Summary: A study in his relationship with Sirius Black.
Warnings: angst, mention of war and a slight swear word.
(Use of Google Translate, without using y/n)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tragic and complicated romances only worked in books, at least those with a happy ending. Sirius Black and I were doomed to failure from the beginning, we both knew it, but we still kept on insisting, regardless of how many pieces made up the trail of our broken hearts. "If the destiny of all of us is to fall, why not shine during the passage, my dear?", the older Black used to whisper to me in moments stolen by chance, when the recklessness of adolescence allowed the only thing that mattered was the two of us and the matter of our bodies occupying the same space at a point of almost fusion.
But it was certain to any sensible person that something with such intensity was not made to last, war knocked on the door, and with it any trace of innocence disappeared, dreamers were becoming increasingly scarce and not even Sirius Black managed to shine in the midst of such dense darkness, in the end all stars could become shooting stars.
As time went on, Tom Riddle and his filthy Death Eaters gained more and more power, and little by little the resistance against everything the bastard preached began to take its toll on all those who dared to oppose and dream of a future where hope could flourish again. Times became especially dark after graduation from Hogwarts, without the impenetrable walls of the castle to protect us we felt defenseless, but even so we did not hesitate to throw ourselves headfirst into the war and accept to join the Order of the Phoenix.
As the days went by, Sirius and I became increasingly distant, separated by a thick wall of despair, fear and tragedy. The evils of the world seemed to infiltrate us more and more, dragging all hope into a deep well of bitterness. We often returned exhausted from uninterrupted missions and the fights became a third wheel in our relationship, slowly taking away the respect, admiration, companionship, friendship and, in the end, even though the love between us was the last to resist, I knew that it alone would not be able to prevent us from destroying each other and this time the fall would be too high for its brilliance to be worth the fall.
With each fight, parts of me seemed to die like once-bright stars. With each scream or night spent apart, the abyss between Sirius and me threatened to swallow us. The boy as bright as the star he named was withering away every day and there was nothing he could do, at least not without dying alive in the process.
So I left, knowing that I needed to preserve the last shred of light that insisted on resisting within me before it was swallowed by the abyss. It no longer mattered if a part of my own soul would belong eternally to Sirius Black, nor if my love for him could set the stars on fire. What really mattered was that I had a war to fight, not only in the name of the wizarding world, but in my own name. I loved my star boy, but I loved myself more, and I would not apologize for it. That day I did not look back, I simply allowed every piece of that excruciating darkness that surrounded me to go away once and for all.

Summary: The one where you and Lorenzo Berkshire dance in the rain
Warnings:none, just two fools in love
(Text translated by Google Translate,no use of y/n)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I loved melancholy, unlike other people I didn't mind rainy days filled with coffee, there was something peaceful about watching the raindrops running down the window, it was as if time entered a state of suspension and ran in its own way.
It was Saturday, the best day of the week, elected by unanimous consensus among all students in the world, or at least I thought so; in the end, what mattered was that it was the weekend in Hogsmeade and the teachers would simply be busy enough not to notice a random student in the middle of a bone-chilling rain in a random corner of the vast grounds of the grand and very chaotic Hogwarts. Despite the cold I felt comfortable in the rain, soaked to the bone nothing mattered to me other than the sensation of the water droplets exploding on my skin and the unbridled and wild feeling of childish happiness that ran through me at being able to dance in the rain, listening to a song that existed only in my childhood memories alongside my mother.
With my eyes closed and completely absorbed in the moment, I didn't notice footsteps approaching until I stopped feeling the rain wetting my hair; there was only one person who could find me in moments like this: Lorenzo Berkshire and his stupid smile, one that always and regardless Op any situation made me smile involuntarily.
"What are you doing here, cariad?" he asks in a tone that is a mix of concern and amusement.
"You're going to end up getting sick again, angel.
" I can't help but resort to my childish but very effective habit of making puppy eyes at Lorenzo.
"Come on, honey, we need to warm you up before you get hyPOTTERmia."
"You're really funny, Lorenzo," I reply, referring to his joke.
"No Lorenzo for you, it's love of my life."
"If you agree to dance with me, without the umbrella, of course, I'll go in with you without complaining and spend the rest of the day in the common room with you in front of the fireplace, filling my belly with hot chocolate and thinking about your case and I don't call you Lorenzo anymore, closed Berkshire?" I ask with arched eyebrows and a crooked smile that I knew made anything practically impossible for him when it came to me.
To my surprise, Lorenzo doesn't reply; he simply drops the umbrella on the floor and bows in an elegant bow as he offers me his arm. We began to move slowly, staring at each other deeply as I watched the rain soak him completely, slowly but impassively. I would like to deny it, but it was clear from the crooked and adorable smile on his lips that my eyes were wide open as I contemplated the beauty of the boy in front of me, his wet and unruly hair, his soaked clothes, but above all physical attributes, Berkshire's gaze revealed a love as deep as the ends of the Earth. At various times in our relationship, his affection and care for me were visible, but there, in the midst of the torrential rain, I saw something indescribable in his gaze, which reminded me of other eras, other lives, past and future, and I couldn't help but feel disarmed in the face of that, not when I knew I felt the same certainty deep down in my soul.
"In a world of theories cariad, my love for you is a fact, beyond any study or circumstance.", Lorenzo declares in a whisper.
I just rest my head on his chest, listening to the constant sound of his heart and I rock us to a song long forgotten by the gods or any force that ruled the universe, but which was known to us since the foundation of the structures of the world.

Summary: You and Lucien have a moment at sunset.
⚠️Warnings:Nothing major, just some making out and Lucien being gorgeous.
(Text translated by Google Translate, without using y/n)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Sun shared its last rays of the day with us, and even though I was surrounded by the beautiful and exotic flowers in one of the meadows of the stunning daytime court, I only had eyes for one thing, or rather for someone: Lucien Vanserra. Despite the soft ground we were lying on stretching out beneath us like a carpet, nothing compared to the feeling of running my fingers through the luxurious red hair of the male next to me. The glow of the dawn seemed to light his hair, making it look like it was on fire, some of the strands reflected various and rich golden tones, giving it an ethereal appearance, like something too good to be true; to my dismay, that sight made my breath catch in my lungs. Even after all the years together, being with Lucien, feeling his heat ignite my skin would always cause a kaleidoscope of sensations that would remain beyond words for me.
"It's so ugly to stare, dove" Lucien says with a crooked smile as he rolls from his position lying next to me, he props himself up with his elbows and hovers over me.
With the change in position he gets impossibly closer to me, every cell in my being reacts to his presence and the bond between us sings with contentment as his scent invades me, an intoxicating mix of bergamot, toasted nuts and sunlight.
I feel Vanserra planting butterfly kisses all over my face and neck, he takes his time, alternating his soft kisses with a light, feather-like brush of his nose, especially on my neck, it's clear from his mocking smile that Lucien Vanserra is teasing me, despite this at a certain point our eyes connect, in the midst of this connection it's impossible to tell where my soul ends and his begins, I notice that his gaze says the same thing as mine, he, like me, wants nothing more than for our lips to meet.
Even so, the redhead continues with what he was doing, well aware of my increasingly scarce patience. I finally decide to end this and intertwine my fingers in his silky hair, guiding his mouth to mine. Every part of me ignites with the contact, shivers run through my body. It's simply wonderful, it's like being at home. I deepen the kiss, adjusting the position of his head and then I get lost in space-time.
I slowly move away from the kiss, but not before leaving long kisses on my partner's lips. Lucien seems adorably in a trance. When he comes back to reality, he frowns in disgust at the loss of contact, something that I can't help but laugh at quietly.
"We need to go, pretty boy. It'll be dinner time soon and I'm starving," I say as I switch positions, kiss him quickly for the last time and stand up. "I love you, fox boy, with my life."
"I love you too darling, with my life," he replies and picks me up, making me squeal in surprise. Lucien guides us back to the palace, but in the end, my home would be wherever he was.

Summary: Draco Malfoy learns that it's not always possible to have everything you want.
⚠️Warnings: mention of war, mild swearing and mention of aggression and torture and much angst
(Text translated by Google Translate, without using y/n)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was preparing myself for what would be my penultimate Christmas at Hogwarts, despite knowing that lamenting it would seem silly to other people, after all I still had two more Christmases at school ahead of me, but it was inevitable to feel that my days were numbered, as if just one more drop would be responsible for overflowing the full cup that would mark the end of any illusion of freedom that I once had, comforted by the chaotic but familiar routine of the institution.
I was walking towards the potions class through the freezing corridors due to the snow that spread across the entire Hogwarts grounds, I was lost in thought when I felt someone bump into me, I turned to apologize, but before I could, I realized that the person who bumped into me was none other than Draco Malfoy.
"You should watch where you're going, Malfoy. Merlin forbid that your pretty little aristocratic nose gets broken if you fall face down on the floor," I say with a mix of sarcasm and hidden concern."
You should be the one watching where you're going, my love. You're going to end up getting hurt badly because of your habit of living with your head in the clouds." Before I have a chance to give a very rude answer, he continues, "My mother asked me to tell you that your mother expects you to answer her letters. She said you haven't answered in weeks and that she expected a little more consideration from her daughter, even if she's an ungrateful person... her words, not mine," he concludes with a casual shrug, a stark contrast to the mocking smile on his soft-looking lips, which unfortunately made me want to kiss him and punch him in the face in equal measure.
"Message duly received, very grateful."
"You really can't stop being passive-aggressive, aren't you, my dear?"
"Bye Malfoy, it's always a pleasure to meet you.", I reply simply and turn around with the intention of continuing my way to the classroom wanting to put as much distance between us as possible, even knowing that the blond would go to the same place, but before I leave I feel his slender hand hold my arm with surprising delicacy.
"You're a disgrace to Slytherin, mon étoile. You should thank me for not telling your mother what kind of person you hang out with," he whispers in my ear.
Before I can stop myself, I find myself completely losing my composure and responding to him with a low growl, not wanting to draw attention to us:
"Do that and I swear I'll kill you, do you hear me? I swear that if my mother finds out anything about my friends, not even your filthy lord will be able to stop me from finishing you off." After that, I abruptly break free from his grip and walk to the potions classroom in an attempt to calm myself down so that none of my friends notice the storm that had formed inside me.
I arrive in the classroom, and without any surprise Hermione is already inside, what is really surprising is the presence of Harry and Ron in the room, Harry had his nose buried in his new and mysterious potions book, something that has been happening since the beginning of the school year, I put my material next to Hermione's and greet her with a kiss on the cheek, repeating the same action with Harry and Ron, I ruffle both boys' hair before standing next to Hermione again as the classroom begins to fill with students and soon after with Professor Slughorn, so I start to concentrate on the class and gradually forget about the disastrous encounter I had with Malfoy.
After another exhausting day of classes, there was nothing more deserved than a good dinner. My mouth was watering just imagining the delicious food that the old school had to offer. I walked quickly to the Gryffindor table, since Dumbledore himself knew that making me eat at the Slytherin table was simply a waste of time. I sat down between Ron and Ginny, with Hermione in front of me and Harry by her side. We soon started talking, updating each other on the day's events.
"I really wish you were of age. I can't wait any longer to see you free from that hell. Christmas won't be any fun without you," Gin said, referring to me after Mione asked if the boys had informed Aunt Minnie that they wouldn't be staying at Hogwarts during the winter break. The mixture of regret and love was evident in her eyes, something that warmed me inside because of the family I had found in my friends.
"I also wish I could do something, but I only have two options, either I spend Christmas here or I'm forced to go home, but honestly celebrating at the Hog's Head seems much more pleasant, especially after what happened last year...", I answer sadly, overcome by memories, I try to keep the pain and fear resulting from the consequences of what I had done last year away from my voice, because although everyone was more than aware of what had happened, the appropriate measures had been taken and I preferred not to dwell on what had already been done, besides stopping Ginny Weasley from going after my father had been complicated and seeing one of my best friends go to Azkaban for casting an unforgivable curse was not on my dream wall and bringing up this subject again would probably only add fuel to an already hot fire.
I was about to change the subject when I was interrupted.
"I need you to come with me now," Malfoy said, looking at me urgently, his eyes sparkling in a way that left no room for discussion, and despite hating the boy at certain times and knowing that nothing good would come of it, I couldn't help but feel attracted to him, so I had no choice but to get up and follow him wherever he was taking me.
Draco guides me with long, eager strides, not giving me time to question him. We need to get halfway there before I realize we're walking to the astronomy tower. Given his body language, I know I shouldn't, but I can't resist making a sharp comment:
"You're not trying to throw me down the tower, are you?" I ask, raising my eyebrow. "You're not very smart, you know, since you called me while I was with my friends."
"You're the one who seems to lack intellect, mon étoile. Provoking me while I'm trying to contain myself isn't smart at all."
"My, what a bad mood." I reply with disgust, just to have the last word. After all, making the situation worse wouldn't benefit either of us, so we continue on our way in silence.
Malfoy holds the door for me as soon as we finally arrive. We don't touch, but I can feel the tension running through him. I immediately lose my breath.
He walks like a cat behind me and I realize that the only footsteps that make noise are mine, even with the constant fights and my disgust with the choices of Draco and most of his friends, I was never afraid of him, even in the worst fights of our undeclared cold war, we had both been raised together, growing up in the pompous ballrooms of the elite of the wizarding world, and I knew he would never lay a finger on me, but all that tension made me feel an anxiety impossible to deal with, but luckily or not I didn't even need to question him, as soon as we reached the top and the door was closed Draco Malfoy exploded, it was like seeing an entire constellation go up in flames.
"Why the hell did you never tell me your father beat you, we grew up together, damn it!" he snapped as if he couldn't be content to stay silent any longer, it was clear he was deliberately putting distance between us as he walked as far away as possible. "You walk around all smiles with Potter and his gang while your own shitty father beats you, do your little friends know about it or do they just not care?"
"And why does that interest you, Malfoy?", I replied harshly."Draco"
"What?""Don't give me that Malfoy thing, not when I'm mad at you"
"After all, Draco", I said emphasizing his name. "How did you find out about this story?""So you're not going to deny it, have you given up on complicating my life?"
"Honestly, I feel tired. I'm not going to waste time lying to you about something we both know is true. You wouldn't pull me away from the dinner table if you weren't sure." Despite everything in me screaming to contradict Draco, to argue with him, I was simply too tired of this, exhausted from fighting. A war was looming on the horizon and sooner or later I would have to stop wasting time pretending and show everyone my final decision and where my loyalty lay. I knew that arguing with the blond wouldn't get me anywhere other than exhaustion and I needed to nip any connection he thought we had in the bud that gave him the right to interfere in my life.
"Astoria told me," he declares with a defeated exhale, whatever he saw in my eyes made him give up too. "I saw Weasley pick you up for dinner and I was pissed that that poor thing had the nerve to go to the Slytherin common room and I got up to write a letter to your mother. I wanted her to stop you from strutting around with the riffraff, but Astoria practically jumped on me trying to stop me. She hexed me and dragged me to the owlery. At first she refused to give me a plausible reason, but when she saw that she would need more drastic measures to convince me, she told me that your father beats you. She didn't go into details and demanded that I take a perpetual photo with her promising not to talk about it with anyone but the two of you. Which brings us to this point and makes me politely ask you to open your bratty mouth and tell me everything that really happened and convince me not to immediately go to your father and knock all his teeth out.
"Well, since there's no point in hiding it anymore... as you know, I never fit in with high society. Every ball was torture, the Afternoon teas were my worst nightmare, it was obvious to everyone that this was not my place, it all started slowly, pinches when I was a little less charming than expected, slaps for minimally sharp answers, over time things escalated and my father took over my punishments, that's when everything got worse, but the peak was last Christmas, I asked Asty to lie to mom and say that I would spend the winter break at her house, when in fact I went to spend it with the Weasleys, Harry and Mione; by a stroke of bad luck that I didn't think was possible since my mother and Mrs. Greengrass hate each other, they ended up meeting in Diagon Alley and Mom wanted to know how I was, probably wanting to know if I wasn't tarnishing the family name, long story short... my mother found out that I wasn't with the Greengrasses, she spent the whole damn rest of the year pretending nothing had happened until I got home, my father beat me until I was unconscious since I refused to tell him where and who I had been with, he kept beating me until night fell, in the end the poor bastard got tired and by the end of the morning he had already used cruciates on me three times, do you know the funniest part? My mother asked him to stop because otherwise I would have the same end as Neville's parents, according to her good families don't arrange marriages with crazy girls who don't even know who they are."
Malfoy stared at me intently as I spoke, not saying a single word until I finished, despite that the hatred burned visibly in his eyes."All this to protect Scar, the blood traitors and that blood..."
"YOU WILL NOT USE THAT MEDIOCRE TERM IN FRONT OF ME, UNDERSTAND?", I completely lost my mind when I heard him call Hermione that way, without even thinking I abruptly approached Draco, pinning him to the wall. "I would give my own life to save my friends, but this situation is not just about them, every punch, every kick and every curse I endured that day was in the name of what I believe in, I had to take a potion to replenish blood, you know? And after that I was unconscious for three days, but the first thing I thought when I woke up was that my family was safe, that I would fight with every piece of me so that a day would come when Hermione would not feel pressured to be the best and prove herself to us idiots, so that Ginny could sleep in peace knowing that the person responsible for stealing her innocence would never hurt her again, I would fight for a world where Harry could rest and enjoy the life his mother died for, know that I will fight for this world Draco, I will fight and give my own life if necessary so that Tom Riddle is taken down; at the next Death Eater meeting tell my father that he can tattoo the Dark Mark on his ass and that I will never again set foot in that filthy place they call from home, of legal age or not."
"I... how did you know about the mark?!", he asks, confusion giving way to the hatred that burned in his eyes a few minutes ago.
"I was raised with you, as much as I hate it, I know you more than I know myself, as much as a part of me detests you, there is something in me that always connects me to you and I hate it, but I swear to Merlin that I will put an end to this, I will tear you away from me once and for all", I declare, looking deep into his icy but painfully familiar eyes, even with hatred and my previous statement I feel ridiculous for being attracted to him.
"In the end, we're both liars, aren't we? We pretend to hate each other when we both know it's the complete opposite, or do you think I've never noticed what happens when I touch you? I hope you've at least noticed the way I look when you look at me.", he says, getting closer to me, to the point where I can feel his breath on my face, I can feel his lips close to mine and the strong beating of his heart, this mixture and the intoxicating scent of his perfume leave me speechless, but I manage to compose myself and say:
"In the end, it doesn't matter, Malfoy, you made your choice and I made mine, we were both born destined for disaster, we'll never work out and we know it, you're ingrained in me like an incurable disease, but I'll learn to live with it, I really hope you change your mind before it's too late, but until then, please forget I exist if any part of you really loves me."
Without anything else to say, I leave the room, leaving him stunned and alone. I can feel his heat still clinging to my body, but I leave without looking back.

Remus Lupin x reader
(Use of y/n, no warnings)
Content: y/n and Remus meet in the Hogwarts kitchen on a sleepless night and share their views of the world and a cup of hot chocolate
Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝕋ℍ𝔼 buttery sunlight brought an ethereal glow to her face, everything about her seemed so; they said that things like true love were nothing more than fairy tales, made more to deceive than comfort the heartbroken foolish, Remus Lupin tended to agree with such statements, at least until he met her...
It was another first of September, being a second year, this day had become a little less mystical after all, having gone through the experience of being sorted into a house and a year of seemingly endless homework and tests, the first time at Hogwarts no longer seemed so magical; not that he found the castle and everyday life in general to be in any way boring, the boy knew that even if he lived a thousand years he would not know every one of the enchanting and mysterious surprises and adventures that the ancient school had to offer, he just thought that the sorting ceremony was no longer that interesting after having already been through it.
That was when she entered the doors of the great hall along with the other first-year students, looking so adorably dazzled by everything around her, the girl eagerly drank in every detail of the place, with so much enchantment in her eyes that Lupin couldn't help but want to see the world through her eyes, in some inexplicable way, despite his young age he knew that now his life would be divided between before and after that day, every other major event in his life, no matter how important it was, would never surpass the day he saw s/n for the first time...
Back to the present, Remus Lupin was sitting in the library, in theory he should be doing his potions homework, but anyway Sirius and James wouldn't stop talking about tactics for the next match against Slytherin, so there wasn't much he could do other than observe y/n, who was sitting with Lily at one of the tables near the window, the two had become friends, and even with the age difference they seemed attached at the hip.
—My dear Moony, although we know how interesting it is to observe our dear y/n, it would really be good if you helped me and Prongs here to think—said Sirius trying to get his friend's attention.
—It's not like I'm part of the team, my dear friend Pads, my support is limited to cheering for you two from the stands.
—Actually, even at that you're kind of bad, Moony, no offense, but Peter doesn't look like he's come face to face with a Basilic in every match—interjected James wanting to make fun of his friend-I bet you get irritated thinking that you could be spending that time chasing y/n in the library, you spend so much time in this place that I honestly think you'll end up getting married right here, for Merlin's sake!
—James is right about that, and I'll say more, you should stop being a coward and ask the girl out to dinner before someone gets in front of you. I heard that Amos Diggory has a crush on her, and even invited her to the next weekend in Hogsmeade.
—You can't be serious,” Moony snorted.
—And I'm not, but that's what's going to happen if you don't get the courage to ask a girl out soon. Besides, if someone finds out that you don't have the courage to ask a girl out, you might as well be expelled from Gryffindor, the courage thing and all that...,” Sirius teased.
—That's true, and it wouldn't be nice not to have your lessons to copy, a change of house would mess up the scheme of things,” James added in a tone of feigned concern.
—I definitely hate you two, now let's go because we still have to put our books away before dinner, since the two dolls always take a long time to fix their hair and we're always late and end up with the worst seats.
Despite knowing that what Sirius had said was nothing more than provocation, Remus found himself lost in thought throughout dinner. If any of his friends had noticed anything, they had miraculously not commented on it. Knowing him very well, they knew when Lupin really shouldn't be disturbed.
Having been consumed by the internal battle between his insecurity and the growing feelings he had for y/n for the rest of the night, Remus decided to go in search of a cup of hot chocolate after everyone went to sleep. He knew that the silence of the night and the comforting warmth of the drink would help him get his head together, or at least make his incessant thoughts a little more manageable. Armed with the Marauder's Map and the cloak he had stolen from Prongs, he made his way to the castle's kitchen, taking advantage of the moment of calm that only the night could bring to the chaotic building.
The walk was uneventful, the boy was finishing closing the door he had passed through when he noticed her, she was wearing a pink, fluffy robe that matched the purple slippers she had on her feet covered by blue socks, Remus had never seen anything so adorable in his entire life and he couldn't help but stare at her for five long, awkward seconds; if she was surprised or even annoyed by the interruption, the girl didn't show it, she simply gave an amused smile and said:
—Can't sleep either, Lupin? Before she could add anything else, the Gryffindor couldn't help but interrupt her:
—Do you know my name?!-she asked in a tone divided between a little scream and an embarrassed whisper.
— I don't think there's anyone in this castle who doesn't know the infamous Marauders, you're quite famous - the girl commented in a friendly teasing tone - besides, I'm friends with Lily, because of Potter you're a fairly common topic, but you can rest assured that you're definitely her favorite Marauder, and mine too if you want to know, although I think Black is cute.
— We both know it's only a matter of time before those two get together - the boy replied and then walked over to the table where y/n was sitting - Can I?
— Of course, we insomniacs need to help each other - he said, patting her gently, indicating the seat next to her I'll make you some hot chocolate.
While Remus settled into the bench, y/n stood up, and while preparing the drink she asked calmly, with the teasing tone already gone from her voice:
— So, what made you come to the Hogwarts kitchen at a time like this?
—Internal conflicts, they suck if you ask me - says the boy, using his mischievous side to disguise how vulnerable he felt when sharing a lost moment at two in the morning in a dimly lit kitchen with the girl he was foolishly in love with.
—Cinnamon?- the girl asks, finishing the drinks after a positive nod from the boy.
—Thank you very much for the drink - says Lupin as y/n slides the hot chocolate towards him - I'm sure it's delicious.
—I really hope so, it's the only thing I know how to do in the kitchen - she answers with a weak laugh and a shrug, and sits next to Remus.
Both teenagers drank in comfortable silence, the only sound being the rustling of the embers in the fireplace. Despite the lack of words, the feeling of contentment and peace took over the young people. It was a welcome break from the extremely chaotic routine that reigned at Hogwarts. If Remus Lupin were asked, he would deny it to his death, but the reality is that he was blatantly staring at y/n while she looked at the fire with that enchantment that never left her gaze. The light danced in the girl's eyes, throwing the boy into a state that bordered on hypnosis.
—Is there something on my face?— the girl asked, running her hand over it, trying to remove a nonexistent dirt.
The question seemed to shake Lupin out of his stupor. With a shy smile, but moved by sudden courage, he answered:
—Actually, there's nothing wrong with that. I just... I keep thinking about the way you look at the world around you. Ever since I first saw you, I couldn't help but notice how everything seems dazzling in your eyes. There's something about them that I can't understand, much less explain.
—Well, a wise man once said that we should find everything we can beautiful. Most people never see enough beauty. I know there's a war lurking behind the walls of this castle, a darkness that unfortunately won't go away on its own. And don't even talk to me about the injustice that plagues this world that God has forgotten. It drives me crazy... but if we can't find a little light in the midst of all this vastness of despair, what will become of us? I believe that since everything is lost, since greed has taken over everything, there's no point in looking for even the slightest comfort, looking for something that brings hope? We are a lost generation Remus, cursed I would say, but I truly believe in a future where children are free and where prejudice and hatred do not dominate us, but until then what we can do is seek in hope the strength necessary to build that future, if not for ourselves, for those who come after.
