It's Manichaean Miku!

Manichaeism is pretty interesting. It was a major world religion between the 3rd and 6th centuries more or less, starting from modern-day Iraq all the way to China through the silk road. Eventually it was supplanted By Christianity and Islam and mostly forgotten (it survived longer in China where it mixed with Buddhism.)

It's based on this image. According to Wikipedia it's a portrait of a Persian Manichaean, from the Bezeklik Caves which are known for their historical Uyghur Buddhist murals. I had a bit of a hard time finding more information about it, though.

Here, have my ancient Egyptian Miku, I made it a couple months ago but I didn't post then because I wasn't happy with how it looked and changed it a little. It's vaguely from the New Kingdom of Egypt era (which still lasted for like 5 centuries 💀) Hopefully the hieroglyphs say something like "htsnmjka" or "htsnmjkw" heh

i drew a miku cosplaying the torchbearer today haha its not them, i just wanted to try the (somewhat dead) trend of drawing miku (yk, the brazilian miku thing), but i hope u guys still like it ^^

I'm a bad artist because I have no ambition to be a good one and I'm also late to this trend but I also know that I am almost without a doubt the only person from this background who a) has heard of the "miku from my culture" thing, b) knows who hatsune miku is in the first place, and c) is willing to draw her in a cape dress. anyway have plainfolk!miku. yes, she's a rag doll, and yes, she's sitting on the new harmonia sacra :)
