So yeah the obvious why do trolls have gender in the first place?? With the way their biology works it wouldn't make sense for them to have male female sex characteristics etc etc

And honestly straight forward answer they have gender cause they're supposed to be bizzaro grey humans that's it

And me personally i like to think that sex characteristics wise trolls are all the same in that regard they're just weird bugs n all

WHOEVER!! I can still see trolls having gender roles that are more social than biological it's more about how you behave to them

Karkat pretty much confirms that girl trolls are more aggressive when he tells tavros to stop playing girl games but we can take this further

Trolls have 2 (mostly)girl exclusive blood casts jade bloods n fuchsia bloods what does that say about troll girl gendering?

Will firstly girls tend to be in positions of powers cause fuchsia bloods which tracks with troll society being real aggressive n girl trolls being well more aggressive

However girls also have a motherly role as shown with the jade bloods which can probably be blamed on well human gender roles n trolls being based on that but we can work that into the argument we can say that girl trolls tendency to be in positions of power extendes to taking care of the mother grub (arguably the most important being for the species) and also getting to decide which wrigglers deserve to live

So with this information we can say that trolls that are tougher more aggressive and dominanting are socially seen as women to other trolls and any troll that isn't that is a man

This then gets into troll gender dysphoria with fuchsia n jade trolls (and probably any high blood) being pressured into preforming girl gender roles n maybe on the other hand lowbloods who are on the bottom of the spectrum n therefore seen as weaker being dismissed or even outright discouraged of girl gender presentation

Tldr i think trolls as a species are genderless but i still want to have trans trolls all my headcanons are to cater to me n me alone don't at me
