Not sure if you all enjoy seeing the drawing process, but I’ll keep sharing both the final pieces and the behind-the-scenes.

I’m heavily influenced by music, so most of my edits and drawings are paired with songs that help carry the emotion or story I’m trying to express. 🫶🏼

The more the creators and fandom pushes away the idea that Silco x Jinx was cannon only makes me want it cannon more.

Hey, I was okay with it NOT being cannon to show, really I did. But the more I see ppl bitch about it, the more I see creators hide Silco and try and sweep him under the carpet.

The more I want this ship cannon.

Edit: It doesn't matter what fandoms ship tbh, let's normalize fandom freedom. Because the creators themselves need to chill out.

Snake's Bride AU.

Summer is the time to enjoy your favorite music. So I remembered a song that I once loved very much and after listening to it again I came up with an idea for this AU.

The song is called “Невеста полоза” (“The Snake's Bride”), performed by the russian folk-group “Мельница”.

There's a haze over the clearing, where the Serpent King's waiting, Now you are engaged to him. This song has a folklore background, a legend about a snake wedding. At the beginning of June, with the arrival of summer the earth warmed up well and snakes crawled out of their winter holes to look for a partner. Snakes rolled around the forest, arranging a wedding, become aggressive and may attack people.

The King of Snakes in Rus' was Poloz, he lived with his court underground and possessed countless treasures. In the spring, the snake kingdom crawled to the surface and looked for a bride for the King. The traditional Snake Holiday was June 12, on this day women were forbidden to leave the house, so as not to catch the eye of the King and not become his betrothed. And if some girl still went out to the well for water alone, and the Snake King liked her, then he sent her a gift: a gold ring, bracelet or necklace. Having picked up the King's gift, the girl could expect snake matchmakers, since she became the Bride of Poloz. People did not dare to refuse him, because in this case troubles and misfortunes awaited them. And in the fall, Poloz took his bride to the underground kingdom, where he descended with his court to spend the winter.

This is what the song is about: a girl who went to get water became an unwitting witness to the snake's wedding and the King liked her. Now she hears his voice and cannot resist the attraction, because her fate is predetermined — in the fall she will go to the underworld with the King. But, not daring to come to terms with her fate, she asks her beloved to hold her and not let her go.

And how could I not think of Jinx and Silco? Jinx, who never knew fear and did not like prohibitions, of course, disobeyed and, of course, got into trouble, having caught the eye of the King of Snakes! But was it she who got into trouble? Or was it Silco — the permanent King, who fell in love with an impudent girl at first sight and is now ready to lay the whole world at her feet? I think this story has a happy ending for both of them!

For almost a whole month with breaks for work and real life I worked on the images of Jinx and Silco for this AU. Here they are!

I created the image of the village girl Jinx from the images of slavic girls and the alternative Powder. And for the image of Jinx — The Snake's Bride — I put together Jinx from Arcane, Jinx from the League of Legends and the trends of medieval bandit outfits. I think she turned out great!

I based Silсo's snake form on the Amur racer. They are one of the largest snakes in the grass snake family. They are excellent swimmers and dexterous tree climbers. They are quite difficult to tame and can be aggressive, but Jinx will have no problem with that! The racers are also non-venomous, but when frightened they emit an unpleasant odor (yes, smoking is disgusting, mr. Silco). But instead of poison, Silco uses Shimmer in his snake form: he injects it into his palatine pockets, but does not always use it. Because of this, the Shimmer stagnates and is not excreted, but eats away at his own flesh, hence the scars on his face.

Someone just pointed out something beautiful on Silco's wanted poster.

Jinx didn't scribble out his crimes. She didn't give a fuck.

"Yeah, my daddy did that shit and he's one of Janna’s angels now."

It's a rare occasion. But Jinx ACTUALLY loves being told what to do. No no, you don't ever see her listen to anyone. Oh no no no. That's not the way of a Jinx. No, she listens to one person. One singular old man with one ugly ass face she calls sexy. That's HER sexy. The only one with a scar injury like his.

No matter what it is, what he's asking for. She'll do it. He wants a kiss? Someone on his lap? His face buried in blue? An explosion? A war? Dead bodies all over the floor?? Jinx will give him just about anything.

People are misunderstanding what sort of characters they're dealing with here. They are the type that the only thing they fear is rejection and being an outcast. Both of these characters wanted to help the ones they love but they turned against them.

Also what's so annoying is that there's media like Trevor Phillips from GTA (My all time goat) for example has said and done so much messed up things. But nobody talks about them, instead they're calling it out for doing the opposite nowadays.

But people got mad over a TV show about a completely fictional world with fictional characters is insane.

Not only that but them listening to the people crying about them alternated the vibe of the story or the drive for Jinx to lose herself completely and blow up the ones that oppressed her own and lead her sister to join them. Instead we were given the "Oh a child can fix her mental health, she's a mom now so she's better-" No... None of us asked for this. We asked for a story of two broken worlds and how a broken girl survives it. And she survived it because of Silco.

Edit: I mean it's clear in S2 that everything was being forced and altered to please the viewers anyway. But this ship even helped expand complexity on other potential ships for me, like????

Nah y'all need to see what I'm brewing next and starting on right now.

Brroooo Jinx did NOT look Vi's way after Silco tried to shoot Vi and Jinx legit JUST saw him point the gun at her sister. Her concerns were all on Silco.

The bell Jinx is my favorite fan work. I like to think that Silco adds bells to her hair not just for decoration but for safety reasons as well. Like if she ever got kidnapped or got into a fight, he'd be running wherever the bells are ringing with fists wind back.

Edit: Like the Markiplier punch but running WAY faster. And deliberately throwing himself across the air.

The way Powder hugs Silco is so sweet. If you REALLY pay attention, you'll see her hands stroke his back before holding him tighter. "You're mine now" Is what that's saying. "I know." Is Silco's unspoken response.

I think in the original draft of jinx and silco where supposed to be romantic.

Oh man! Isn't it great that the THOUGHT alone of them being cannon was on the board? 😭😭💕 I mean I like them perfectly as they are, (before S2). Someone (I'm sorry I can't remember who it was 😭😭) said they fulfilled every role for each other and accepted each other as family. And thank you so much! It makes my day hearing people enjoy them, they're my ever flowing river 💙💜 (Big rant coming, I had to😭🙏🏽)

But oooo if they could leak out even staff doodles of them holding hands. Or or a kiss scene by the river. Nnhh a music video of them and their 9 years together instead of her and Ekko (no hate on shippers, but tbh it was forced on the directors side, I didn't like it) But alas 😞 people are too afraid of backlashes or being shunned of. But in saying that tells me that they aren't clear of their target audiences and leaned into the normal media. Which to me shines a really bad light in creative freedom and expression as a whole. There are soo many films of actors in the flesh in awful situations (fictionally speaking) Why is it a problem in animation? Shouldn't it be the other way?

And the way they treat Silco's character is so bizarre 😵‍💫 it's actually infuriating. They put so much time, depth and effort to perfect him (for Jinx let's be honest, they redesigned him for her) just to sweep under the mat? Nah that'd even piss off a loose cannon if you hide her shark-rat. In interviews they say it's his fault why Zuan and Piltover are fighting and ANYTHING to do with him is about shaming a ship or for him being a shitty person, when all he wanted was a better place for his own people, he wasn't selfish, it wasn't for his own benefits. "He's a dirty thing trying to prove himself" isn't good enough for me. He wanted to prove his city is equal to its sister, he sees this in Jinx and Vi's relationship, he sees himself and Vander. He knew he'd lose, he just wanted the respect his own people deserve. He wanted people to treat his people like he WANTS to be treated. It wasn't for selfish gain. If so, he wouldn't be forgiving Vander and asking for help and Piltover would be long gone. If he was a real piece of shit then Jinx would've been killed off before she even became Jinx.

And the VAs choose every character but Silco... Even if you choose another over him, not to mention him entirely is just a crime to me. HE IS THE REASON WHY SHE'S JINX AND SHE'S PERFECT!!! I WAITED SO LONG FOR A WHAT??? A MOTHER???
