this blog isn’t getting much on it since I’m still plodding at the script, but hey at least I got the protag’s look mostly down. Now for the other dozenish characters.

So that comic project is getting started from the ground up with an entire baseline rewrite. I’m keeping cyberpunk Moscow but the reason for cyborgs is much simpler. And I’m also preserving my cop lady in the lead, but keeping only one villain. The real cinch is trying to come up with that pesky second-act. Remember kids, streamlining is important.

8 pages of thumbnails done, about 24 more to go.
I really enjoy sticking to a rigid 3x3 grid so you can arrange focal points.

So this blog’s been dead for a bit, and I’ll tell you why.
I’ve been putting serious effort recently onto a comic project that I’ve had on the back-burner for something like 3 years. I plan on making it 6 issues worth.
I’m also doing very little drawing of it until I have a complete, working script. Virtually every bit of concept art for characters, environments, technologies, ect. is subject to change (because honestly I’m never satisfied).
The comic is about a future Russia living behind the brink of a cybernetics revolution, were we follow a beat-cop cyborg and her plights in a crime-ridden Moscow. Her name (along with the comic) is Klaudia. The credit for the character herself goes to my friend and co-writer BFN.
You can read the script for the first chapter in a google doc here.
And here’s the draft of page one.
At some point during the production, I hope to have a 15-20 page short prologue that you can reed to get a feel of the world. This will likely be a short crime investigation story that scarcely ties into the main story.
I really hope people are interested and I can build a bit of hype around it, because this is about the only art project I’ve taken seriously. Big thx.

A much better attempt a page one. One point perspective helps funnel the eye to where it needs to be easier than two or three point would.
