I wish that the entirety of TSC by Cassandra Clare was more popular and well known. Don’t get me wrong, I know that it is an incredibly successful franchise and she has been hugely successful from them, but I hardly know anyone in my real life who loves those books like I do, or even know about them. Those who do know about the books only know it as “oh isn’t that that one series with the incest plot line?” and every time I hear that I want to SCREAAAAAAM because it’s SO much more than that and its so much more nuanced than that. sure it may be weird at times but I wish people could just see past surface level hate for it and give it a chance. These books are so lovely and well written, I just wish it got the same level of love as other series like ACOTAR or something. A series that also has weird ass moments sometimes but can still be well beloved.

I have come up with a better metaphor than “you can’t pour from an empty cup” for burnout. You can’t boil an empty kettle. Pouring from an empty cup just gets you nowhere. Trying to boil an empty kettle can ruin the kettle, the stove, and burn down your house if you keep trying it.

I have to make peace with the reality that the moment the last TWP book comes out I'll both celebrate and burst into tears

I know waiting for TWP is agonizingly hard, but just remember that one day we WILL get Kit and Ty sharing their first kiss. We WILL get them thinking about how beautiful and amazing the other is in BOTH of their POVs. We WILL get Kit being a big brother to Mina and Ty doing the same for Dru and Tavvy. We WILL get scenes of them being absolute legendary heroes in their own unique way (wether that’s old fashioned fighting or something else). We WILL get Dru being an absolute goddess while she saves the world. We WILL get to see her have best friend moments with Thais and fall in love with Ash. We WILL get to see her sibling relationship with Ty grow. We WILL see Ash finally realize that he’s more than who his parents are and the horrifying upbringing he’s had, realizing that it’s enough to just be Ash. We WILL get all of this and I just can’t wait, I know it’s going to be more than my heart can handle.

I don’t know, I just think that sometimes I talk and read about TWP so much that I forgot every now and then that we will actually get these books. That we will get all of these beautiful moments that we’ll all reread a million times because they’re just so agonizingly perfect. That realization just makes me happy in a way that’s hard to describe, honestly :)

Imagine Kit getting hurt and resting in one of the institute‘s bedrooms, because Ty doesn’t want him to wake up in the sterile infirmary. But while Kit is still unconscious and sleeping, Ty can‘t bear it to see him in this state and sleeps in front of his door (Lord of Shadows reference) to still be close to him and be there the moment he wakes.

maturing is realizing that Ty did love Kit so much but we didn’t know it because we didn’t get his POV, maybe Kit was the one describing Ty as an angel and stuff like that but Ty definitely showed more affection and showed that he did love him we were just blind, but Ty was definitely in love with him since LM and i can’t wait to get his POV
