The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.

Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.

So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.

Bears. They’re everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.

so i wore a pride flag pin to work the other day and the kids were all interested (obviously) (find me a classroom of preschoolers who are not obsessed with rainbows) (i'll wait) so they crowded around to see.

"aww!" they said, "it's a flag!!"

but the thing is: they're little. a lot of them don't really have a handle on all their mouth sounds yet.

such as, notably, that tricky tricky "L" sound.

holy hell I dreamed that Fault had an afterlife and it was so trippy. It was canonically dream or AI esque, these shifting warping backgrounds that blurred and made no sense, full of people and objects you couldn’t recognize. Hyper detailed but swirly abstract at the same time. Surrounded by people and things but isolated, never interacting. Each person had a guide that would lead them through their personal afterlife, which differed for everyone, industrial and grass plains and broken planets.

The one I remember most clearly is Tubbo’s, since in the dream they died. Philza went in after them, which apparently he could do as a Conceptual. Apparently he had to escape the afterlife everytime he respawned so was very familiar with the process. He dove into their death, desperate to pull them out. Meanwhile in the real world Wilbur cracked open Tubbos’ chest and was hooking up jumper cables and the like, trying to galvanize a heart Tubbo doesn’t have. But the afterlife itself- gah, I have to draw it.
