The Lesbiana's Guide to Catholic School Author Sonora Reyes Published 2022
An equal parts hilarious and heartfelt young adult queer romance. Yamilet Flores is starting her school year at a new fancy private Catholic School that she really can't afford with two goals in mind, keep her younger brother out of trouble, and don't get outed. She learned from her mistakes after being betrayed by her best friend and plans to keep a tight lid on her feelings from now on. This becomes difficult when she meets the only other out queer girl at her school and struggles not to be gay about it. Dealing with themes of family, acceptance, togetherness, isolation, culture. A recommended read for anyone who wants to laugh and cry at the same time.

A sequel to her 2017 novel "The Marrow Thieves" the story takes place in a world where everyone, except indigenous people, has lost the ability to dream. To save themselves from becoming mindless zombies society captures indigenous people and locks them away in "Residential school" where their bone marrow is harvested and transplanted to people suffering from the dreamless plague. Frenchie, a seventeen-year-old boy from a group of survivors wakes up in one of these residential schools where he meets his brother he long thought dead and now he needs to rely on his wits and strength of will in order to escape. A story about colonization, internalized racism, and what it takes to survive in a world that would rather see you gone.
