It’s It Assorted Box ($26 + $10 for dry ice). We drive by this spot all the time and finally decided to stop by. Small spot off the beaten road, but the ice cream is plentiful with lots of choices to choose from! We picked a random 24 pieces and opted for the dry ice as we weren’t going to be home in 30 minutes. This is some seriously good stuff! Large Sashimi Regular ($21), Dragon Roll ($15), Gyoza ($7.50). Found this place on Yelp and headed straight there after a morning of fun at Curiodyssey with the kiddo. The place was packed for lunch and luckily a small table just left so we were in! I wanted to order the famous Omakase plate, but the kiddo really likes the salmon and hamachi sashimi so I went with that. It’s nice they give you rice with the sashimi, a very nice touch. The fish was fresh, tasty, and melts in your mouth tender. The dragon roll was delicious as well as the gyoza. The table next to us for the Omakase and I’m for sure getting that next time! King Henry the VIII cut ($61.85), Tiramisu ($11), Strawberry Shortcake ($11). Work dinners are the best. Eat like a king and pay nothing (but hard work throughout the year). I feel like everything has gotten a bit smaller. From the king Henry to the salad to the baked potato. Just a smidge smaller where most people wouldn’t notice, only a lifetime regular. Either way, the meat was tender and delicious and the baked potato awesome just the same. Chicken Katsu ($12.99), Hawaiian BBQ Mix Plate ($14.99), Island White Fish Aloha Plate ($6.99 promotion). Craving Hawaiian plate food and the closest is this place. Ordered on the app and found a coupon for the fish aloha plate. Arrived about 20 minutes later and the food was piping hot. The crispy items were crispy and the bbq meats were perfectly grilled. Saba Battera ($8.79), Negi Toro Roll ($8.99). OMG! I think I found my most favorite thing at Nijiya Market. The Saba sushi! I love Saba (Mackerel) because of its strong fishy smell and taste. Throw that on some rice and im golden. The cut of fish was generous and there is a paper thin slice of ginger on top and a mint leaf between the fish and rice. Its perfect! Tofu Salad with Peanut Sauce ($13.45). Instead of the normal chicken and rice, decided to switch it up and try something else. The fried tofu salad with peanut sauce really hits the spot for me. Tofu, veggies, and a delicious sauce that completes the dish! Without the sauce I’m sure the tofu would be even more healthy but definitely on the bland side. Beef Shawarma Plate ($14.50), Deluxe Chicken Shawarma ($12). Not sure if the kiddo just finished watching infinity wars, but he surprised me by requesting shawarmas for lunch. Found this spot on Yelp and off we went. They carved the meat from the giant skewer and grilled it for a slight crisp. Couldn’t wait to get home to eat these! The shawarma deluxe came with fries and eggplant inside. It was delicious! The plate didn’t come with any bread, but it was still good with the rice and hummus. Pad See Ew with Crispy Pork ($16 + $2). Work lunch edition. Who doesn’t like pad see ew and who doesn’t like crispy pork belly? Put them in a dish together and I’m ordering ya. The noodles came in a hefty amount and the pork belly in heaps as well. Truth to be told thr crispy pork belly was too fried. Ate about half of the pork and just finished the noodles. Maine Lobster Ceviche ($21.95), Fried Calamari ($15.50), Large New England Clam Chowder ($14.95), Petrale Sole ($28), Seafood Spaghetti ($25.95), Seafood Paella ($36.95), Kid's Grilled Salmon ($15.95), Banana Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding (Normally $10 but free for birthday). I guess I've taught my kid well as he wanted to eat lobster ceviche for his birthday dinner. Off to a family favorite Sam's Chowder house to fulfill his cravings. All the dishes we ordered came out well, except for the kids salmon which seemed overly salted. The other surprise winner, besides the lobster ceviche, was the petrale sole which was very tender, well seasoned, and was served on veggies. The seafood spaghetti and seafood paella was fine too. Our running joke afterwards is always "We should have ordered three lobster ceviche and a fish and call it a day". We love this place! Will definitely be back! Tomato Garlic Chow Mein ($14), Sweet & Sour Chicken (House Special) ($17), Classic Pork Mapo Tofu (House Special) ($16), Jade Fried Rice ($10), Egg Rolls ($5), West Lake Beef Soup - Large ($12), Red Tea Cola ($5). Since we were in the neighborhood, we decided to try some Chinese food from a Michelin Star chef. We ordered at the counter and about 20 minutes later we had our food and off to home we went. The food kept pretty well when we got home and we dug right in. The Mapo Tofu had great taste but was too spicy for the kiddo. He did enjoy the tomato garlic chow mein and the egg rolls. The sweet and sour chicken had a good portions of chicken and the westlake beef soup was swimming with flavor. Overall a great meal. Order from Round Table and drive 45 mins around trip or pay $2 more per pizza and use a $15 coupon from UberEats and get it delivered to you?! Of course today laziness won out and UberEats it was. The pizza arrived about an hour later and it was time to dig in! I love the garlic sauce on the pizza's and its the best! The Maui Zaui was a little spicy, which is fine for me but the kid kept chugging water. The wings were fine and a nice appetizer. Overall we love Round Table as its always consistent and it taste great every time! Luckily we had the $15 UberEats coupon so that covers the tip and service fees. Love this place! Hummus Moroccan Beef ($17). Ground beef, Moroccan spice, pine nuts & tahini with two pita bread is a very filling meal. Dont let it deceive you like it did to me. The green harissa sauce is SPICY and its so good! The red chili garlic sauce looks spicy, but its really not that much. Mix them both into the hummus and ground beef and then scoop it up with the pita... Mmmm perfection! I love this place! Soltani ($35) - A combination of barg (filet mignon) and koobideh (ground beef). Work dinner brought us to our favorite Persian restaurant. Started with some Kashk-e-Bademjan (Puree Eggplant) and Mirza Ghasemi (grilled eggplant and tomato) and freshly baked flat bread. Next came the Ghormeh Sabzi (a persian beef stew) over some crispy rice. I feel like I was almost full already! The main entree came out and I went with the half rice and half salad with my filet mignon and ground beef. Throw in some Mast-o-Moosir (yogurt sauce with garlic) and we're in heaven. Adult AYCE Dinner Weekend + Holiday (41.99). With three paying adults, a birthday person can eat for free! That's the reason we were back. The prices have definitely raised a few dollars from a few months ago. All I usually get is the sashimi, sushi, roast pork, and the seafood dishes. Funny story... The kid and I were in the sushi line and lady saved a spot for her husband in front of us. The couple were "happily fed" by their appearance and we smiled and make some small talk while we waited for our turn. Arrived at the sashimi section and the dude scooped the whole offering of salmon. Luckily for me, I was able to get some other raw fish. We made it to the nigiri and the same dude takes all the salmon nigiri! Needless to say, the small talk didnt mean anything and it was everyone man for himself. The look on the kid's face was priceless. All good as I went back around for round 2 and there was plenty. Enjoyed some lobster and crab too and left feeling full but not over stuffed. For dessert, the black sesame pudding is a winner. Will be back when there is another birthday! Tofu Soup (Free), Seafood Pancake ($22), Pork Belly ($35), Galbi ($45). I love Korean food! We usually go to our local spot (Manna), but we love coming to this spot too! This place gives out much more varieties of banchan and it comes with free tofu soup or egg dish during lunch. The seafood pancake is packed with large seafood chunks, sorry Manna this place got you beat on the pancake. The Galbi and pork belly are amazing and although its pricey, its worth every cent. The tofu soup is spicy (if you ask for it spicy) and its a nice addition to the meal. Portuguese Tarts (~$2.50 each). Had a craving and off I went. Luckily it was open and no one was in line. Ordered a bunch and came home to devour a bunch.
