I can imagine many things better than this.

Once again, Bink inspires me to "animate", so to say. I could so vividly imagine her talking sprites as she invites her friends to go watch Beetle Brawl with her... I just had to make them.

Anyway. Bugs love fighting. I think every bug order should have some sort of big fighting event. Like humans have boxing, sumo, wrestling... I'm sure beetle ladies enjoy those things.

Emergency commissions (sort of)

So, since a while ago, my pc started having some problems on start up and a few days ago it finally stopped working near entirely. Tech guy who checked it said it was a motherboard issue that simply happened because it's just too old (15+ so years).

So this forces me to try opening commissions earlier instead of waiting until next month as it was usual.

(Thankfully I got a laptop to do these, albeit borrowed.)

hey what if i hosted a little collab for bug fables OCs for everyone who wants to draw their characters in bugaria using some of the backdrops i made for the npc collab [these backdrops]. (there are a few areas that i didn't make the art for, so if we wanted to use those areas, i would need to ask if those artists would be cool with that, but ive got most areas covered. i don't think every area art needs to be used, but some of the better ones would be neat and useful, ya know?)

i would establish some requirements for the OC art to make sure that there's some consistency and won't be a loss of quality (eg. make the art at least 1000 pixels tall), but both digital and traditional art would be accepted, and i can help with processing if traditional artists need some help after taking the picture/scan. and i can put all the characters on the backdrops, unless someone else wants to help with that

Some drinks I made based on Bug Fables food.

Love it when games that aren't about cooking have cooking. Maybe I should look for fantasy cooking games. Maybe that would fix me.

Anyway, a little bit more about the drinks!

Honey'd Tea. Tea mixed with a drop of honey and served in Roseline's special tea set. Honey and tea go together wonderfully, clearing your mind, warming your soul and healing your body. The straw makes it easy for bugs like Roseline to consume it. Just make sure there are no leaf bits!

Burly Candy Drink. Berry juice mixed with crushed burly candy and then sprinkled with some more burly candy. The drink is bitter-sweet and refreshing, just the way Zabava likes it. The wideness of the glass makes it easy to consume for bugs like Zabava and the bits of candy make for a good after-crunch. You'll be ready to face anything with this!

Spicy Candy Drink. Spicy candy dissolved in berry juice, with chunks of spicy berries added later. Very bubbly. Very spicy. A total sensory overload. Something that Bink finds very enticing and something she simply cannot handle. Every time she orders it and every time she suffers. Alas, it's very tasty and energizing. Really packs a punch!

Been VERY into Hollow knight lately, curtesy of my brother who has been hyperfixating on it for ages now. It gotten to the level that I had to make hollow knight somas for my brothers and I out of some of our fave bugs :3

Mine is the moth, little bro is the shield bug(they hyperfixated one) and my other bro is the fly.

I love to make quests for my oc’s so Dandelion would ask the knight to escort them around green path to draw some bugs, Weed would be a mini boss and Moss would ask knight to collect rocks from a bunch of places. Once you complete all their quests, they’d meet up in dirt mouth and sit next to each other <3

Adir (HK OC)

Recently started playing Hollow Knight and my brother found the unofficial TTRPG- this is one of the characters I made for it!

Name: Adir (means strength- from beyond the name) Species: Firefly Age: 28 (human years) Gender: Male (he/they) Weapon: Hook Backstory // TW: Mentions of death

(Note that the TTRPG takes place in a fanmade world called Oakshade, not Hallownest) Adir once lived in a small village with his big brother and best friend (based on a diving beetle), and lived a relatively peaceful life until one day somebody with a grudge burned down the village in revenge for their own family. Both their brother and friend died in the fire and Adir barely escaped with a burnt wing, now unable to fly. He swore to kill the arsonist and journeyed for a long while. When the arsonist was dead, Adir wandered with no purpose to even live. Not able to let go of the deaths of everyone they cared about, Adir fell into a path of revenge and started targeting anyone the arsonist was connected to. Eventually, he wound up back where their village once stood and stumbled upon the graves. Suddenly realizing the extent of what they had done and how disappointed his brother and friend would be, Adir started a new life in a different town far from home. This wouldn't continue for long as the village happened to be where the arsonist's old mentor lived and Adir kept bumping into her, the guilt and anger eating him away until he couldn't take it anymore and followed her to an arena, where he planned to end her.

And that's where the plot of the RPG starts.
