while replaying the available episodes from a second netflix profile (sneaky hack for anyone who wants to pursue multiple routes at the same time instead of prematurely replaying or waiting for the season to end) it dawned on me how much i miss the oneshot chapters from... i think season one of the game? yk, where you'd go to one of the contestant's profiles and basically have a little freetime event.

i think all versions of thth should have the mini-chapters, because i feel like in s3 you don't have chances to form friendships outside of giselle/julian/sean/new contestants. and then there are the parties but it's not like every contestant actively gets relationship bars 🫤

Oh don’t you worry I’ve got multiple profiles and multiple routes going all at once (or, I did before I realised I simply do not have the amount of hours needed in a day to play all the routes I want to do)

The little customised bonus scenes were so cute but I honestly think that they included those because they didn’t have the capacity to do the amount of branching that they wanted to do. But now every conversation with the love interest is so different, I almost don’t think you need it? Like the dialogue and that is so varied between love interests I personally don’t feel the need for bonus scenes.

That said they brought them back I wouldn’t complain 🤭

the interests do get you bits of dialogue with characters that share them! like for jirayu you can bond being a polyglot, mattias loves travelling, and giselle is a foodie! i was surprised taz didn't have any foodie dialogue but he does have artist dialogue so that's nice! all the characters seem to have one trait that's available for you to pick i'm *pretty* sure (haven't played all the routes yet)

i finally started playing season three and i LOVE it so far. not fond of mc's clothing options (there are only three pieces that i like as of chapter 4) nor how victoria wasn't a LI (i always fall for the mean ones... glances at allegra). but i love carmen, and jirayu! beatriz feels underrated within the game's narrative and sean is giving litg gary (which i love... lowkey wanna romance him).

my only gripe (aside from the fits) is that the interests are never really relevant. i'm not caught up with the season so maybe i'll be proven wrong, but why have the option to pick interests when they're never gonna be bought up in the story? to my memory, they weren't relevant in season 1/2 either.
