i do feel inclined to mention that i do pull aspects from both the show & the graphic novels in my portrayal / writing of charles !!! for example, his death sequence is a little different in the novel. while i understand that putting in the entire part of the dead rising & therefore, charles ( who was the only living student at the school ay the time ) was forced to endure “bathing in ice cold water” & then getting burned on the stove and skewered by the dead bullies, could be hard to show in the flashback sequences & getting into too much of the backstory of it all … most of that is true for my portrayal. only difference for me, at least is that there were other living students, & whole sequence with edwin still holds true. charles did end up falling into delirium before dying in the attic, as the novel mentions. & death did come for him, but he asked to stay, & she left because he was being stubborn & she couldn’t wait around. but she did say she would be back for him, & that’s when he left with edwin.
