and then in S3 Crosshair said "Clone Force 99 died with Tech. We're not that squad anymore."

Maybe the pressure of valentines art got to me, but I was having art block with what I was working on 🥲 Set it aside for now and scribbled something sentimental instead. Happy valentines day :]

Rejection sensitive dysphoria is wild. Someone will be like “hey just so you know the thing you did was a little bit loud/uncomfortable/insensitive but it’s ok I know you didn’t mean it” and my brain will instantly translate “you should be shot”

MEL-???

I was putzing around starwars.com just now 😁 and happened to land on the entry for Phee's droid, MEL.

I used to think, "MEL-221...cool! It's like 221b Baker Street, and Phee solves ancient mysteries." 🕵🏾‍♀️ (Phee would slay in a deerstalker, btw.)

But according to this, she's not MEL-221 anymore. The droid we saw after "Entombed" is MEL-222, which makes me wonder:

HOW MANY TIMES HAS PHEE REBUILT THIS POOR DROID?! 🤯

Sometimes I think about how this random tidbit on the TBB recap article might be the strongest piece of evidence that there were/are plans for Tech... like why the frick is "Tech is an important asset to the republic (which is now the empire, by the way)" relevant information to know before watching season 3? It is not something ever brought up in TCW or TBB - Tech has never been singled out that way- so what is that possibly for, huh.

Crosshair certainly was; he still seemed convinced Phee was secretly a siren or some similar manner of mythical being. “In that case I shall guard it with my life.” She snorted. “You’re just,” another yawn, “trying to get on her good side.” “I have read this is expected when courting someone.” “Yeah? You courting me now?” “I am.”

As for Axis Mundi...

"What was that," Wrecker asked, half-crouched. "Phee," Tech murmured. For several seconds the jungle was silent like a held breath. Nothing moved, nothing called. Hunter started to speak, stopped, froze. "What?" Crosshair asked. Hunter crouched down, set a hand on the jungle mat. His eyes searched blindly. "Not sure. Something…big." "Big?" The ground beneath their feet shuddered violently, sending fronds and branches raining down around them. Wrecker blocked a large branch from landing on Tech and Crosshair; Hunter rolled clear of another. A haze of dust rose from the volcano's slopes, promising numerous rockslides they couldn't see from their vantage point. The shaking continued for several seconds, slowed, stopped as abruptly as it had begun. No silence now; the jungle erupted with panicked calls, screeches, hissing. Birds and winged reptiles took flight en masse, fleeing in a roar of wingbeats. Smaller creeping animals shook the underbrush as they charged past. A pack of feral lurcas which all bore a resemblance to Batcher thundered by; they parted around Wrecker to avoid colliding with him, but otherwise paid the Batch no mind in flight. Tech realized that Crosshair was staring overhead, looked up to see heavy, blue black clouds gathering, swirling slowly into a vortex. "So," Crosshair said, eyes on the supercell gathering overhead, "I was right. She is a sea witch." Tech rolled his eyes.
