11 & 13!
Hobbies aside from roleplaying are creating boardgames and making otome games. I love doing both! I have created a few already with one already having sold a few copies! I also enjoy playing board games a lot.
My favourites are escape rooms games -- basically if there is a riddle or puzzle to solve, I am your person! Murder mystery games are also starting to become a favourite too. Maybe I shall design one, eventually.
I suggest playing EXIT games if you haven't already. They are fuuuun. Either by yourself or with others. Nothing shows if you are sharing a brain cell or if you work as a cohesive team than a good EXIT game.
In terms of languages I used to speak more, but the ones I am fluent in are English, French and Vietnamese. Japanese is rusty as heck and so is German. When I was younger, I spoke Spanish! But it truly is a thing of if you don't use it you lose it!
Some may say, but KEI you can watch anime and use it. But I am a subtitles person. Like not in a don't understand language but I literally need to read what I hear otherwise I misunderstand context. It's usually why my fave method of communicating is through text.
I am currently working on learning sign, but it is slow and I have memory issues. And, once again, of you don't use it you lose it. Since I no longer am customer facing, I have not much use for signing as I had in my old job where I occasionally met deaf and mute people. I fell behind in learning in the last year.
But yeah main languages I use frequently are English and French! These are used for work!
I can speak Vietnamese but I don't like using it nor is there much reason to, which was how I lost the Japanese slowly over time. Asian languages might be phased out entirely from my mind one day, since I don't talk to relatives much anymore.
Though I will pick up things I don't mean to hear in those languages regardless.

Kei is an unapologetic Gemini! Which may account for the adaptability in a lot of RPC situations.

Rika's Guardian Ceremony
It was during a time when they both had a spare moment, after some discussion and the eventual weight of Rika coming to accept Yuri's request...they would meet with all the quiet ceremony this meeting would entail.
On a night when the moon shone down on the still surface of the Sacred Lake. Not even a passing breeze shook it, leaving the glass-like surface to truly reflect the sky above. A lone figure waited there in the middle of it all, like a celestial being standing among the stars, practically glowing under the moon.
With the symbol of her birth right clearly shown on her forehead and arrayed in the gauzy, silvery white clothing of some long forgotten monarch, Yuri smiled at her friend who came to call. All of this was arranged for her, to make this moment a little more special.
Spring was here, evident in the lilies that Yuri favoured so to have already bloomed or begin blooming all around the Sacred Lake. They gently swayed in the moving wind, making it look like they were following the Moon Maiden's steps as she came to greet Rika at the edge of the shore.
The priestess' hands came out, palms up, beckoning to be taken.
"Tonight, I will commemorate this moment in which my dear friend comes to make an oath. To become a Guardian is to become a protector in times of peril, in times of hardship and danger and never turning away. In taking on this oath, this title, you understand what your role will be until the moment that death claims either one of us."
When the affirmation came eventually, Yuri lifted up Rika's left hand, while also keeping a level gaze into the other woman's eyes. All around them, the wind picked up again, tugging at their clothes, blowing their hair. Something was coming; a small mist was rolling in as Yuri brought that hand closer and closer to her lips.
"I'm sure you'll do great."
And at that moment Yuri's lips made contact with Rika's hand, the contract would be sealed. The world around them shifted suddenly, Yuri herself even disappearing right before Rika's eyes. As a golden crescent began to form on the back of her left hand where Yuri had kissed it, giving her the official blessing and title of a Guardian, the world slowly stopped spinning.
[BG MUSIC]
Moon filtered through a canopy now, the place both something out of a dream, yet still so real. Full of rolling fog and an aura of mysteriousness. The ethereal white mist coalesced together, then ebbed away slowly revealing a stranger in a mask. Wolf-like in nature, with a steely gaze, the wolf must mean something to the person now making way towards Rika, a shield at their side.
"Rika..." the apparition spoke, "...O blessed child of my blood..."
Her voice had a rough tint to it, with an accent she'd probably never heard of before, but this person's voice would resonate with the trainer's soul as familiar at a deep level. Resonating within her blood.
"I am from a time long ago...I am of your blood and you are of mine. Where you step, the radiance of your brethen follow...or so it should. It must be so difficult for you."
The person with the cyan wolf's mask seemed to sigh, head tilting to the side a moment, before straightening up and reaching out to her.
"You...us...we are not the kind to be held back. Those of our blood...we shine best when we do not hold back. As my descendant, I see this and I feel so proud."
A mote of light appeared in her palm, now floating over carefully to Rika, just hanging there in the air, waiting to be taken.
"Long ago I held this title, and so with it, this Blessing...my blessing will now become yours as does the duty that comes with it. Accept it well and protect the Fated Maiden on the path ahead, as well as yourself."
The light dropped into Rika's hand, slowly ebbing into a gentler glow, revealing a ring. The physical manifestation of a Blessing from a Legendary that had been won previously by Lady Aya, now passed to Yuri to give to Rika. So many Guardians had been appointed with this ring and yet, it would hold a more special connotation between Rika and the ghostly ancestor that appeared.
The backdrop melted away and she would be back at the Sacred Lake, with Yuri, the ring waiting to be put on and her new mark as a Guardian etched into her skin on the back of her left hand. If she turned it just so, the little golden crescent moon could glint when it caught moonlight. It pulsed with new power, manifesting something from within. A representation of her will, of something ready to bubble up....
"Congratulations, Rika. You have attained the title of Guardian."

"Well, to be fair, my family has been slowly picked off over the last fifty years....one shrine maiden at a time. I was supposed to die last year, but I survived...Guess that might be the wrench in the works, there..."
And the Moon Festival was coming up again, though she was hoping to get ahead of all the craziness so people could enjoy the festival in peace this year.
"Then there's so many choices, it's kind of scary...no clan doesn't have some skeletons in the closet after all."
Yuri moved closer to cling onto Kaguya with a pouty face.
"I really hate that this kind of thing is happening during our generation."
Tumblr media
"That seems to be the opposite order of what's happening now, though, doesn't it?" Between Yuri and her mother, Kaguya would hardly call that aiming for the weakest links first. Not to mention in her case... "Still, if it's an enemy we're looking for, it's probably the very powerful kind. And the very old kind. Which either means it's something we know about and haven't figured out yet... or it's so old we'll be shooting in the dark."

Addendum: You can do any Pokemon typing, not just fairy. For Yuri it's just specific to fairy types. If your muse has any particular affinity, it might be fun just to roll to see what they attract any given day.
Yuri's Fairy Type Aura
Once per day roll a 1d4 per character level. That is how many local Fairy types are summoned to your immediate vicinity. It's up to the DM whether this is a mixture of a single kind of Fairy type Pokemon, but it can only be whatever is local to where your character is at.

"Mmm....from what I gathered from my family's records, whatever was targeting everyone, targeted allies of my family first. Usually the weakest leak, leading their way to the strongest. Usually in the form of some kind of curse...the course of said curses are never mentioned though. Clans have a habit of picking up enemies, after all..."
