In your headcanons, when do YOU imagine Tech reunites with his family? If you subscribe to multiple theories, which is your preferred theory?

#I'll take either- I just want the cx theory to be canon- but pre-epilogue preferred #they all deserve it #plus I want Tech to help Omega make her ship out of the Marauder's salvageable parts #I think it'd be poetic for him to help her make something new out of the destruction he caused #tech lives #the bad batch #tech tbb #also if we can reconcile Tech and Crosshair #and the guilt Crosshair is carrying #I would hope for it to happen sooner than later #so Crosshair can heal like he deserves

remember in S2 when Tech said "This squad existed before Echo was a part of it, and it will exist after."

and then in S3 Crosshair said "Clone Force 99 died with Tech. We're not that squad anymore."

i just think about this a lot.

#I have /so/ much to catch up on with tumblr but let me start with this #please never shut up by the way #because reading these analyses keeps my interest going haha #and also because I love discovering new patterns that I'd previously not considered #tech being the engine of the squad is a great way to explain his role #he is the squad's optimist (besides Omega)#keeps them going because he always finds them a way out or forward #“we'll figure out a solution like we always do”#the part about him having to learn his family needs him is quite interesting #I don't think he had a choice on Eriadu #but the after?#if he's alive but thinks staying gone will keep his family safe?#that'd be an interesting path to take #I'm a CX-Tech (lives) truther so I would apply that character arc to that route post-finale but I digress #I also did not catch that Wrecker and Hunter do not comment on both statements huh #or that these two statements paralleled Saw's quote #sick!!!#I am hoping the truth is just as you said #the squad has become a family now #it's not dead it just changed (adapted)#and yes it's currently a bit dinged up and broken but it can and hopefully will mend and heal #the bad batch #crosshair tbb #tech tbb #snaildood rants

I wonder who is “right” here #squad persists despite a loss vs. does not #Crosshair often says incorrect things but this quote /was/ emphasized and Wrecker goes quiet for a bit after it #“right” as in which statement is the writing siding with #crosshair tbb #tech tbb #the bad batch #wrecker and hunter's responses reinforce that they're sticking together but I'm not sure if they're saying that that quote is wrong

MEL-???

I was putzing around starwars.com just now 😁 and happened to land on the entry for Phee's droid, MEL.

I used to think, "MEL-221...cool! It's like 221b Baker Street, and Phee solves ancient mysteries." 🕵🏾‍♀️ (Phee would slay in a deerstalker, btw.)

But according to this, she's not MEL-221 anymore. The droid we saw after "Entombed" is MEL-222, which makes me wonder:

HOW MANY TIMES HAS PHEE REBUILT THIS POOR DROID?! 🤯

#part of why I personally think Phee's holding onto a hope that Tech's out there #not just because in S3 she talks about him like he's fine but also #she does not let this droid die #and all her stories are about some daring escape from danger #you can't tell me she doesn't believe in the wildest possibilities #aaaanyway I love how much she has rebuilt Mel by the way #Phee being a speedrunner of building droids because of how often she does it for Mel is a fond headcanon of mine #phee genoa #MEL-222

Sometimes I think about how this random tidbit on the TBB recap article might be the strongest piece of evidence that there were/are plans for Tech... like why the frick is "Tech is an important asset to the republic (which is now the empire, by the way)" relevant information to know before watching season 3? It is not something ever brought up in TCW or TBB - Tech has never been singled out that way- so what is that possibly for, huh.

#other pieces of tech lives evidence have room for coincidence but I truly can't think of what else this one could mean #fishy as heck to single him out like this #and not Omega #it's not even just generic tech lives but specifically that the /government/ has an interest in him #anyway day 943758374 of yapping about this sorry #snaildood rants #the bad batch #tech lives #tech tbb #that being said this article does mislabel Echo as a clone commander for some reason #but what the frick “tech specifically is important to the republic” is a weirder to me than “got clone ranks mixed up”
