I'm gonna go full hater mode once we start getting content for Edge of Eternities. If Tezzeret has no haters, assume I'm dead.
(Also i am not checked in to, like, the Magic Story drops, they consistently just happen and I find out like a week later. Somebody please let me know when they start, so I can start being a hater)

in 2024, Dalton Cason, a white man under the influence of cocaine and fentanyl, drove onto the sidewalk and hit Logan Sharpe, a 7 year old Black boy, in Southern Georgia.
Cason was charged only with a DUI - and that came only 9 months later due to online advocacy by Sharpe's mom and others. Not vehicular homicide - or any charge for the killing at all. (A vehicular homicide charge is standard for a death caused by a driver under the influence.)
The cop on the scene also apparently lied in his report, claiming that an eyewitness said Logan was already in the street when he was hit, but that witness and another - Logan's brother Keisean - actually have said that Logan was on the sidewalk.
Then, Cason was allowed to remove items from his truck, and even pick the body shop his truck would be towed to - allowing him to potentially hide evidence.
Everything points to cops covering for Cason and protecting him as a white man while disregarding the life of this little boy and the suffering of his family. This case has been a travesty and gross miscarriage of justice by the racist policing and justice system.
Now due to awareness raising by Logan's mom and others, the case is finally gaining traction. The fundraiser for his family and legal action is here. Please reblog and post about Logan. This same type of campaign is the reason Ahmaud Arbery's killers were finally charged.

We fought two wars in the Middle East for two decades without a draft but that fact is inconvenient to the "how can I make the suffering of innocent people thousands of miles away about ME?" crowd.

Everyone who got annoyed at me over the cis woman who couldn't understand a man knowing what experiencing misogyny is like post is proving my point btw.
Everyone who had something to say about "do you want to be seen as a man or not" is proving my exact point that people cannot fully accept the notion of men who are not welcomed into the boys club of cis manhood. The notion of "Man" is entwined inextricably with Power, Control, if I am a man that must mean I wear The Boot because Man means Wearing The Boot. You want me to chose between my sense of self and my lived experiences because to you, a "real man" would not have had my experiences.
You people are incapable of understanding gender as an internal sense of self and not as a magic spell. You fail to progress your feminism past a no boys allowed sign hung on the door of a playhouse. You are deeply fucking unserious and it's frankly embarrassing.
There's a serious problem in progressive spaces wrt seeing people as entire people with flexible experiences and not just identities listed like Pokémon types. Be better.

‘It’s sooo annoying that this traumatized child character is not being super rational and emotionally stable about the horrendous things they’re experiencing that even a well adjusted adult would struggle to deal with’ is possibly the most infuriating take on the internet and i want to beat you all with hammers.

have seen this weird trend on here of discussions where someone is being rightfully clowned on for being transphobic and then someone drops a "they're probably a zionist too!" with no receipts whatsoever and like no connection to what's actually being discussed.
and aside from this being uh weirdly performative it also betrays this deep misunderstanding of how people in the real world can be diametrically opposed to you on particular topics but actually agree with you in other spheres. i do think people on here need to understand the broken clock phenomenon because i see it too with basic feminist theory like people wholesale throwing out very core statements about the patriarchy "because a terf said it once" and in their rejection of alleged terfism they end up stumbling straight into transmisogynistic territory.
but anyway there are in fact transphobes out there whose opinions on other topics will occasionally align with yours, just as there are trans people who have unpleasant political views, and this is a normal part of living in society with complicated people who are not cardboard cutout villains who universally say bad things. also stop being performative about combating zionism and go lend $25 to a palestinian in need, ok thanks

it's actually so wild to me that people will say very stereotypically misogynistic things to someone who grew up hearing those things directed at them personally in openly misogynistic ways, and who has a long history of struggling to be viewed as their correct real gender instead of as a woman. and claim it is Actually Not Misogynistic because they said they believe this person isn't a woman.
oh okay yes of course as long as YOU say you didn't intend for that to be misogynistic and as long as YOU say you meant it to be hurtful for entirely separate reasons, well, that's okay then!! you're so normal btw

Horrifying to think about the impunity of the West. Horrifying to witness Western terrorists dehumanizing whole communities and then audaciously couching it as a necessary stepping stone to peace. A city was continuously bombed and put under seige for over 21 months in the name of Jewish safety, and the West upheld the opinion that this is not a genocide.

I've been doing a lot of thinking about my family and how I was treated as a child, and honestly, my father has never seemed more amazing in my eyes.
I used to love Luigi(Mario's brother) when I was little. Like, he was my favorite character ever, and I had multiple plushies of him. Didn't give a fuck about Mario, vaguely tolerated Peach, but I loved Luigi.
On my first day of kindergarten, my dad gave me the number for his work phone and said it was Luigi's phone number. "If anything happens at school, call Luigi."And not even twenty minutes into my first day, I was having a panic attack. So I went down to the principal's office and called "Luigi."
Now, at the time, my father was in a meeting with his manager and his supervisor, along with most of his coworkers. And when I called, he picked up before he even left the room.
And he put on a very awful Italian accent and said, "Itsa me, Luigi! Whatsa the matter?"In front of his boss and coworkers. Without telling them what was going on. So they were absolutely bewildered, and he carried on like they didn't even exist. He only explained what was happening after I had calmed down and hung up, to which most of them responded with "Aww, cute."
I continued to call him whenever I got upset at school, and eventually his coworkers got in on it. I distinctly remember one of them impersonating Toad. I don't know why I'm telling you this, I just thought it might make you smile :)
this is so delightful I love your Luigi dad
