Someone has to to clean up after GLaDOS. I'm only too happy to do it. My name is Mortimer Andrasko. You can call me Morbid if you wish--most people do. I analyze the deceased, organic or not, and make sure they are properly and respectfully put to rest. Over the years, I've served as a make-shift doctor, as well. As horrible as my appearance seems to be, I assure you, I'm more afraid of you than you are of me. Magic Anon: None to speak of. ((OC blog for the Morbidity Core, based off of Valve's Portal series. This is a side blog, so I can't follow you back. If you want to contact me, visit angercore.tumblr.com/))

"Thank you, Mortimer." Teensy, tiny, baby smile. "You are a saint."
“Aha... You’re welcome. I’m not sure I can do anything about it.” He admitted.
“Please tell the family I said hello.”

"I just feel awful for causing this." Good job, Logic. "Even if he will not acknowledge me, nor act kindly, it would be appreciated if you could pass on my apology. Not that it means much at this point, but at least he will listen to you."
Tumblr media
“I can certainly try. Not... Sure how well it’ll go, though.” He admitted.
“I’ll talk to him.”

".. oh." Well, didn't he feel awful. The bridge of his nose got a nice massaging and he leaned back in his seat. "Then, I cannot blame him for being so upset. Nor you, if you are. No, of course you are." Now the forehead! He was half tempted to sell his 'intelligence' title. "I should have known to dig more when he asked if I had seen her, but I did not want to test Her patience through more questioning.. but I should not be excusing it. I would apologize, but he certainly would not accept it."
“That is what I think.” He nodded.
“I can see what I can do to have him at least acknowledge your existence, as opposed to ignoring you. I can’t say that he’ll be kind to you, however...”

"Then I really do need to put more of an effort towards visiting. I do have an overabundance of cheesecake recipes I can share." Don't say yes, he'll bring one of each. Over a course of months. "I have a bad tendency to overlook the wrongdoings I seem to commit, so I am afraid I am in the dark about the issue. I was hoping you could enlighten me and, perhaps, help me to patch things up." There's a grump! "If they can be, that is."
“Ah, well...”
Morbid himself was fairly angry at Cecil for a while, until he reached a logical conclusion about the turn of events.
“When Lydia went missing some time ago with no sign of her, he was extremely upset that neither you nor your husband helped him. Even after he went through a fair bit of trouble fixing Neil.” He went to explain.
“He’s been horribly angry ever since, and distrustful of others. I... Can’t guarantee that I can help you make amends. I’ll see what I can do on the matter.”

"It is good to see you, as well. My apologies for not visiting more often." Aw, Morbid's good moods were always infectious. Hard to be grumpy about Frick with that attitude. "I have come to ask you something about Craig, if that is alright."
“It’s alright, I’m used to it.” He chuckled, offering a seat.
“Yes, I’m... Well aware of the rift between the two of you. I’m sorry about it. He’s been a hermit for a bit now.” Morbid sighed.

Knock knock knock~ Only one android could have such polite knocking skills!
The door opened! Morbid looked up from his book.
“Oh! Hello, Cecil.”
Tumblr media
“It’s good to see you again.”

"Everyone will adjust, it will take time. And I only wish for the best." She peeked at the bird a few more times in between thoughts, "I do need your assistance in contacting that man, if it would be possible. I very much would like to meet with him." Already knows it might not be the most enjoyable conversation, but she has to make it work.
“Hm...”
He put the bird to the side, thinking.“I could, perhaps, ask him to come here. I think he would honor my request. Otherwise, I don’t see how else you would reach him, besides my husband. They’re on better terms than Claude and I.”

Slight sign of relief, "I am glad you agree. It is hard to find support for something as little, and so needed, as this is. The test subjects will also see that this is a good thing. They only need to allow themselves to become open to the idea that I will not kill them repeatedly." It's the little things in life really.
“That... Will need getting used to.” Morbid admitted.
“I hope you mean well in your endeavor. And, don’t get too over-zealous, either.”

"Preventive measures. The facility functions well without unnecessary violence. I want to ensure this time of calm remains. You, do agree, yes?" she has been wondering where he stood, even though she hasn't quite fully disclosed her intentions. But peace, is worth any price, right?
“If what you’re saying is genuine, then I am absolutely on board.”
Tumblr media
“Personally, I think it would be a wonderful change of pace. Have you treated the test subjects as such?”

"Ah, him." is a little let down at that news, but has a goal. "I wonder if he can be persuaded."
“I don’t think it’s impossible... Though I am curious as to why you want such information.”
He stopped focusing on the tiny skeleton to instead shift full attention to GLaDOS.

"That does explain some things." Looks more interested! "May I ask if you know the coding for that type of programming? Or, who might?"
He let out a sound of contemplation.
“Claude might. Though I doubt you would get more than a few nasty words out of him.”

Nods a bit in acknowledgment, "Are you programmed to be like you are? In a sense."
“I am. It’s... a long story.” He mumbled.
“Simply put, I hurt someone when I didn’t mean to do so. As my father put it, I ‘didn’t know my own strength.’ After the incident that followed, he installed an anti-violence program on me. I’ve had it up until I was reconstructed in Craig’s facility. Now my protocols are defensive--I must be attacked before any counter-measure can be instituted.”

"I had imagined they would have enjoyed the new found quietness. Even one of the test subjects disapprove." Finally snaps out of her bird watching, "Do you find it difficult for others to deal with your non-violent nature?"
“Absolutely not.” He answered.
“Though, I suppose I truly can’t say. I know my father prefers it this way. I don’t think Craig has an opinion on the matter at all. Though I could see where there would be issue with non-violence in your sector from the more hostile AI.”

"I think I prefer them as this then stuffed." much less threatening in her eyes. "And I do not have much to update you on, though I can say that my corruption is lower than it has been in ages." continues on while fixated on the specimen, "Others are not taking that change well. I cannot win."
“Is that so? I would have thought your AIs would consider it a blessing.” He pondered, beginning on a wing.“Congratulations on the low corruption, I must say.”

Carefully does sits, minding the table, "Where did you find this one?" One less bird is a very nice thing to see.
“Polyphemus brought it in.” He answered.
“I thought I would make some use out of it. It had too many injuries to just stuff it, so...”
There! Tail-feathers were done!
“And what has been going on with you as of late?”

Took her a moment after stepping in to say anything, she was a little intrigued and disturbed by the skeleton, "Yes, but I also wanted to visit purely for casual purposes as of late." It had been a while, after all, and now that she's much more calm, it would make sense.
“Ah?”
That intrigued him. He turned to look at her.
“Have a seat. Just, don’t bump the table, please.”

Did he take notice she was wandering his halls? If not, the knocking on the door should do just as well.
The knock was acknowledged, and the doors to the morgue opened. Morbid was currently putting together the skeleton of a bird in flight. Pretty, in a macabre way.
“Good evening, GLaDOS. Can I help you?”
