James Potter is a perfect mixbetween Spiderman and Mamma Mia with a sprinkle of sports hooligan and a shit tone of lover boy. Add in a touch of himbo who drinks his respect women juice with every meal.

thinking about that post of people assuming ao3 has an algorithm and also about how bonkers persistent the view is that ao3 is social media lite. like with startling regularity I get comments saying something along the lines of "it's probably weird to comment on a fic this old--" no it isn't!!!! this is an archive I am literally just assuming you searched for a selection of specific tags or sorted by kudos or looked back on my pseud or any other number of completely normal ways to use an archive site ?? kill the tiktok ghost in your brain and comment on old stuff it's NOT weird

When people get a little too gung-ho about-
wait. cancel post. gung-ho cannot be English. where did that phrase come from? China?
ok, yes. gōnghé, which is…an abbreviation for “industrial cooperative”? Like it was just a term for a worker-run organization? A specific U.S. marine stationed in China interpreted it as a motivational slogan about teamwork, and as a commander he got his whole battalion using it, and other U.S. marines found those guys so exhausting that it migrated into English slang with the meaning “overly enthusiastic”.
That’s…wild. What was I talking about?

Hope and Memory have one daughter and her name is Art, and she has built her dwelling far from the desperate field where men hang out their garments upon forked boughs to be banners of battle. O beloved daughter of Hope and Memory, be with me for a little.

“if no art makes you feel anything, make your own art and feel something” is too raw of a line to have come from a jenna marbles video of her painting a rainbow/polka dot seahorse saying “it’s seahorse time” on a denim jacket

Y'all I just wrote the most banging poem of my life, my magnum opus if you will, a poem that fucks so hard it makes me more nauseous than "maybe I just need a few more bobby pins", ANYWAYS, "November is a Dreary Month" after Yasmin Belkhyr's "September is a Weary Month" will be posted on Friday @4:00pm CST.

Sorry no I can’t hang out today I’m going to be pulling my memory out ribbonlike and dripping. And shrieking into my pillow. And writing the poems. Yeah it’s gonna be all day

writers and artists will go "this isn't good enough." my brother in christ, you're creating something new out of nothing and expressing yourself creatively. your productivity and unrealistic standards of perfection do not define you or the worth of your art. you're doing great.
