Today was Tobey’s 5th birthday, so yesterday his Mum told him that he could choose breakfast for the whole family in honour of his special day.

Tobey went away to give such an important decision the in depth consideration it deserved. An hour later he return. ‘Mum I’ve decided to make everyone eat dog food for breakfast’ he declared.

He had clearly decided that it was more important to force his brothers to eat dog food then for him to have something delicious. God help us all if he is ever in a position of power when he is an adult……

My friend Ti decided that he wanted to make a video of my mates, him and I and the adventures we get up to over the summer. When it's complete it will actually be from 2 summers because we couldn't leave out some of last years pure gold footage. The video will include all kinds of adventurous fun like slide n slides, surfing, motor bike stacks and more. All shot on our GoPro's cause that's the only way to make extreme sport videos these days. Also because it makes us look much cooler then we actually are..................... kidding we are awesome.

I definitely wanted to be apart of this and started editing some of the footage I had to see if I was cool enough to assist. This is what I came up with including a massive time wasting intro (sorry about that). It's the first time I have attempted to make anything like this and I actually think I did a pretty cool job. I can not wait till we start putting together our full crew video which will have far less me and more crew.

So Starring Davo most famous in this film for his camera, head shaking and hand waving skills and Ti with his glorious Mo and weird selfie session with the camera. Watch out for these guys in later videos.

I would love to say that I did all the work in this photo buuuuuut I would definitely be fibbing. The photo is of my mate and I whilst surfing at Majimba Beach on the Sunshine Coast a few weeks back. I simply turned time lapse on my GoPro when we were surfing and found this bad boy in the photos when we got home. Then my friend did all the editing to make us look like super rad surfers. None the less it's still one of my favorite photos.

Justin Vernon has a simply incredible voice, but what I love most is the passion in his voice and lyrics in all his music. We all know “Skinny Love” and I’m sure any Bon Iver fan has heard this cover of “I can’t make you love me/ Nick of Time” but for those who haven’t you have to give this listen. Now I can’t claim that I had heard the original version of this song by Bonnie Raitt in 1990 before I heard Vernons version. So maybe my opinion is skewed but this is one of those rare occasions when I think the cover is better. Bon Iver getting one back I think after so many people thinking Birdie wrote Skinny Love. Please people her version is good but doesn’t compare. Currently right up there on my most played list you have to give this one a listen.

First ever taste of a barrel On a surf board. I did get smashed straight after this. Let's not talk about that though. This was also the first time I had my gopro mounted to the front of my board. Opened up a whole world of excitement for me.
