I always liked the anime illustrations in the original NES Zelda manual, and it saddened me to find out these weren’t actually part of a real animated promotion for the game. So I decided to take those illustrations and re-create them as if they were!

I don't know who needs to hear this but please please please please please explore the settings. Of your phone, computer, of every app you use. Investigate the UI, toggle some things around and see what happens. You won't break anything irreperably without a confirmation box asking you if you really mean to do that thing. And you can just look up what a setting will do before touching it if you're really worried ok?

Worst case scenario you just have to change the settings back if you don't like what happened but it is so so so important to explore the tools available to you and gain a better understanding for how the stuff you use works.

Even if you already know. Even if you're comfortable with how you use it now. You don't just have to accept whtever experience has been handed to you by default and it's good for you to at least know what's available to you.

Sony price gouging and excluding poorer territories outside of Japan, America, and EU, Microsoft building a monopoly, axing their amazing talent to cut costs because they're hemorrhaging money funding AI garbage as well as funding a genocide, Nintendo being run by accountants, opening the floodgates to 80 dollar games, and making a console that has worse DRM than the Xbox One, Tencent buying more people than Microsoft pushing the entire industry to services as opposed to art.

This really is the worst gen of consoles, and I feel like I'm going insane that everyone seems to be okay with this. It'd be one thing if it was just normies and younger folks who may not remember a better time (no shade at younger people. y'all get enough flak for no reason), but it's people my age and older who have been around since the "games as art question" first gained prominence, and they're all too happy to not only gulp down whatever filth publishers pour into their over priced consumption troth, but also play PR defense for objectively evil practices.

every time I hack a ubisoft TV show game, it raises more questions. I while back I found that there was an incest anime reference in Wheel of Fortune (Switch), and yesterday I decided to hack Family Feud (switch) and GUESS WHAT IT'S WEIRD TOO.

It has a list of censored terms (because it has online play) and the list is 3000-terms long. You've got all kinda of misspellings of the usual suspects, but then there's weird stuff.

"halal" is banned. "paginate" is banned. "mr hands" is banned, just in case someone wants to play online as a reference to the time a Boeing engineer got horsed to death. WELL NOT TODAY.

But the weirdest one is "dolcett". I only know what that means because I've been on the internet too long: dolcett was a 1990s vore artist, who was made slightly infamous when two people in a dolcett-fan-forum met up together and one ate the other.

yeah they want to make sure you don't reference the fetish artist who spawned the community that had the 2001 German Cannibalism scandal. in Family Feud, for the Switch.
