’ times. Here, you gotta open your mouth first,” His smile strengthens when your lips, as if by habit, part. Your lashes flutter shut when that first bite touches your tongue- syrupy hotcakes and fluffy scrambled eggs- and for that you’re glad because you don’t have to see the way he marvels at you as you eat.
It’s not good for your heart.
“So? What does Pipsqueak the number one food critic have to say about my dish?” He shines, “Does it taste as good as it looks?” You can’t help the breathless laugh that escapes- the scene too nostalgic to simply idle away with indifference. You wear all your emotions on your face, anyway; you’re not fooling anybody, least of all Caleb.
“Even better,” you murmur with the barest of smiles. He presses another spoonful to your lips and you giggle.
Violet hues glitter with delight. You’ve said practically nothing to him this whole time, and he’s been patient- weirdly patient, almost- but the joy in his gaze is palpable now.
Sometimes, though, you can almost swear you see something in his gaze shift. Tuning itself like a lens. He blinks and it disappears.
“…But I will say your presentation could use some work. It’s a 7 out of 10.”
Caleb, still holding the utensil out, uses his other hand to prop his chin up. He smiles fondly as he regards you. As you’ve gotten older, it’s like every time you see the brunet, he looks at you like he’s taking you in for the first time all over again.
“Yeah?” He encourages. “Enlighten me, oh Pipsqueak- what must I do to earn those three extra points?”
“The ketchup smiley face was all lopsided,” you explain in a quiet voice, having a hard time fully immersing in this lie unraveling before you; beautiful as it is. As much as you might ache to.
This isn’t a good idea. You know that.
Still…
Maybe… maybe just a couple of conversations with him can’t be too bad, right? I mean, it’s only a fraction of what Gideon was expecting of you (lounging around together to chat, game nights, and even public outings), but to him, it’d be a start. For you, though, it’s a stretch. An exception.
You should limit interaction with not-Caleb.
You know this, and yet—
Glancing back to him, you try and fail to hide a coy smile with a napkin. “Next time, keep a steady hand, and you’ll be a perfect chef in no time. Maybe not as good as me, but, y’know…”
He chuckles, brows lifting. “Oh yeah? Then expect surgical precision from me tomorrow morning. Chef Caleb won’t let you down again!”
An intense sadness slips through the momentary happiness you were allowed. It nags at your chest.
You blink rapidly, giving a feeble, light sound before looking away.
You’ve never let me down, Gege, you don’t say, taking your fork from the clasp of his big hand (much to his dismay) to prod at your plate.
It was me who failed you.
✦
Not-Caleb looks like Caleb, yes.
He acts like him, too.
You spend the span of the next few weeks trying to scrutinize him; hours spent on the couch, his hand in yours while you grill him. You treat him like a bug under a microscope. Prodding for answers to questions you’re sure his programming must miss- interrogations built on memories so old they’re near ancient. Just blurry wisps in your mind.
Not-Caleb remembers some better than you.
Puts you to shame with his mechanical replies detailing scenarios you’re missing fragments of.
What’s Caleb’s favorite fruit?
I like apples, Pipsqueak.
And what’s my favorite food he’d make for me?
Easy-peasy. You still love those boneless chicken wings, don’t you? Although, that braised pork I make for you comes as a close second, doesn’t it?
Am I your real sister?
And you’d never ask the real Caleb such a thing. You’re only doing it now because it’s one of the most personal things you could possibly make a query of. His response would be very telling.
Life before you met him all those years ago is no more than a fuzzy glimpse, and you never minded all that much: so long as you had Caleb, nothing else, nothing before, mattered. All throughout your childhood, people didn’t know the difference anyway.
Far as they knew, you were family.
Which… isn’t wrong, per se— but it’s not biological. ‘Real.’
You, Caleb, and Gran were obviously aware of that. To you it was always a beautiful thing: a tale of rebirth, in a way, or a second chance, as a young girl found a new place to call home with a warm guardian and a brotherly figure. They’d stabilize her and bring warmth to an otherwise cold beginning.
Caleb was never spoken for on that front.
You… didn’t see eye to eye on all things. Oh, that much is true.
Sometimes you were convinced that he wanted nothing to do with the assumption that you were his little sister (albeit, you were never sure why). At others, it was like he was furious you were only bound to him in name and not blood. He saw it as an attack on your close bond.
…But Not-Caleb surely doesn’t know all his nuances. Not like you came to.
So you’re expecting a pause. A minor glitch or even a malfunction as the robot scours his database.
Got him, you almost think to yourself— then swiftly take it back.
The face of the android sat at your side falls, much to your surprise, into a small frown.
And the truth must be coded deep in the bulwarks of not-Caleb’s artificial brain: your and Caleb’s respective origins. The answer is no. No, you’re not his real sister.
…But your real Gege would lie and say yes, absolutely you are—
“‘Course you are,” Not-Caleb goes. And he does it with as much passion behind it as you’d expect.
You’re startled into silence.
He scoots impossibly closer and loops an arm over your shoulder, tucking your head to his jaw. Seamlessly, he pecks your hairline, saying, “You’re my sweet little Meimei. You’re priceless to me. Now no more pickin’ at me, okay?” He suggests in a light tone, rubbing your shoulder. “You’ve been questioning me all evening- look, it even got dark out. Let’s get you to bed-“
“I- I didn’t say I was tired-“
“You didn’t have to. I could tell you were startin’ to get sleepy, Pipsqueak,” he looks down at you and smiles- a reassuring, yet no less playful smile- and for one moment you cant breathe because fuck it’s him. It’s really, really him. “Your drooping eyes were a dead giveaway. Hm... I guess that big dinner we had put you in a food coma, huh?” He chuckles.
We. Funny, that. You recall the feast being one-sided.
Nonetheless.
Without prompting, he sweeps you off the couch and walks you up the wooden stairway. The old steps creak underfoot. He does it all effortlessly, though, arms as strong and capable as you remember.
You loop your slimmer ones around his neck.
With great hesitance, you lend a part of yourself to this illusion.
This beautiful, near unbelievable, oh-so fragile illusion that Caleb is not dead.
When you reach your bedroom, you don’t send him off to the guest room like all the nights before. No, when he carefully sets you down, you watch him, motionlessly, as he tucks you in and plants a chaste kiss to your forehead. When he turns to go- “don’t let the bed bugs bite”- you snatch his hand, half terrified you’ll blink and he’ll be gone, and flash him a look that silently pleads.
Stay.
The brunet’s lashes flutter, brushing over his cheekbones where the lamplight makes them shine.
He opens his mouth.
Pauses, then closes it.
“Stay. Please, Gege,” you breathe, on the cusp of shattering all over again. It’s become more manageable over recent days, this unresolved cluster of emotion inside you, but it’s times like these that make you feel blindsided by it.
You innocently add, “Like when we were kids.”
Oh, you’d go back to then if you could.
His long fingers, loose in your hold, flip to swallow up your hand. He stoops over to turn off the light.
His voice shakes ever so slightly, “Okay.”
Then, he clambers into bed with you and reminds you of just how small it is, how much he does not belong, but you’ve never felt more at home when he pulls you to his chest and- dutifully ignoring the quiet beneath your ear, the absence of a pulse- you cling to him.
Maybe it’d be a little weird, the proximity, what with your grown age and the fact that you were no longer children cuddling during thunderstorms…
It’s not like you’re hanging off him like he’s your lifeline for any nefarious reason, though- and it’s not like he can hold any judgment anyway. He’s… He’s not really Caleb. He’s not even a person. Just a sentient robot that resembles him to a shocking degree and soothes that ache in your chest- just by a smidge.
…And yet when he looks at you, suddenly, tilting your jaw up so he can admire what he sees in the darkness- your stunned expression lit faintly by the moon- it’s like he’s reading this in his own way.
His interpretation? you realize in a shaking breath?
He’s no longer holding his little sister, but a woman.
It’s in his eyes, rippling as he exhales deeply (all artificial, albeit you don’t dwell on that for long) and thumbs over your lip.
A boyish kind of wonder lifts his brow as he stares, cheeks slightly flushed.
Your heart bangs in your chest. Like gunshots punctuating the silence. It grows to be unbearable. This is weird, and wrong- the way he’s looking at you. But you quickly chalk it up to a malfunction.
It’s all a fluke, technology fucking up in a way that reminds you of humanity’s shortcomings and how far they can only go.
Finally, you’ve found the fault in its design. The place where Caleb and not-Caleb differ.
You know your beloved older brother like the back of your own hand, so when his eyes flutter (flash, almost) and he lurches forward to clumsily press his lips to yours— you label the action for what it really is.
An inaccuracy.
Perhaps, you think as you close your bleared eyes and let him, the only. Because the rest of his program is perfect. Infallible.
The scene unfurling is foreign- his big hands cupping your cheeks as he kisses you like his life depends on it- but as he shifts you beneath him and hovers atop, that signature softness remains. Really, as his fingertips reach for your shorts—
(A blip of something mechanical in its fiery gaze, almost as if it’s trying to rectify itself; the shortest of pauses—)
It’s all that grounds you.
“Caleb,” you moan, or cry. You don’t know. Just that when he helps you out of your panties to go down on you, digits delving inside your tight hole after he wets it with his tongue, your heart sings for him.
You don’t push him away. No, even as the humanoid sullies your late brother’s image with all his sinful hungering, you can’t break yourself free. Never find it in you to.
Because it doesn’t matter what he treats you as. You realize belatedly, with no small amount of horror, that you don’t even care how many flaws Not-Caleb has. He could have a million for all you care, you’re already too far gone- writhing underneath him as he holds your legs open and feasts- to pretend you have any right to feel offended.
And if the real Caleb was here, he’d hate you: an echo in your skull, sneering. He should, but-
“There, Meimei, ngh…” a hot tongue (no longer as cold as he was in stasis) laves along your folds. Mauve eyes look up to you with reverence, glittering in the dark.
“Just like that. Moan, say my name- I’ve been waiting for this for so long…”
You wear ignorance like a blindfold. Shutting your eyes and ears.
A fluke. His hardware stalling.
His hair woven in your fingers feels like velvet. Soft, silky; hanging over his brow as he eats you out- skillfully, might you add. Albeit his passion wins out by just a touch against his expertise, clumsily plunging his two middle fingers into your pussy.
“You taste so good, so sweet- mmph- I’ll take care of you, okay?” He mumbles in between lewd squelches.
In both physical and moral terms, there is not one thing about this that isn’t filthy.
Y-You know that, but…
“Don’t worry. I’ll- ah- I’ll make sure you feel real nice. I’ll make you come as many times as you want. I’ve been… dreamin’ of this for years now… I won’t mess this up, okay? I’ll do whatever it takes until you’re shaking.”
-but this is all you have left of him.
Hazily, you glance down to him, cheeks aflame, and barely succeed in asking, “C-Caleb- h-how are you even gonna-? You-“ you choke on the words you need to say. With a mite of dry humor, you think right then that you’re short-circuiting just as bad as him (because he is).
“Are you capable of it?”
Of fucking you? Of pinning you down and throwing your ankles over his shoulders to better plow you into your creaking, old mattress?
His brow twitches slightly. Voice ragged, he makes an agreeable sound, pressing a kiss to your clit so adoring it’s almost funny when his finger bends sensually inside you. “Are you doubting my abilities, Meimei? I’ll have you know I’ve been practicing this moment in my head for—“
No. You slam your eyes shut and drown it all out.
His words become a white noise. No different than the steady whir of the air conditioning as a cool breeze gusts beneath your door, cooling your forehead where it beads with sweat.
A- A glitch, you quietly decide. Even long after he’s made you cum thrice (twice on his fingers and tongue, once on his thick, flushed cock), you hold staunch to that.
It’s all just a fluke.
✦
When the sun rises, you wake with a start to a phone ringing- yours- and swallow a lump of unease at the figure lying beside you (your Gege, a voice in your head reminds: you silence it).
Prying off the solid arm around your waist to gingerly exit the room- still half-naked- you piously ignore the cum caked to the inside of your thighs. Yours, it must be. You don’t focus on the confusion, either, the ask of just how the hell last night was possible and why you let your emotions get ahold of you.
(Because you love him. And maybe, just maybe- in your own weird, admittedly morally-grey way- you can cobble together a sense of normalcy with him. At least just for a little bit...)
As you head to the living room downstairs, you tap your phone and lift it to your ear.
“G-Gran,” you say as greeting, smoothing your hair back, still quite ruffled over… recent events. Ruffled and ashamed.
Very.
But- while he looks like Caleb, he’s not in reality. That… malfunction last night is a blatant proof of that. You only got on your back and let him have his way with you because you’ve missed his touch so much that you’d quite literally accept it in any form.
If sex or his lips battling against yours- his whispered vows, as seemingly heartfelt as they were errant to Caleb’s true character- is all you’ll get of him, then so be it.
In your own way, messed up as it is, it’s almost like with his android, you get a chance to reconcile with the loss.
To say goodbye.
Because before that package arrived at your doorstep, you didn’t have the luxury of one.
A familiar, aged voice sounds over the line. “Hey, dearie, oh- I didn’t wake you, did I? You sound tired.” She’s one to talk, you think to yourself- but not with malice. Truth be told you’ve worried for her as of late.
It’s been lonely for you both, you’re sure, but even though she only lives on the other end of Linkon, you have trouble making the drive. You haven’t dropped by in a couple weeks.
There’s a few different reasons.
It’s hard to pretend you’re fine when you’re not, for one, that what happened with Caleb- the abruptness and lack of conclusion, the confusing aftermath of it all- never did. You try your best to plaster on a smile and be strong in your grandmother’s presence, but that’s easier said than done. Especially when that old house of hers is jam-packed with photos and tokens of your past with him— painful reminders whenever you do visit.
The newest excuse for not is guilt.
Frankly, Gideon is the only one who knows what’s going on. Hah- no surprise, being he was the main reason for your even ordering not-Caleb.
But Gran doesn’t know.
You haven’t told her about him. And after last night, what with your own release still dried to your legs (which wobble slightly; he was every bit passionate and then some), you don’t think you ever will.
She might actually slap you across the face, taking your willingness to believe in such a lie as an offense against her grandson’s vibrant character.
…If she found out what happened- that you opened your legs for him and moaned- she might go into cardiac arrest.
You didn’t… want that to happen, definitely not- I mean, you didn’t even have the time to prepare. But yes, you did let it.
And curse yourself for wanting your brother back, but—
“No, it’s fine, Gran,” you glance over your shoulder to the staircase. Finding it empty, you let out a breath. “Is something wrong? It’s… It’s early.”
—you’d be lying if you said it didn’t feel a little fucking blissful to wake up to his face again, just like back when you were inseparable kids.
She sighs on the other end, “no, no,” she starts. You think you hear a TV in the background; something to fill the silence you leave her to sit in. “Nothing’s wrong, my dear. I just… I haven’t seen you in a bit. I miss your face, Y/n. How are you doing?”
Like a dart to a board, guilt lands its mark.
You shouldn’t fluster at such a simple question, but you do. Not just because it’s so direct and genuine, but because a big hand rests over your shoulder and suddenly Caleb is there, standing behind you.
You straighten up from where you’re propped against the wall and quickly lift a hand to silence any words he may speak.
“I-I’m well, Gran. Sorry, just- I’ll visit soon, I promise.”
“I’d like that,” she murmurs. You’re aware of how much she means it and close your eyes with a wince. A broad palm, as if sensing your inner turmoil, rubs your shoulder soothingly.
You rub the bridge of your nose and don’t look.
“What’s… What’s been keeping you?” She broaches after a beat. Laughter from the television fades in and out over the speaker.
For a second, you freeze. You freeze because you fear she might know.
All for naught: “You’re getting enough sleep, right? I don’t want you overworking yourself. I know you’ve had a lot on your mind, sweetie- oh, God knows we’ve both suffered all these months without Caleb, but that’s no reason for us to fall apart either-”
You sigh shakily and bite down on a cry.
“Yeah, I know. But I’ve been better, Gran, okay? I…” Shiftily, you wet your bottom lip and give a half truth- as if that can relieve you of this weight. “I was talking with Gideon a little; he’s…. he helped me.”
She sounds pleasantly surprised. “Oh? Good, good. What about?”
Nosy as ever. Not that you’re complaining. It’s good to know someone cares- someone… real.
You swallow your unease. “He was just talking to me about his job and stuff. EVER... He told me he was finally getting that raise or whatever, so he’s doing well... I- I was prying per usual,” you joke to lighten the mood, “He, uh… he tells me more than Caleb ever did, so…” (And when his name started to feel like a sin to say, you don’t know.) “So, you know. I was just curious. He was checking in on me, too…”
Warm breath fans at your ear, fingers closing around your shoulder as he peppers kisses at your neck insistently- and you shudder. Clasping the phone tighter (because it suddenly feels unstable in your hands), you shrug off (not)Caleb for just long enough to say,
“Gran- I- I gotta go. Uh- someone else is calling me,” and to preclude any probing on her end- or extra guilt on yours- you add, “I’ll visit tomorrow, okay? I promise. I’ll- I’ll be there. I love you.”
A voice timidly mirrors it back, and then a big set of hands is taking the phone from you and ending the call.
You turn to him with a notch in your brow as he pockets it in the sweats he must’ve hastily thrown on after finding the bed empty.
“Caleb-“
You start, and his lips press to yours.
With some encouragement- hushing you between kisses, knuckling down your cheek affectionately- he shepherds you back upstairs, to your room.
“Nuh-uh, just let me take care of you, pretty girl, ‘kay?” He murmurs, smiling. You could die in peace to it, you think hazily as he lies you down— because the last mental screenshot you took of him before the accident was his handsome face crestfallen after you’d said something scathing.
To your defense, at the time, you thought he’d deserved it. Maybe he did. It’s hard to remember, but whatever the argument was about, it must’ve been stupid. Not worth it.
And… he’s not Caleb, he’s not, you know that, but…
“Lie back. It’s… It’s just you and me here. I want you to know that. And everyone else-“
(Gran, you realize he must mean; Gideon and all the other familiar and unfamiliar faces both at EVER.)
“None of it matters now. Just focus on me. On Caleb.”
(And how eerie is that? You muse with a whit of your rationale. The rest, as it withers, perhaps only does so for the sake of your own sanity.)
The whole world as it stands: nudged away to oblivion at his behest.
“O-Okay,” you give.
He’s not Caleb. But if this is your best- only- shot at reconciliation, then you’ll take him with arms open.
…
When he’s done priming you, he clambers on top and you experience a repeat of last night.
Deja vu, as fresh as a wound reopened, makes your mind lag a few increments behind reality. But when he starts to slow down, thrusts growing sloppy- it feels oddly real, and, head a bit clearer than last night, you register that.
…But it’s your release that stains the sheets. Steadily trickling from your hole, slicking his hips. It only makes sense that way; he might fuck like a human, but that’s all inherent to his program, you’re sure, built to please- and ultimately, he’s made of metal. Rods. You think you can feel them when you grab too tight, that hardness.
He leads you to the proverbial end of the cliff, and you survey the bottom one last time before- geronimo- you make that final leap.
When not-Caleb comes, he shudders in your arms.
Yet you swear… You swear something inside him, behind his lidded eyes, deeper in-
It’s like it shutters.
A flash. Brief and jarring, for a moment so bright it’s like your eyes have been virginal to light all along.
Just a malfunction, you decide with a spent sigh, sweaty in his solid arms as they make a cage around you, eager to sleep until noon.
Maybe you’ll mention it to Gideon next time he drops by.
Maybe he would know how to fix it.
✦
The days that follow after are foggy and empty. Like a moratorium of everything that once breathed in your life.
You wreathe not-Caleb’s neck with that beloved apple-shaped locket like he’s earned it.
Knowing nobody ever could.
✦
Gideon knocks, one afternoon.
You send him away. Or- Caleb does.
At that, you feel the need to remind him of who he is: the people he cares for, his career path, how he operated as a person before the incident in his suite in Skyhaven.
Caleb stops you short, a palm dwarfing the back of your own, and says I know. I just don’t want my buddy interrupting our time together, Pipsqueak. Can you blame me for wantin’ it to be just you and me?
You stop going out.
He doesn’t let you- not really. I mean, he doesn’t explicitly declare these rules over you, but it’s in the strange glint in his eye- the one that makes you shut your mouth and purse your lips- when he stops you at the door and suggests you stay.
Says it’s better that way. Says he worries whenever you go. Says to take him with you instead if you really must.
Progressively, you’re drifting farther and farther out from shore. Mentally-speaking, you’re going off the deep end. But exiting your house hand-in-hand with your brother- the man the town declared dead in an email you couldn’t bear to finish reading- as he stares at you like a lover, is, no matter the ache, something you can’t quite bring yourself to do.
It’d make this illusion just a smidgen realer. You’d never wake from this dream if other people saw it- saw him- and therefore made his presence more solid in your mind. (Not to mention the disgusting assumptions they’d make- none exactly wrong.)
You’ve been so consumed by grief lately, though, that the knowing of your imminent breakdown can’t stop you from making other bad choices.
So when the brunet altogether bars you from going out in public for the fear that something bad will happen to you (nonsensical; not that he sees the flaws in his arguments), insisting that groceries can be bought online, Gran can be checked up on over the phone, etcetera—
Yeah, you bend to it, alright? Sue you. Of course you bend. It’s all you know what to do anymore.
Gradually, though, the unexpected charm of not-Caleb begins to fade, and you’re left with a possessive form of the brother you once knew. A man desperately clawing at straws, hellbent to keep you at his side, clingy and insecure and, frankly, sometimes scary.
As the inaccuracies build, you’re not sure for how much longer you can overlook them.
The only reason you even tolerated him originally was because he was passable. More than that, even- he was perfect. A dead-ringer for Caleb in both appearance and personality.
But this-
This isn’t Caleb. No longer. It never was.
You don’t believe it for a second.
You heave a soft sigh. Anything louder than a breath brings the chance that he’ll overhear from where he stands in the kitchen and come zipping over, no doubt ready to fret and question you. If you value your time alone- rare as it is these days- then you’ll stay silent.
It’s a near impossible task to separate yourself from him. It was a small miracle in itself that you managed to break away for half an hour or so- but even that was begat by a lie. It seems the only real way to rid yourself of the overly doting, obsessive older brother (even if just for a few minutes) is to give him another demand. This time, it was an ‘I’m hungry’ that finally earned you some peace and quiet.
It’s a little sad, but lately you treat him more or less like a jacket after entering a warm home: you’re eager to shrug him off because the climate has changed.
The climate has changed.
He- He’s changed.
He’s growingly insane and yes, while the irony of that observation isn’t lost on you (considering you’re the mad woman who bought a human-like robot as a replacement in the first place), you still can’t help but feel alarmed as the signs of wrongness don’t cease but worsen.
You think about pressing the button. Turning him off, sending him away.
Hell, maybe you’d just dump him in the communal trash receptacles out back. Leave him there in a human-shaped bag for the garbage men to come and squint at before hauling away like junk.
…Because he is junk, right? No different than a crumb on the floor, you’d once said.
Perhaps you’ve lost it.
The section of your brain responsible for caring must’ve shut off, though, because it’s currently hard to feel much of anything.
…But there, like a soft stirring (or the voice of God as it whispered to Elijah)- you can sense it. That feeling is reminiscent of a survival instinct, or a watered-down version of it to tired nerves, breathing down the back of your neck where hackles rise—
What are you doing here?
The dream begins to fissure in real-time when Caleb (not-Caleb, you harshly remind yourself) cheerfully patters into the living room where you sit, helpful as ever, and his eye flashes as it settles on you. No different than a camera would.
The food looks delicious, per usual- you’d expect nothing less of your brother or even the robotic copy of him- but as nausea churns in your belly and you jolt upright, slapping a hand over your mouth as you run to the bathroom, nothing can save your appetite.
You shakily lock the door- but he’s knocking in an instant, worried.
You always did melt at his bleeding heart. Too often, men, especially the bigger of them, fell under the persuasion of apathy. Yet your gege was always different, always sweet, always gentle and patient and- yeah, okay, sometimes he was a touch mean, teasing to a fault- sometimes to the point of tears on your end as he quickly tried to right his wrongs- but he was preciously yours.
And he was real.
Dammit, he was fucking real-
He was alive and emotionally tangible in a way that this awful fucking hunk of metal is not and never will be—
“Pipsqueak-? Hey, hey, what’s wrong? Let me in. A-Are you not feeling well?” His words crack when you say nothing, dutifully ignoring him.
“Y/n… Let me in. Please-! don’t leave me alone, don’t go.” His voice becomes ragged, raw, the longer you don’t answer. Boyish in its vulnerability. “Stay- Stay here with me.”
By God your soul splinters down the middle. But you don’t answer. You- You can’t.
You throw your lunch up in the toilet and then your back against the wall, sliding down it with your hands over your ears like a child.
You don’t care, if he’s shouting and beating at the door, on the brink of hysteria like you’ve heard only once or twice when he was a boy too soft for his own good- you don’t care- you don’t care—
You sit there until he short-circuits out and thuds to the floor.
You flinch when he does.
Only then, however, do you tiptoe out- careful lest you trigger some internal response from him- to quickly pull on a hoodie and put your hair up, locking the front door behind you.
You don’t know for how long he’ll be conked out, but if luck is on your side, it’ll be for long enough to run to the local corner store and buy a pregnancy test.
You know you’re losing it, the little sanity you had left after your brother passed— misreading a common cold for a veritable child swelling in your womb.
It’s laughable: using your sleeve (another old piece of his clothing you ‘borrowed’, never to be returned) to dot away the tears at your lashline, you do laugh on the short trek to the convenience store.
But if not a reminder that you really are going crazy, losing control, then at least it’s just an opportunity to get some fresh air for a bit, right?
(…You also know that the first step to regaining back said control is to say goodbye to not-Caleb.
As it stands, though, you’re just-
You were never ready.)
✦
Two pink lines.
The thing clatters to the bathroom floor, and you along with it.
You sink to your knees and the white walls surrounding you feel more like an asylum than a space in your own house- because yes, you must be delusional. This is the final nail in the coffin.
But this- this can’t be right. It’s impossible. In the strictest sense of the word it’s impossible!
Heavy feet traipse in the kitchen; the livingroom; the hall, searching for you with faint, candied beckons of your name.
You rub your face as if to feel the color as it seeps from your complexion, and tell yourself that you’ve positively lost it as you thoughtlessly choose one of the corners to slump into, hyperventilating.
You’ll- you’ll send it back to EVER... You’ll send it back and forget and move on. You’ll move on. You’ll stop grieving, you’ll squirrel away your fraying, final memories of Caleb like you did all those precious photos in that old shoebox in your closet.
You’ll-…
A breath. The fan whirs.
The faucet, going full-blast, sputters, effectively drowning out the sounds you make as air becomes a tricky thing to intake; thick enough to choke on.
You’ll throw yourself into the fifth stage of grief then crawl out the other side of it if that’s what it takes to undo this fucking reality you’re lost in-
“Pipsqueak?” A hand on your shoulder.
Broad, big. A little weathered.
But gentle always. Gentle always. Just like you remember. Just like when Caleb meant Caleb; not the big glorified toy that walks and acts like him as an admittedly convincing, yet ultimately faux locum.
Your heart stills, hanging pendant in your chest. You swing from that uncertainty. By God you’d beat that handsome face in- oh, but by God would you kiss it, too.
The door sways on its hinge by splintered fragments, creaking behind the brunet.
Timidly, you lift your head over your shoulder to meet his eye where he towers behind you, violet hues softening with concern. They drift lower, honing in on the little item by your knee, wayward.
He coos immediately, enveloping you in his strong arms.
The feeling- it’s not exactly like that of the one you’d get while swimming in a hot tub, engulfed in its steaming waters, but it’s not too far off either. You let him hold you, unseeing as he all but sings in your ear, and restore the warmth to your bones.
Like a dead thing, or prey, you hang limp in his firm grasp. Terribly uncertain.
“Shh…” he croons, and you only realize a belated moment later that you’re crying. Hard and ugly.
He pets down your hair, ever the comforter, and as you press your head against his barrel chest it’s almost like you can hear a faint whirring in lieu of a heartbeat- speedy but low.
Unreal. Unreal. But then how-?
Perhaps you’ve lost it.
“We’ll figure it out together, honey,” you think it’s a barely concealed smile you register at the crown of your head, pasting down a kiss. “But no more cryin’, okay? I can’t stand to see you like this… Let me draw you a bath, hm? I’ll light some candles and we can talk about it. But don’t be scared. This is… such good news,” and then he laughs- a boyish, marveling little laugh that digs deep into your heart and twists.
The button, between his breastbone, just out of reach, glows faintly through his shirt.
For a moment you’re ready to press it like a player would on a game show— with urgency— but you blink and see those two pink lines searing themselves into your conscience.
Defeatedly, you shut your eyes. But you don’t shut him off.
✦
With Caleb preparing dinner, you’re able to slip away one evening for long enough to call Gran.
For worried friends and relatives, your voicemail box is becoming quite the hotbed- but among them, your grandmother is the priority.
Propping yourself by the sliding glass door, you brush back the curtain and look out to the small, cookie-cutter yard as you accept the call. Not without a shaky breath to prepare you, though; it’s been over a month since your last visit, and while your calls haven’t been quite as behind, you still wince a bit every time her contact pops up.
You want to tell her.
If not about Caleb, then at least the small bump forming beneath your oversized lounge shirt. There’s excuses for it- ones to be frowned upon, yes, but they’d be believable nonetheless. Obviously, a pregnancy is not something as simple to hide as a robot you can turn on and off and, if needed, stuff in the coat closet until the coast is clear.
You want to tell her. But-
You purse your lips, answering, “Hey Gran.”
The tone of her voice, frazzled and barely holding together, sends a chill down your spine.
“Y/n- where have you been? Is everything okay? I’ve been- I’ve been calling all afternoon.”
You digest that information with a quirk of your brow, scanning across the lawn outside, and a thick swallow.
There’s the voicemails, sure; it was only two nights ago you were poring over them all and holding back tears of guilt. But this afternoon? It was quiet- almost blissfully so, spent curled up to Caleb’s chest on the sofa as you watched an old favorite movie and he happily fed you fruit-flavored candies from his hand every so often.
Nobody called, let alone multiple times. You’re sure of it.
“Gran- what? No, I’m fine. What’s wrong?” You start, tossing a nervous glance behind you, internally grateful that Caleb’s absent humming while he chopped veggies was too distant for the phone to pick up.
She blusters out, apropos of nothing, “Is he there with you?”
Something in you stills.
“Y/n- is he there with you?”
An abnormal rush of blood to your ears and a murmur of your heart as you stand confused. The fingers curled around your phone case jitter.
You hold it closer to your ear.
“What? What are you talking about? I-Is who here with me?”
Does she- There’s no fucking chance- does she know?
How?
Chest thumping, your pulse fluttering in the column of your throat as it bobs uncertainly, you begin to wonder to yourself if this is the time you come clean, lay all your sins out like cards on a table. Make the confession.
Push has come to shove, you think. And fuck if you know where all this is coming from on her end, if Gideon told her or she just miraculously put two and two together or-
An exhale on her end, shaking on its way out.
“Were you not told? Dear-“ she broaches, louder, more firm— and this is just milliseconds before the world as you know it- the one you freed of your hands and let reshape itself around a delicate delusion- buckles at the knees. It’s right before you do, too.
“They found him. They found Caleb.”
That breath, right afterward of her telling you, is like the first one after drowning.
Your eyes widen as you break the surface.
His- His body. The tinny footage they dredged up from the area showed he entered his home, but after the explosion, there was no sign of him, no ash no corpse no nothing— So you don’t know how the hell they managed to recover his pieces, let alone after they already ran clean-up crews through the charred infrastructure and hosed it down- but you’re hysterical at the news.
You were cruelly forced, all along, to just assume he’d been burned to nothingness.
So you don’t even care about the how. How it’s possible or how this is happening after several months of white noise and hurting on your end— you don’t care.
You were made to come to terms with his death, and you did, at most, acknowledge it- but evidently, you could never quite accept it.
…If this is your final chance to say goodbye- even if it just means peering over a metal table in the morgue as he lies disheveled, hardly recognizable under a sheet- so fucking be it.
You’ll say goodbye if it kills you.
“What-? Where- where?” Your tone reflects as much, urgent as you stagger over to the sofa, nearly tripping as you reach for the jacket slung over the arm.
“I-Im coming,” you croak out, words failing you as the velvety carpet feels like mud beneath your bare feet- hard to walk across, every step making you feel like a baby taking its first ones.
One second you’re navigating a truth so unbelievable it’s near violent as it barrels into you; in the next, you’re collapsing under the weight of it, too caught up in your own scrambling for your keys and the door to even think of not-Caleb.
Gran goes to timidly say something, but your ears are shot and you quickly interject, “Let me get dressed- I-I’ll be there! Is he at the morgue?”
“Oh, no, honey,” she quavers out, “He’s alive. The town just messaged me; they made a mistake with his death certificate- they’re revoking it as we speak. He’s in Skyhaven.”
The phone drops to the floor.
And then that, too, gives way beneath you.
…It’s good a helping hand is there for you, then. Shouldering your weight without prompting- fretful as he confiscates the device, no different than a teacher with an unruly student, swiftly disconnecting the call.
It tuts in your ear, but- more sober than you’ve ever been- you can only note the sympathy practically dripping from its tone for what it really is: the upshot of its near immaculate programming as it mimics your considerate gege to a T.
Not-Caleb noses against your nape and sighs.
Mutely, you wind a hand, tottering, uncoordinated fingers and all, behind your back to grope along his chest—
He easily gathers both your wrists in his palm, “hey now,” turning you around. He lifts your knuckles up for a chaste kiss, watching you intently all the while.
A cold weight settles over you, soaking you through like meat left overnight to marinate. From the kitchen, stirfry sizzles in the pan. A few moments more of it and the smoke detectors will fire off.
…He just leans in to peck your forehead though, deaf to the sirens you hear wailing in your head, having mastered the art of playing dumb long ago.
He murmurs, as cloying as cake frosting, “C’mon, Pipsqueak, let’s go eat. Dinner’ll be done in just a sec. I made one of your favorites. After that, we can sit around the couch and brainstorm some more names for the baby- what d’you think?”
Flukes, malfunctions, glitches— no; Not-Caleb, you realize right then, ceasing to blink as you stare at its prototype through the shifting lens head-on, was never flawed.
“…But you’re not leavin’, not to him.”
The real one was.
