The fact that after Daisy got her powers in s2 and was sent to the "Retreat," she was hunted in the woods by the Real Shield who were told to take their precaution and had lethal weapons whereas the very first scene of s3 is Joey getting his powers and being hunted by the ATCU only for it to be Daisy who shows up WITH Shield to validate his fears, comfort him, and save him from them. We love to see it!

Something something both times Jiaying dies, it's by having her bones broken by a man right in front of her daughter but in season 2 it was after she'd tried to kill her daughter and in season 7 it was after she'd tried to save her and the parallels here are absolutely heartbreaking
Something something both times Daisy watches her mom get killed right in front of her was for her own protection, but the first time it was to protect her from her mom and the second time it was her mom protecting her from Nathaniel and the parallels here are absolutely devastating

As much as I'm happy Cal gets a redemption, it rubs me the wrong way that Jiaying doesn't (at least not in s2).
The framing of "Cal does horrible things and murders so many people but deep down, he's still a good man who lost his family in one day and went mad" would work if it hadn't then become "he was manipulated by his evil wife to commit those acts ."
Not enough effort was put into making her actions seem as understandable as his. Only Cal really ever brings it up. She too, lost her family in one day. She was the one tortured and cut into pieces just to wake up in agony and discover her daughter was taken.
They made her the mastermind behind every bad thing Cal did. "he killed all those people for her". It was her people being prosecuted. It was she and her daughter being targeted. She knew exactly what could happen should they be discovered, she experienced it herself.
Shield, Hydra, what does it matter when they'd get to dictate the future of the inhumans, and whether they'd have freedom or not?
Even what led Gordon to transport onto the helecarrier (which allowed Shield to track his location and the location of Afterlife) in the first place was their fear of the the monolith in Shield's hands, which was an object that could destroy their very existence. They didn't even know it was with shield until after.
Even her speech at the end to Daisy made perfect sense minus the genocide part. "They'll never leave us alone. It'll never stop." She's not wrong and all the other seasons prove she's not wrong. They just had to make her go to extreme lengths and never even realize it.
She could've been misguided, making up that terrible plan out of fear and desperation but then coming back to her senses in the end, and listening to her daughter. But the show runners needed a big bad villain to kill off, and they gave the sweet "redeeming oneself for their child" storyline to Cal already.
Only season 7 humanizes Jiaying and redeems her, just for her to be killed off again, and sure it was in protection of Daisy (which makes up for s2 Jiaying trying to kill her) but she still dies in both cases, while Cal gets his memories erased and gets to live happily and freely in ignorance for the rest of his life.
