4 Things to do Everyday to Improve Your Life.
Almost a year ago, I lost my first business and all the profit in it due to some mistakes I made during that business. I became really desperate because I was not getting new jobs, and my new startup after that were failing as well. This desperate situation lead me to Reddit post which suggested to do these 4 things everyday first thing in the morning. And I would suggest you to do them as well because they are not just easy, but they also induce positive energy in your daily life. Here’s what I did and would really recommend doing so.
Make Your Bed
Yes, you read it right. Make your bed. It doesn’t matter if you are a couch potato who sits all day in his room on cot or in bed (which you possibly are if you are living in hostel or alone), just add this one smallest of the routine to your everyday life and see the magic. I assure you that most of you will see the magic on the same day. And that magic comes when you return to your bed for sleep.
Hint: Do this first thing in the morning for best results.
Exercise
By exercise I do not mean that you go lifting weights for hours. This simply means that you keep your muscles moving. Be it 20 minutes a day, but keep your muscles moving. Go out for a walk or jog, or do some crunches in your room, or may be do some jumping, but give your muscles some movement. What I am doing for past eight months or so is that I do incremental (one more every week than what I did in last week) crunches, planks and push-ups everyday. This has given me two positive powers. One, that I feel more energetic everyday than I was. Two, I feel like accomplishing something if there is no other productivity in the day.
Hint: Start with crunches in your room if you are shy person.
Create a log
Most people wonder why create a log. My verdict is that the feeling it gives can only be experienced not explained. Whether you do it everyday, every week or every month, but creating a log of what you have accomplished for the duration you choose gives you important insights about yourself. For the first few weeks maybe days, you will feel anxious, restless, and discomfort in your life because of the insight you are getting from yourself. This will also help you in your future planning. But later, you will learn the meaning of this by experiencing beyond that restlessness. I do this daily basis and I have more than 150 posts about my daily logs.
Hint: Create a blog on blogspot. It’s free of charge service and gives you a chance to earn few bucks using ads.
Read Something
If you are jobless or wondering what to do with your life, why not read something. There are two benefits of this. One, your mind will be occupied and away from negative thoughts. Two, you will gain some knowledge. I do this twice a day everyday. The sole reason that I have purchased a smartphone is that I love to read from my phone. Hilarious enough, my first book was of Theoretical Physics and trust me it is really dry book.
Hint: If unsure where to start, read the first book your eye lands on in your room. It doesn’t matter how dry that book is, just read it to the end.
  What is the end result in my life from this Reading?
I have started a new startup couple of months ago and am making enough again to provide for my family. My motivation and energy is always high due to my morning routine of making my bed and exercise. My logs keep me on track. And everyday reading has served as my main source of knowledge I have gained over these months.
Hence, I would highly recommend you to try these 4 rituals everyday to improve your life.
