Damn, lemme vent rq. I hate feeling like Im the only one putting effort in!! I've been trying to get into groups and gather arounds those with similar causes but we're all too caught up in life sometimes and it just fucking sucks feeling like being alone in a crowded room.

I feel I should specify when I talk about the vast majority of Israelis supporting this genocide it's not to call for violence of them or even to demonise them. It's to call attention to Israel having a genocidal education system which dehumanises Palestinians from the moment Israelis start school. Ilan Pappé did a study in 1994 of the Israeli education system and raised the alarm that it would raise a generation who are even worse than those who first colonised Palestine in 1948. We're seeing the truth of that now.

I raise this point because we're seeing this attempt by politicians and the media to claim that it's just Netanyahu who is to blame for this genocide and not a systematic problem that requires boycotting, divestments and sanctions to push them to correct. This lie is being pushed because they do not want to change the status quo which allows for Israel to steal Palestinian land and homes and keep Palestinians under military occupation.

My monthly reminder to Tumblr that Black people exist all over the world. This implication that whenever a Black person's experience is brought up it "must be US centric" is ridiculous and low-key a dogwhistle atp. Black people are global. Antiblackness is global. I assure you that even if the Black people in your country don't deal with race the same exact way they do in the US, does not mean there aren't similarities in experience. Perhaps look for them in your spaces and LISTEN.

its not normal to only engage with media by white people, it is not funny or quirky to admit you dont read or watch things made by people of color, that is a failure, like that is a massive failure and im not talking about watching anime or cartoons i mean if you recognize and admit you dont engage with literature or poetry or historical accounts or discussions of bigotry when it isnt written by a white person you are actively apart of the problem, racism is not just yelling slurs or doing hate crimes, racism is the act of seeing brown people as lesser than white people in many different facets of life, if you notice that you never even attempt to read point of views that arent from white people that is a moral failure, you actively have to go out of your way to ONLY see, read, learn from and shape your understanding of the world with media by white people, you failed, on purpose, and that should embarrass you

One of the things that pisses me off most about this genocide and overall occupation is how many people say it's so complicated and there's so much nuance and there isn't one easy solution. This is one of the simplest things I have ever seen. Zionists invaded palestine in 1947-48. They have occupied it for 76 years while taking more and more land. They kidnap and torture and massacre Palestinians day in day out for those 76 years. They control every aspect of Palestinian life, including their water and medical care. And now they are committing another genocide against them. Where is the complication? What is hard to understand? "Well, Jewish people need a place where they won't be discriminated against" I absolutely agree. So make every country in the world safe for Jewish people. Fight against anti Semitism across the world. Don't commit a genocide and set up an ethnostate.

People seem to forget homeless people have more needs than food especially to get out of that situation and there tend to be way more resources to get free food than to get things like menstrual products or clothing or hygiene items you have no idea what a homeless person needs money for or how much they have or if they’re saving. And yes, once again, they might NEED drugs. Alcohol withdrawal can literally kill you. You can’t give someone money or assistance with strings attached and pretend you’re doing it for anybody except yourself. That’s to make you feel better, not help them
