I just went upstairs to pick Delilah Green Doesn't Care from my shelf to go read outside, I passed the window and the primary school right next to my house was absolutely blasting Pink Pony Club by Chapell Roan. This feels like the stars aligning or something.

I don't know if anyone in the STF fandom would have read Malice (A sapphic, dark retelling of Sleeping Beauty by Heather Walter if the name doesn't ring bells) but for the potential of at least one person understanding me

Alyce and Cedric WOULD UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER.
Both of them were rundown and treated like absolute hell, Alyce for her being a Vila/The Dark Grace, Cedric for The Incident and his reputation of being a failer.
Both of them had good in their hearts but still went down the path of evil, both had that one person they hold to their heart that sees them differently from everyone else. Alyce with her romantic relationship with Princess Aurora, and Cedric with his platonic/familial relationship with Princess Sofia. And both of them are fiercely protective over that person.
And both of them dealt with betrayal of a family, or someone who was like a family member.
This is a considerably smaller detailer, but hair plays a part in both of them, in their own way. Whilst Cedric's is a permanent mark of The Incident, Alyce's is often described in the way of her kind, of her being unattractive and disgusting.
I've yet to read Misrule, only finished Malice tonight, but I'll reblog with any more parallels I find!
#Also the cover I put here is the cover here in the UK#You may be more familiar with the one of two hands binded together holding a rose#Also they both have bird companions. Though Callow is thousands of times better than Wormwood#Jokes aside I enjoyed this book so much and I can't wait to delve into the second. I truly don't want to leave this world#sofia the first#sofia the fandom#stf#cedric the sorcerer#cedric the great#cedric the sensational#cedric sofia the first

Spoilers for the ending of Malice by Heather Walter.
There's something so beautiful to me about Alyce building Aurora a bed with her magic, one designed to protect her and slice open anyone who dares to try and reach her during her cursed rest.
The fact that something so gorey and violent, is tender, loving and protective at it's core. And the fact she does it before massacring half of Briar. She knew the blood that would shed, the violence she'd inflict, and made sure Aurora was secured and safely tucked away before she began. Her morals might be falling rapidly, but her love for Aurora will always stay bright.
And the fact she's kept safe in the place that has such importance to them, where their journey of breaking her curse sparked, where they had their first time together. Alyce made it they're little haven. While I haven't started Misrule yet I'm sure Alyce will take to the library to rest.
#Just finished Malice and...oh my god#Absolutely gorgeous book. I can't wait to start Misrule#Malice

I've been watching Suicide Squad Isekai recently (Haven't finished it yet, so if this post goes down hill with future episodes...) and the relationship between Cecil (Commanding Knight) and Princes Fione is starting to feel reminiscent of a relationship between older Sofia and Cedric.
He also seems to have somewhat helped raised her, with a scene of him calling for her when she went out to the village to spend time with her friends there, and he afterwards tried to lie to the Queen so Fione wouldn't be punished.
The way he talks about Fione, like he's praising his own daughter or niece, and completely flips out when Harley disrespects her really feels like how Cedric would react to those same words.
The first scene feels like a scene for them all on it's own, Sofia being stuck in a bad memory, Cedric breaking her out and being assuring with her. I could see older Sofia wanting to be involved in the protection of the kingdom and it's potential threats, like how Fione wants to know about the war.
And, Cecil is seen as the Saviour of the kingdom, just as Cedric probably is after the finale.
#Combining two interests to post here again💜#Alas the fixation gods are putting everything but STF in front of me#sofia the first#sofia the fandom#stf#cedric the sorcerer#cedric the great#princess sofia#cedric the sensational#cedric sofia the first#sofia balthazar

Everything been ok?
Yes, thank you:) I've been fixated on some other things over the past few months (And it's a book genre, so endless fuel for fixation:)
I do want to try and get my head back with STF some more soon though! Especially since there's a few STF projects I wanted to get done:)
Hope you've been okay as well, Shy💜

Genuinely considering watching the whole gameplay of Fire Emblem Awakening for little child me. (Little child me had no idea who Lucina was or what game she was from but had a MASSIVE crush on her in Smash Bros.)
#Don't know anything about the game other than the fact she's so pretty#Call it healing your inner child#But it's showing your inner child the source material of a character they unknowingly had a massive gay crush on.#Moony's words

This is for the people who didn’t party in their teens and twenties. For the people who didn’t have that “coming of age” movie experience with shenanigans and revelations. This is for the people who mostly keep to themselves. Who maybe prefer things to be quieter and gentler. This is for the people who don’t feel like they belong in a culture that values loud parties and flashing lights. I see you. And you are valid.
