Ya, i know The Outsiders was written in the 60s-

But if you don’t think that Ponyboy and Johnny were written as a couple then you are WRONG.

In The Outisders movie, during that scene before the rumble, when the camera pans across all of the greasers, you can see that they’re all wearing black and other dark colors, except for Ponyboy, who is wearing a light blue shirt with a light purple jacket, and I think that’s a huge representation of his character.

My absolute favorite part of The Outsiders movie is when Darry says “Pony, you smoke more than a pack today, and I’ll skin ya, understand?” and Ponyboy says “You carry more than one bundle of roofing at a time, today, and me and Soda will skin you, understand?” And Darry gets the happiest little smile on his face. You can see how thrilled he is that Ponyboy is concerned for him, and it’s really so sweet.
