Your rendering bangs, do you have any tips or inspirations for it?
Thanks! I've never considered render to be my strong suit, so not sure how helpful i can be. Generally i try to layer textured brushstrokes on top of each other to create some visual interest, sorta like in gouache painting. I use a lot of tips from the traditional academic art (like using a bright colored underpainting, so that when you go over it with a fuckass brush it slightly shows through) i also like to use brushes that move stuff drawn underneath (on the same layer) so when i draw with one color on top of previous it mixes, instead of just layering. So, like in academic, the underpainting goes on a separate layer so its color stays unaffected, while the stuff on top gets mixed together, building and sculpting form.
So yeah i take a lot of inspo from traditional art (look up J. C. Leyendecker btw his style of painting rocks)
I remember somebody asked for a speedpaint, so i'll toss that in as well🙂↕️✌️ (well the procreate half of it)
