Its been so long since I posted that I have completed my degree and received my certificate!

So my end of year assessment got cancelled so instead of taking a break I decided to start a new course!  I’ve got six months to learn how to be a teacher of English as a foreign language

Day 2 in the Big Brother House!!  Home schooling is going ok the little one is at nursery so we have quite simple things to do and the big one is quite self sufficient so he does most of his work himself.  Teaching online at early years level is proving relatively easy.  The hard bit is finding activities they can do but we are getting there.  I am glad I have another teacher to work with to bounce ideas off.

So I have two hours and then Ill be on lockdown for a minimum of two weeks, yay me!

On the brightside school has set up online learning for the children so at least I am still being paid!

We’ll I have been missing for a while!  It has been a little crazy of late.  I have started my third year at Uni and now working six days a week while trying to parent too so it is all good fun.  I will try and be a little more present here but cannot guarantee anything.

I've passed year 2!!  Cant believe my grades though I got a distinction on one module and a grade 2 on the other!  I’m really chuffed and shocked that I have done so well.

8 days til results come out!  I have already enrolled for next year so hopefully I’ve at least passed

Two more weeks at work and then I’m off for eight weeks! I love working in a school, I love that the kids holidays match my own and I don’t have to beg my friends to watch them so I can work.

My first Saturday off work since Christmas and I am sat on the patio still in my PJs drinking a cuppa while everyone else sleeps.  Kinda feels like I’m only holiday.

Ok scrape that!  I am going to focus more attention on learning Spanish.  Work is out for the summer in three weeks so I will need a project so why not do something that will actually benefit me.

I managed to work six days a week and submit both my remaining assignments with an hour to spare!  I do not know how I got it all done but I did it!.  One of them was the biggest load of crap I have written so far but I am confident I have done enough for a pass.  No more study until October woohoo!!

Really struggling to get this assignment written!  I have been at it for a week and still only have 500 words out of 2500 that are required.  I just can’t make it flow.  I did get a previous assignment back with a score of 95% this week so I was hoping that would give me the motivation to get going on this one but it really hasn’t.  Need to give it that final push as I only have three more (including the one I am working on) and I’ll be done until October.

In other news though I do have a new job!  Now working as a TA in Early Years so although it is full time and I don’t really have time for that and study, it will give me the experience I need to continue with this course and become qualified.

This has been my study area for the last three days! There are definitely worse places to study!  Only four assignments to go until the end of year 2!  Almost there.

God I don’t post often!  

So last night I heard the kids from next door playing out on the shared porch between our houses and asked the eldest if he wanted to play with them.  He said he wanted to but he was scared.  So we worked out how to ask ‘can I play with you?’ in Spanish and he worried a little more and he asked me what I thought he should do.  I told him he should do what he wants regardless of if it scares him.  It took a while but he built up the courage and asked if he could play.  He spent an hour and a half playing football and laughing with them.  We could hear the laughter through the house and it was lovely to hear.

Tonight the same kids asked if he could play with him!  He has gone out.  Again lots of laughter can be heard and it is not only the first time he has played out in the street but the first time he has used Spanish outside of school and I am so proud of him I could cry!

ok so thats one assignment submitted by the extension date I now have to catch up and keep up on this module while doing my assignment for my other module!  Sick kids are fun to have when trying to get a degree

Well there is hope for getting out of the hospital by Thursday, but we will see how that goes.  Need to get this assignment finished this weekend and then request an extension for my other module so that I don’t have to worry about that.  Then I shall be working hard to catch up so I don’t loose marks on the next ones.  Assignment time is always stressful but this is unreal!

Requested my first ever extension for an assignment.  Cant say I am happy about it but when the baby is in hospital with a broken leg and I have to stay with him there isn’t much I can do about it.  The toy he fell over has been bashed by his dad never to be seen again!
