Dream Address

I haven't posted in a while! Between the holidays and health issues, I haven't actually played since around Christmas...
I never fully finished my island for winter, but given we're now in February I've decided to bulldoze everything and start fresh for spring and summer. Before I do, I made a dream address of my island as it is, because I DID put a lot of time into it even if I never managed to finish!
There's a small bit of lag right of Resident's Services (another reason I want to start fresh) and the houses are NOT decorated (save for a kitchen in my main house).
Some items in front of RS, but no tools as every area i want accessible should be accessible ;)

I feel like with Animal Crossing & designing our islands it's almost impossible to not find and take inspiration from others! I appreciate everyone who not only shares their beautiful ideas but also openly encourages others to use them.
This Santa photo area was inspired by Zozecrossing on Twitter! This was perfect to fit into a little area I was struggling with and it let me do a neat little castle arch design along the path & river ♥️

While I didn't know what to do with the fish market area before the fish market, I DID know I wanted this back strip of land to be kinda like... idk, a back alley almost? There's not enough space to really work that but I like what I ended up with.
Marlo braves it without fear!

I forget what Yuka wanted specifically for her vacation home, but I decided she would be a jungle researcher

I could not figure out what to do with the little stretch of land outside of my town area and then I stumbled upon THIS hanging fish design code on pinterest! The code and their preview image for it inspired this little fish market area~

I've been working really hard to update Briar Glen for winter. I usually don't decorate for Christmas, but this year I really want to since I plan to flatten and redo everything in spring or summer (yes, I'm insane).
This is a very basic glimpse at my new entrance. Decided to go with something simple (I'll take better screenshots later)! The path to the right cuts in front of the museum, which I placed in front of Resident Services for some reason but I like it, and leads to Nook's Crossing. From there the path moves up into my little town area.
To the left, it basically hits the river but right at the end I've added a second character's house which will become an inn.

Fang, Boots, And Wendy's yards in the cul-de-sac.
Ken is also there but I don't know what to do with his yard and I plan to let him move out anyway, so for now it'll just be bare.
I usually find yards pretty difficult to put together and I'm not sure why!
Edit to mention I did change Wendy's house exterior to match the interior i remodeled for her. I think her original exterior is yellow?

It's taken me two weeks to work on this little shop/town area and it's not even finished! This is what I've managed so far.

My life right now is basically wake up late, work, spend time with my boyfriend, play animal crossing for a few hours way too late at night, sleep, rinse, repeat. I don't have much time to get my screenshots off my Switch and upload.
But anyway! Autumn is fading on Briar Glen and I'm really excited for winter. Also, Renee moved out and I managed to get Petri from someone 💙♥️
Freckles also moved out and I used some NMTs to island hop. i found Marlo within 11 tickets and absolutely had to invite him! I didn't realize you could find the new villagers on mystery islands 🖤

Eloise was the first villager I decorated a vacation home for, so I gave her home a makeover and turned it into a little public library 📚

My sister visited so I could give her some DIYs and a Ferris Wheel. All of her wand outfits have masks, so I'm glad she's taking this pandemic seriously 😂

I had to clear out my mailbox so I screenshot some of my favorite letters from my villagers. Looking back over them, they're honestly really uplifting and I didn't realize how much I needed to be told some of these things
