Was obsessed with Sabriel in 5th grade and made my friend play Abhorsen with me. One person would be the undead abomination, and the other person would have to use their invisible bell bandolier to drive them off.
omg
just imagined an alternate universe where the old kingdom series went really really mainstream and you could buy cheap little bell bandoliers and skimpy key-print surcoats at lover’s lane for your necromancer bedroom roleplay

......suddenly struck by the idea for a piece of worldbuilding of "fae don't like iron bc it is the most stable element*"
*as in elements higher you can extract energy via fission and lower you can extract energy via fusion but iron itself there is no excess binding energy to extract at all

Things cats were right about all along:
Fuck staying hydrated by drinking enough water - eat! more! wet! food! (watermelon, cucumbers, SOUP!)
Feels great to be really high up in your house where you can see the whole place (loft bed loft bed loft bed loft bed!)
Express yourself as clearly as possible when people are touching you and you don't want them to.
Optional, but you can also express yourself clearly when your people are not touching you and you want them to.
Sometimes it's important to just go "hmm. actually, I don't care" and wander off.
You don't have to be the strongest or toughest to defend yourself, it's enough to just be difficult enough to not be worth the trouble.
Ghosts will eventually leave if you stare at them for long enough.

So I had to return a book to the library today and I came straight from the horse farm. I went to the front desk because it was an item on loan from another library and I wasn’t sure if it had to be checked in differently. The librarian said no, it could get returned in the normal slot but she could take it and check it in right away.
It was only when I got back to the car that I realized I had walked into the library covered in dirt from head to toe and handed back a book about grave robbing.
