How did you get so good at art? This is a genuine question 😭

Oh!! Firstly, Thank you for saying that! I appreciate it very much!

I feel a little bit awkward so forgive me for that, since I don't see my level as especially high when talking about my fanart, but I did receive academic training as a former fine arts student. I got my masters in printmaking but that's basically a different field within visual arts, and I did not pursue art as a career after graduation.

I think uni provided a great opportunity to lay down some nice foundations. I was primarily trained in traditional media, digital art is something I'm learning right now for self-interest and I must say it's very hard! But it's worth mentioning that practicing both feels very helpful, there is a lot to learn and adapt from A to B and vice versa.

I have been making art for 15 years on and off, so I mostly believe it's a matter of time and passion. There were many students I looked up to back then and there was a healthy amount of competition between us which made me eager to push my limits.

I also have this tendency to obsess over my interests & hyperfixate a lot. I consider this to be helpful in this situation. 😆

(TLDR; I was stupid enough to work on it til 6am in the morning and my eyes were literally red & hurting & I was not in the best mood about the drawing overall. I remember first reading that scene back in 2021 (was it chapter 95 maybe?) and my mind went all crazy & wanted to illustrate the whole thing in several different ways hahaha

Ofc maybe only one of those pieces got to the final stage and now here is an attempt at a redraw cuz I can never get enough of that one specific scene
