Tumblr media
What is ‘ Wait & Load ‘?
A wait & load service is where the van or lorry will wait for an extended length of time to either load or unload the vehicle.
This is normally required when there is parking restrictions where items such as skips, pallets or loose loads that can’t not be left unattended.
A wait and load can range from a few minutes to how ever long it takes to get the job done, as long as it is safe and legal to park in the required area.
Who might need a wait and load service?
A wait and load service could be used by both domestic and commercial customers, from a simple waste collection from a home, a shop re-fit, removing roof materials or even a sports event.
If you don’t have space or want a skip and prefer a simple, stop, collect and gone service, then wait and load is perfect for you.
Wait and load
Our particular waste collection service is perfectly suited to wait and load service, where a skip is not possible due to permits, access or other problems our vans are great for parking up, loading and taking the waste away.
Our vans can carry around 1000KG and 24cub.ft so volume is around 2 x builders skips.
We have public and liability insurance plus waste carriers license which allows us to carry waste from site to recycling facility.
Recycling promise
Our aim is to find an outlet for your waste. All collections are taken to a waste transfer station where the waste is separated in to different types of waste and then dealt with according to their recycling properties.
Items such as metals, paper, cardboard, cables, wood, plastic are all easily recycled by the waste transfer station.
Are you licensed, registered and insured to carry out clearances?
Yes, we hold a current waste carriers license, also have public and employees liability insurance.
Morris Chesterfield LTD = CBDU252447

On the day of a clearance....
Blog - On the day of a house clearance
On the day of your house clearance there should be a procedure in place of how to clear the house and what is the best way to minimise stress and make it’s as simple as possible.
What happens to the contents of the house?
When we arrive at the property a full walk through is carried out and any items such as furniture and smalls that have a potential resale value are listed and delivered to a local auction house along with any smalls that could hold a re-sale value. Any other items which have a good re-use opportunity are taken to a local charity shop and then remaining items are taken to licensed waste transfer station where they are recycled. NO waste is taken to direct landfill.
We can arrange for an independent antique valuer to be on site while we clear your property, the valuer can then be on hand, if something is found that does have value.
Boxing small items
We shall tape our boxes and get them ready for filling.
We always treat a house clearance like a removal, we pack all the small items in boxes and stack them in the Luton van. We feel this ensures you get good value for money on recycling charges and minimises labour costs.
Dismantling large items
We always dismantle large pieces of furniture such as wardrobes, beds, bunk beds, desks etc. If the larger pipes will leave he property whole, then this is great and will cut down labour costs for you.
Dismantling furniture properly rather than smashing it is much more sympathetic and shows respect for both family and the property owner.
Do I need to be present while the clearance takes place?
Certainly not, a quality and trustworthy house clearance company will be able to easily clear the property without you being present. One of the hardest things to witness is the property being cleared and especially when you re-enter the house once it has been cleared. It is very emotional and hard to understand, unless you have been in a customers situation so we would never claim to ‘ know how it feels ‘. No other house clearance company should claim  to know how it feels, as every family is different.
Can you transport bequeathed furniture and boxes to family members?
Yes, we are part of Morris Removal and Storage which has over 12 year experience in the house removal sector and can easily transport furniture, boxes and garden items anywhere in the UK.
We can pack small items safely using professional packing materials, we can bubble wrap and prepare art work and easily move antique furniture anywhere in the UK.
We can slo move general furniture and objects, and we treat all items the same, with care and compassion.
Can you give us a house clearance quote over the phone?
Yes we can discuss your property an requirements over the telephone or email, but if your property is on the large side and you require extras such as packing, transport, cleaning and garden maintenance it would be advisable to book a survey and we can give you a more accurate house clearance quote.
How do we pay for the house clearance?
We understand that some house clearances will be paid via the estate, so payments are made via the solicitor but we can accept bacs, cash or cheque. A full VAT invoice, weight notes and waste transfer note will be given upon completion of the house clearance.
