As you may know I'm Ukrainian. And Ukraine is being at war with Russia for 8 years. They invaded us, they annexed Crimea, they now declared so-called DNR and LNR "independent" right after sending in their troops to support "peace" (peace my a*s). The situation is getting worse.

I ask you simply to support Ukraine, share information, protest against Russia and donate to Ukrainian charities, such as Повернись Живим (here)

Sometimes I think the sims community is chill and other times I remember at least one person is ranting about sims poses as if they were the worst thing that could've happen to humanity... like... that's an awkward pose, I know, I get it... but also why is that the biggest problem of the game? Cause there definitely are waaaay more

Abusive girls exist and what they’re doing is seen as like “badass tough don’t take no shit” but your girl should not hit you. Ever.

She should not demand for you to hand over your phone to look through.

She should not yell at you and humiliate you either alone or in front of people.

She shouldn’t make you distance yourself from your friends or family.

She shouldn’t scratch you or twist your arms.

She should not call you names.

These are just a few examples of abuse and it’s just seen as okay when girls do it and god knows I’ve fallen victim to it a few times, but you shouldn’t have to.

Never worry about not being in a relationship. If they’re worth it, they won’t hurt you.

I'm not dead and I come here to rant. So, I use the sims as some sort of escapism, like, I like making sims, I like building, I like playing even with the lack of gameplay in ts4, and while I know mlst of the community is good and friendly and the best, I've got some really bad experiences on the past few days...

I'm not telling details because it happened in a personal account on a random forum and I don't want drama, just rant for the sake of my mental health.

The thing is that, I just said an unpopular opinion regarding ts4, small little thing, I even said it was something completely personal that shouln't have to affect anyone, YET people had the NERVE to call me out and say I'm defending EA (which I'm not) and even got my own opinion deleted. The moment some people agreed with me I got a notification it got deleted by the mods...

Now, I know that ts4 lacks many things and needs severe improvement, but at the same time, all I did was to speak about what I PERSONALLY like, A.K.A the way I play. I like supernaturals, I like making stories that are 100% fantasy, I very rarely play in normal hauseholds or make your average blue suburban/slick modern builds, I don't make the perfect good looking sim family thay gets millions of downloads on the gallery, I make sims that reflect what I like, things I write, things I draw, i recreate my stories because it's MY game and it doesn't affect anyone else.

I'm tired of people saying I shouldn't play how I want, that I can't like supernaturals, that I can't get exited over packs that can possibly add to them, like, I know all the aliens from the upcoming pack are from SW and are nothing but costumes but I still have idead on how to use said customes on my aliens, and honestly, people who got mad at me for liking something they didn't are the same who are willing to start pointless drama.

Even for cc, I use alpha, I know it hasn't been thay popular lately, so what? My game, use the cc I want, I use MaxisMatch at times but I mix it with alpha and people got mad because of it, seriously?

I'm tired of those people telling me that my game has to a "realistic, perfect white, nuclear family, suburban, dream savefile" If I want my sims to be weird, to be supernaturals, to live in a spaceship, a castle, a viking hut, to dress like pirates, to use unholy ammounts of cc and mods, then why should that be a bad thing? I know the sims needs family gameplay and realistic stuff, even if I don't play with those, but please...

JUST let me enjoy all the weird, stupid stuff that I like.

Not agaisnt the community, as 90% of the people are nice and would never to that, but some bad apples always manage to show up somewhere and I had enough bad luck to find them...
