There was no point in talking about the way that he felt. If things had changed, and she decided she wanted to be with him, she would have told him, which she didnât, so he knew that they were the same as when he told her how he felt, so what was even the point? If anything talking about it, would just make him sad, so he preferred to ignore his feelings. It wasnât an easy task, and there were moments that still hurt to look at her, but speaking about it, wouldnât help anything, âUntil thatâs fixed, you two could stay with me and Bowie, I would have to talk to him, but I feel like he probably wouldnât mind,â it would also be a good excuse to spend more time with Morgan, which was an opportunity that he would always take, âHm, not really, I will probably just enjoy the pool and the beach.â
Sitting and not having to worry about anything was one of the many things she planned for Spring Break. She stretched out her arms before leaning back on her wrists, smiling up at his suggestion. âAre you sure? I wouldnât want to just barge in on the two of you.â The Villas were pretty spacey for two people, but that could easily change when you upgrade to four. Surely sheâd be able to handle the heat for an extra day, though she couldnât guarantee itâd be pleasant. âThat sounds like the perfect way to relax Rich, I might have to steal some of that idea and live in the pool until the air is fixed.â

Word is they are a REGULAR student who is AGAINST The Unhinged. You should watch out because they can be IMPATIENT and GUARDED, but on the bright side they can also be OBSERVANT and AMBITIOUS. Ultimately, youâll get to see it all for yourself.

BROTHER: Cristiano Reyes ( 20 )
HISTORY
Growing up she had a pretty standard upbringing. parents that treated her like a princess and a brother sheâd try to keep out of trouble. Pinky promises were a way of life in the Reyes' household, the moment a pinky was extended Morgan knew that it was important and no lies would be spoken.
When she was younger she never understood why her parents were fighting all the time, her father was constantly taking taking off for work, bringing them presents after business trips, but after too many frequent business trips, it finally clicked.
One day during Elementary school she decided to skip, coming home to find her father with another woman, no one knew she was there but her motherâs anger now made sense. It had been happening for years and she was fighting to keep it hidden from her children. She could only trust one person to keep the secret, pinky promise attached, Cristiano, and they both swore theyâd never let their parents be aware that they knew.
Lucia tried to keep the family whole for as long as possible until Victor ultimately ended up filing for divorce to her could date his newest secretary (A short lived relationship that led to Victor moving out and buying his own private apartment.) Morganâs mother was forced to pick up more shifts, overnights, anything so the three of them wouldnât have to suffer while their father continued traveling the country for âbusiness.â
Victor still pops back in town every now in then handing out empty promises of taking the kids out to dinner, though 3 out of 5 times he blows them off and attempts to bribe them with a swipe of a black amex. Sadly thatâs the only time he throws around his money for anyone other than himself. Morgan tries to see a light in him, getting a better side to her father when he actually commits to being a parent but after years of the same routine sheâs aware heâll disappear at a moments notice for a pretty face.
The divorce was finalized the year before she started her freshman year or high school at Luxor. She met a boy when she was 14 and thought she was in love, she didnât need anyone else in her life. It was a good distraction to all of the things going on at home until it wasnât and things desperately went wrong. (TW: ABUSE) The boy started realizing that she was getting other male attention, gaining friendships easily with boys that happened to be in the same extracurriculars. He forced her to alienate from her friends, made her think it was her fault that all of this was happening and that sheâd be alone without him. He was willing to do anything in his power to make sure that she was just his. The situation continued to get worse, he put his hands on her, causing Morgan have to hide the bruises around her wrists, down her arms to avoid all possible questions. Makeup became her safe haven and she stopped doing the one thing she loved the most, singing. This continued for months until finally her brother found out, witnessing a single interact when Brandon figured they were shielded by the safety of a secluded stairwell. Cristiano told their parents and they decided the best situation was to pick up everything and move away from the problem, sending them on a journey from Los Angeles to New York.
The transfer left the rest of her freshman year in the dark, not really speak much, blending in when she could but she met Christopher and felt like she could start to be herself again.
She started coming out of her shell when she picked up a camera sophomore year, finding a love in capturing emotions with a single snap. She found a courage to sing along again until ultimately she was convinced to try out for choir.
Flash forward to university Morgan was happy to continue her studies in Luxor and get the chance to attend the same college as her older brother.
NOTABLE FACTS
Due to the abuse she suffered she resorted to cutting her thigh and once her mother found out she allowed a tattoo to cover them up.
Her father taught her how to play poker at the age of 7 and sheâs been able to master her poker face.
Singing is the main thing she uses to express her feelings, she doesnât feel like regular words are as effective.
Sheâs pretty guarded though at first glance she does her best to maintain her true bubbly persona.
Sheâs known to put walls up and push people away when things start to get too serious, for fear that theyâll end up being like her father or worseâŠlike her ex. she likes when she can keep things casual, casual brings on less pressure. less attachment.
LUXOR FACTS
One of Luxorâs Prom Queen Winners
During Prom Night she was barely able to celebrate because it was revealed that she stashed drugs in her ex boyfriendâs locker to get him expelled before moving away.
During her high school years her good friend Christopher Barnes told her that sheâd make an amazing lawyer one day and although at the time she didnât really believe it herself still she found herself applying for the Pre-Law program. He made her really confident in herself and her abilities and now sheâs really looking forward to dipping her feet into this career and seeing what she can make out of it.
Christopher ran off without warning or explanation and Morgan often thinks about his disappearance and why he decided to leave.
She ended up meeting Richard Smith during her later high school years, really connecting with the quietness in him until he ultimately became her best friend.Â
Richard once disappeared without warning, an attempt to protect himself which was a fact learned later, but it was too late. Morgan was left behind with trust issues and thoughts of the people she cared about always leaving. This resulted in her being more closeted with her feelings, hesitant to show her true emotions in fear of it happening again.
TATTOOS
Has to build a home written on her ribs, HERE.

âKind of, yeah. Especially when there is these sorts of battles for a place on their like ruling council, so the Game of Thrones reference really works there,â Kenzie said with a nod. âYou can borrow the books if you want to read them. Itâs like such a trashy read that you go through them so fast, even though they are huge,â she explained with a grin. âRight? Like dinosaurs would be such a close relative of dragons.â
âGame of Thrones was one of my favorite series, I might just have to take you up on this recommendation Kenz.â Morgan said with a smile before giving her a nod. âIâll have to come by your room and get the first one, we can go from there. Nothing like an addicting trashy read, those tend to be the most fun.â She continued. âTheyâve got to be close relatives, if you ask me some form of dragon had to be real. Itâs got to be based off something, you know?â

âItâs a series called Crave by Tracy Wolff. It has major Twilight vibes and vampires and witches and stuff, but it also has the dragons and gargoyles and itâs so addictive! I havenât been able to put it down,â she explained, showing Morgan the book. âIn the book, she is only made of stone when she has her wings out, so not all the time. She also has cute little horns. Apparently it makes it a little harder to run and fly when sheâs stone, but it also means things canât hurt her either. Too tough,â she added. âYes! Dragons existed!â
âSo itâs Twilight meets Game of Thrones mixed with Teen Wolf?â Morgan questioned with a laugh. âIâve never heard of it, but from youâre telling me it seems like a really fun read. Iâd almost hate to be a gargoyle and miss out on the chance of flying around.â She continued softly before offering her a smile. âDragons are shaped almost like pterodactyls, that canât be a coincidence.âÂ

âLucky you,â Nate muttered, thinking of his own matches. Not that he had truly negative opinions about any of them, it was justâŠbizarre how it had worked out. âYeah, nah. I donât think we need to ignore it, but also not about to make it something itâs not,â he continued bluntly, the slightest scrunch appearing on his nose before he shrugged again, his face straightening back to neutral. âWhat do you even mean, putting fate in it? Did I miss some fine print where you have to take it seriously and itâs not just some randomized pairings?â he said, sincerely confused by the two drastic options Morgan seemed to want to decide between, a sudden concern that she was trying to use this to morph into a more serious discussion starting to nag in his mind.Â
âI take it didnât end the same for you?â A stupid questionnaire could only get someone so far after all, how would a soulmate be determined by a favorite date spot? There were more aspects that went into it, things that a silly piece of paper would undeniably be lacking, but she would of been lying if she said it didnât feel good to see a familiar name. âI say fate because with a name like Dream Date theyâre clearly putting a lot of shit in there to attempt to send that message.â She looked over at him with a laugh before shaking her head. âIt reminds me of one of those really awful reality theyâd play on repeat years ago, honestly I donât trust them with more than an entertainment value.â Having some sort of soulmate seemed like a lot of pressure in Morganâs mind, someone that she was supposed to give her heart away to when itâd already been tossed aside too many times. The brunette didnât want to dwell on it, just being able to hangout and laugh with someone was way more valuable.

âMaybe? Or,â she thought out loud, âdo you think itâs something we could fix? I hate calling out for the staff when it could just be a really simple fault,â Ruby admitted with a grimace. âI mean, I just worry theyâll hate me for kicking up a fuss..â                                      Â
âYou think so? I donât really have any practice will fixing air conditioning. Maybe YouTube could assist us?â Morgan questioned, looking back at her with a shrug of her shoulders. âWeâre only here for a little while, if we get desperate enough we can call and weâll be long gone before they start hating either of us.â

âI am doing what Iâd rather be doing Morgan.â she sighed. âOkay, what if I gave you an hour and we can do whatever it is you want. Will you promise to let me continue studying for the rest of the day?â she bargained with the girl.Â
She tilted her head as she thought over the proposal, giving the girl a smile before nodding. âI can agree to an hour, as long as I donât see any books in your hands youâll be free to study once Iâm out of your hair. I promise.â Morgan told her softly before holding out her arm. âBut the books go away now or the deals off.â

Closed starter for @morgcnreyesâ
It was nice to be able to hang out with Morgan. It was hard to be around her and not kiss her, but he also liked her company. She was one of his best friends before anything else, so he would always enjoy having her around, âAre you enjoying the spring break so far?â he was a little awkward around her, and honestly, he missed the way things were before he admitted how he felt, but it was also nice not to have to keep that a secret. He felt worse when he had to lie and pretend that he only saw her as a friend.
Morgan enjoyed sitting by Rich, getting the chance to hang out again now that most of the awkwardness had faded. They didnât talk too much about his feelings for her, but it was difficult to think about him that way when someone else had caught her eye. She cared about him almost more than anyone else, but that came with the territory of the two of them being best friends. Things didnât have to be weird between them if they didnât let it, but it was a little harder than expected to get into the rhythm of just a friendship. âThe only major complaint is my air conditioning not working as well as yours, itâs not fair.â She laughed. âBut Ruby and I are planning to get that sorted out, so I shouldnât have to suffer for long. What about you? Do you have any big plans while weâre here?â

@morgcnreyesâ
She had been quietly grateful to see Morgan as her roommate for the duration of the event. Sure, theyâd not talked much since the Valentineâs Day pairing, but Morgan had been nice enough - and Ruby was just grateful not to be roomed with someone who annoyed her. Right now, however, she had other priorities: mainly, lying on the couch, pushing her hair away from her face. âIs it just me or is it so hot? I swear the air con is doing the bare minimum. There must be an engineering fault.âÂ
It was nice to catch up with Ruby again, neither of them getting the chance until now after Valentineâs Day. The questionnaire got a few things right, though she was still unsure how accurate she could credit it, but they got along well and that was enough for her. âNow that you mention it, I thought the air condition wasnât really helping but thought I was imagining things.â She pushed her hair back, flattening it as she pulled all of it into a messy bun that rested on the top of her head. âDo you think we can call someone to come check it out? Weâre not going to survive an entire trip like this.â

lucent-lucaâ:
who: @morgcnreyesâ when: evening. where: private beach.
Luca was relatively accustomed to having Morgan around, though it was rare they found themselves without the company of their mutual friends. Still, there was so much they didnât know about her, besides his best friend being smitten with her. Luca could see traces of Rich in Morgan, a softness and a kindness they somehow mastered that Luca was certain he was incapable of. It was obvious Rich loved her, and it was only in Lucaâs nature to grow curious about the details his friend refused to share. Their group of friends slowly dwindled as the night continued, and then they had asked if sheâd ever smoked a Backwood. Luca laid flat on his beach towel, the blunt at his lips as they focused on the stars above them. They passed the blunt to Morgan, their elbow barely grazing hers. âWhat does happiness look like to you?â Luca inquired in an almost teasing tone. His eyes fell on her, debating how honest her answer would be. âWould you consider yourself happy?â he asked, his tone more serious than before.
Morgan found herself enjoying Lucaâs company, relaxing into the peacefulness between the two of them. They didnât get many opportunities to hang out alone, but the fact that they ran in similar social circles prevented them from being strangers. The night didnât start off the way but as time passed the group kept getting smaller until only they were left. The brunette wasnât in any rush to leave, the waves in the background providing music to her ears. Unsure of what a Backwood was, she took their word for it and figured Spring Break might be the best excuse to try something new. Slowly she took the blunt into her hands, only having smoked a handful of times leaving her away of each of her movements. She didnât want to look like a fool in front of him so taking her time seemed like the best course of action as she brought it to her lips. âI donât think you can be completely happy, if that makes sense?â She met his eyes, shrugging before taking a slow hit and passing it back. She paused briefly, exhaling the smoke in the opposite direction before during her attention back to them. âI think the key of it all is finding someone you can feel comfortable around enough to share your worries, doubts, and knowing that you have that can bring you happiness. Of course you can find happiness without someone else, but I think it makes it easier.â The drugs entering her system were bound to make her more chatty, she just hoped that Luca would be able to know where she was coming from. âTalk about getting deep...â She shrugged her shoulders. âParts of my life make me extremely happy, other things in play take it away...yeah, Iâd like to say I consider myself happy. Do you?â

Who: @luxorstartersâ When: first or second day on spring break Where: beachside, out of direct view
âI know weâre on spring break but I took mind early being gone a month. So go. Have fun. Call me if you get to wasted. Iâll be here catching up on my reading.â she smiled as she laid out in the sun, textbook in her lap. She went to start reading again. After a few moments of them still standing there she sighed. âyouâre not gonna let me study are you?â she asked.Â
âHonestly, I really admire your work ethic, but you said it yourself...itâs spring break not spring work.â Morgan knew the pun wasnât her greatest work, but she hoped itâd be enough to get her message across. She paused for a moment as the girl went back to her book, not moving until she looked back up. âNo, I canât in good nature let you waste all this time here on a book. Come on, isnât there something youâd rather be doing?â

âThis book has convinced me being a gargoyle would be even cooler than that old animated show made it seem,â Kenzie said, barely looking up from her book. âI mean she can heal people, fly⊠All sorts of cool stuff. But they also have dragons in this series and I canât be disloyal to my favorite species. Dragons are too awesome,â she added, sighing and leaning back. âDo you believe dragons existed at some point?â
âWhat are you reading?â Morgan asked with a laugh, looking to see if she could make out the cover. âThe powers seem could, but would being a gargoyle mean you were made of stone?â She questioned, leaning back in her chair as she thought over the brunetteâs question. âThere were flying dinosaurs once upon a time, whoâs to say that real dragons didnât make an appearance as well?â

nate-shawâ:
When Morgan had invited Nate over, he had - obviously - gone to her room. One, he was looking for any reason to not be in his room at any given moment, and two, he actually didnât completely hate spending time with Morgan. Which for Nate, was better than he expected with the majority of the students here. He was mostly quiet as she spoke, his eyes blinking towards her when she asked if she could ask him something, a slow raise of one of his eyebrowâs the only indication he gave of a confirmation. âYeah, nah, not really at all,â he said absentmindedly, tipping his head back up towards the ceiling, stretching out his long frame in the girlâs bed. âDonât really believe in soulmates or whatever,â Nate added, shrugging up his shoulders. He had glanced briefly at the results he had gotten, but considering all three of his pairs were people he already socialized with, he figured it was nothing more than a coincidence. Some nosy person paired up people they thought were friends already, like it was some bigger sense of kismet or whatever, when in reality, it was probably just bullshit. âYou donât believe in it, do you?â he asked after a moment, glancing towards Morgan again with a furrow appearing in his brow.Â
It was weird how she could feel so nervous yet so comfortable around a person, but she figured it all tied into having feelings for Nate. As much as she hated to admit it she could at least reason with herself that the anxiety of messing something up came with the territory. âNot completely.â She told him with a shrug. âWe get along so the results werenât too surprising, you made sense...but you were the only result I actually knew.â The test had to mean something, unless it was all a scam and whoever tallied them up just watched the students of Luxor to see who they talked to the most, but how would that explain Ruby? Numerous questions ran through Morganâs mind, but as her gaze settled on Nate so did her thoughts. âPutting the fate of your entire love life into the hands of some test sounds pretty extreme, maybe itâs better to ignore it?â
