I actually kinda like the symbolism in Arthur's (high honor) death. I feel like the tuberculosis represents the bad deeds in general that he's committed, but is also a literal reminder to Arthur of the damage he's caused to innocent people. Him dying to his sickness in the High Honor endings instead of being directly killed feels like a display of how your past always catches up to you. Despite how hard he tried, despite how much he changed, despite everything he did to be a better person, the things he did in the past still lingered and brought him down in the end. Even though he bettered himself as much as he could, he couldn't escape what he had done. There are some things out there that you just can't take back.
