It's kinda funny writing Nyxpha in the rpc now and having her story be so Necrozma-centric, when it isn't nearly as hot of a subject anymore. Because oh boy, back in 2017-2019?? Everybody and they mama was doing Ultra Necrozma-focused events or something, either blog-scale or raid-esque involving a bunch of participants.

Idc if they aren't that old yet, USUM are generational games just for the creativity and community they helped promote on the site. It was such a fun time to experience.

...Though, in 2 years, USUM will turn 10 years old. And SuMo turns 10 next year. Ain't that wild?

I have Ryme and Poppy over there as my Paldea muses, with Drayton in the works and I'll probably put Amarys over there too. Nyxpha's a special OC to me so she can have her own blog, but I really shouldn't get back into the bad habit of making new blogs left and right. I mean, that's even why I made my multi in the first place-

Larry’s dream of being an ordinary guy has been the same ever since he was a child. He was a quiet kid who didn’t speak much and struggled to socialise with others. He had two passions: good food and Pokémon battling; two passions which have remained the same to this day.

Larry was bullied in school for his quiet and meek demeanour by some and for his intense interest in Pokémon battling by others. It frustrated and upset him. All he wanted was to be normal and for life to be simple. And so perhaps setting out and completing the league challenge would give him that.

With his first Pokémon Dunsparce in tow, he set about exploring Paldea. He spent his time learning the best eateries in every town and city, and training. His matches against gym leaders were a sight to behold, as his normal type Pokémon plowed down their opponents, and yet he never made a spectacle of what he’d done. Simply nodded and moved on.

He’d soon complete all gyms, but before he could challenge the Elite 4, he was offered a place as a gym trainer at Medali Gym. Stability and routine were things Larry appreciated and so he took the offer. A normal job. Excellent. He also continued with school studies on the side, meaning he had an incredibly busy schedule. When he finally finished school, he thought that maybe the work would let up a bit.

Wrong.

He was offered the position of Gym Leader. A promotion? How could he refuse. His dedication to his work as a Gym Leader was eventually picked up by the Champion. He was invited to challenge the Elite 4 to show his skill. He impressed them and was offered the position as a member. But there was no one suitable left to run the gym. And so he took on responsibility of both. If he could juggle school and battling surely he could handle both of these.

…. Well. He could. Just about. A tired worker who wished for a break (but would rather overwork than ever admit it) and held back moans about his boss (who he respected a lot). Yes. This was what normal was. Finally maybe this is what ordinary was. Maybe now he could be content. Nice and simple.

Nyxpha's memory is severely lacking in multiple areas, as the USF constantly injected her with mind-altering chemical agents to keep her as ignorant & obedient as possible. She can't recall the majority of her early life.

The little she can remember is dreadful, even more so now that she has context for her containment.

To differentiate between Necrozma's light and light in general, I use "Lyte" as a label for the former, but just calling it light still works. I do wonder how exactly its light affects things...and how Necrozma would destroy Behevoyon (the Ultraian's name for the Ultra Megalopolis), should it ever regain its true power via absorbing Nyxpha...because it definitely would to punish the race that betrayed it.

Part of Nyxpha's story is that she isn't fully aware of how important it is for she to NEVER get caught by Necrozma. The USF was right in that she'd restore its true form (like *actually* restore it - it wouldn't be temporary), but naive for assuming it would spare all Ultraians. Bro is Big Mad.

For anyone familiar with SCP stuff, "When Day Breaks" is probably along the lines of what would happen to Ultraians. Just swap the sun out for (Ultra) Necrozma. Who knows if it would choose to pay Earth a visit next.
