undead nightmare trivia

- if john takes a missing person poster as a zombie, the occupants of el presidio will shoot at him. after returning the first missing person, the occupants will trust marston and leave him be.

- occasionally you will see a group of undead dressed in rancher clothing with two-four undead bulls around.

- while the player is riding war at night, glowing hoof-prints can be seen for a moment where he has stepped.

- if the player summons the war horse (dlc content) then war (mythical horse) straight after that, war will spawn with the war horse's texture.

- war is scared by the torch when attacked, even though he is permanently on fire.

- killing undead with the apocalypse horse death will count towards pistol kills.

- in tall trees there may be a random encounter wherein a man is defending his makeshift base with a gatling gun, with a sasquatch beside him who seems to be helpless against the attack.

- in another random encounter, a man will call out to john from his campsite. the man is alone and will pick up a severed head from the ground and talk to it affectionately as if it was his wife or husband.

- in a rare event a man will be sitting at a campfire, eating human meat. he invites john to eat with him. if john chooses to, he will eat the meat saying "i can't believe I'm doing this" and then vomit.

- rarely, an undead cougar will appear to have been shot with arrows as they can be seen sticking out of its body.

- the chupacabra AI is a combination of a cougar and a wolf. the player can see it run up to them, attack, and run off into the bushes like a cougar and hear it bark like a wolf.

- undead bears spawn most often 7-10am outside the pacific railroad camp.

small details you may have missed in red dead redemption

- west dickens has a scar across his neck, suggesting he could have been near-fatally attacked in the past by dissatisfied customers.

- if john brings javier escuella back to el presidio dead, he will quickly wipe a tear before spitting on his corpse.

- john gains the second level of dead eye after drinking west dickens’ elixir so there may actually be something to it after all. the name dead eye also originates from the fact that john is partially blind in his left eye.

- seth walks straight by the treasure he was looking for. it’s in the basement of tumbleweed’s mansion. he opens the chest with the glass eye inside instead by mistake.

- the banker in armadillo briefly mentions that marshal johnson buried stolen goods at rio del lobo. this is where the second treasure chest is found.

- abraham reyes wears a confederate flag belt buckle.

- insects can be found in all three provinces, including ants, spiders, butterflies and beetles. you can't interact with them, but look closely and you'll see them scuttle about.

- deadeye always increases your weapon's range; pistols can upgrade to have the range of a repeater or rifle just by using dead eye mode.

- in blackwater there's an inn called "all the way inn."

- despite being a "man of modernism" edgar ross uses a winchester repeater, a model that was almost four decades old. ironically, dutch, despite being against modernisation, uses a semi-automatic pistol.

- eagles found in mexico are actually northern crested caracaras, and those found in tall trees are bald eagles. there are also three songbird colour forms, with red being the rarest.
