Listened to 'Monster' and loved it but more importantly it makes option two of my 'Muppets Epic the musical even funnier. Because if you change 'Monster' to 'Muppet' it makes Odysseus sound like he belives has to become a Muppet to survive. So instead of getting angstier he has to get sillier

The thing about Monster that I'm currently obsessed with: the way Odysseus humanizes his enemies as he dehumanizes himself. He correctly describes the motivations of the Cyclops, Circe, and even Poseidon which takes a level of understanding that people struggle with under the best circumstances. But then in the same verse he describes himself from the view of the Trojans. ("Does a soldier use a wooden horse to kill sleeping soldiers because he is vile?")

and of course the whole song is "Monster". If Odysseus can't stop seeing his enemies as people (seeing his own son in the Trojan infant), if that is what is killing his men and if there is no future where he makes it home as the person he is, then of course he has no choice but to stop being a person.

the jeri/rys have experience with violence against children

if one of them went down first i firmly believe the other one would go into a blind rage

they are fully grown adults that spend every summer doing physical activities all day at camp. have you ever seen those walletmaking arms

In my dream last night I shipwrecked on an island. It was a very pleasant place with friendly people, warm weather, food, but the one major downside was that no one had shoes. The whole ground surface of the island was pitted with barnacles and sharp rocks and they dug into your feet with every step. After a few days on the island my feet were all cut up.

I was talking to a native about it and how I’d slowly given up on the idea of leaving when I noticed something shining in one of the cuts on my feet. I leaned down and squeezed a huge black pearl out, leaving a round hole in my foot. Horrified I started squeezing every cut and even pulling open ones that had healed over and these pearls were in every one. The more of them came out the more I remembered how badly I wanted to leave and it was a terrifying realization that the island wanted people to stay so it was constantly pumping them full of these magic things that wouldn’t let them leave. The rest of the dream was spent in terror trying to fashion shoes and escape this wicked place.
