Uh, headcanons like, for their working stuff

People headcanon that Maxwell can draw pretty well, but Wilson is from a rich family, at that time children were taught everything, including drawing. Plus he makes scientific sketches anyway.

Maxwell would just sometimes secretly draw him, then hide it in the codex. Wilson would get too carried away in scientific sketches, overwork the lips, etc.

Wilson's tablet is made of birch, and he most likely writes with charcoal sticks (also from birch (where this man got a pencil?)). Perhaps he then rewrites it with ink. And I haven't decided how he stores the notes later, just a stack, or stitches them together somehow.

In short, they are very gay, secretly draw each other
