Ok I want book recommendations, trying to build a reading list

I like sci fi, horror, mystery, and non fiction

I like more down to earth sci fi rather than the sort of fantastical sci fi that you see a lot in the genre

For horror suggestions think things like the magnus archives

I just like mysteries

And finally for non fiction I like things on obscure topics, or non fiction told in interesting ways. So basically the more the book reads like someone’s hyperfixation info dump the better.

(Also please refrain from suggesting books with heavy romance, not to say I’m not ok with a romantic subplot, my favorite book is house of leaves which features a romance story prominently, but that’s not what I go to reading for)

You can also just recommend me some random book you really like and ignore everything I just said (please clarify though) I’m not afraid to branch out into other genres
