Final design project: My own website with portfolio features. Will be looking into if I can try to get it online here over the Summer or via my Interactive Class I'm taking in the Fall.

Artist statement (old version)
Expand and explore. To be able to capture immediate attention, change views and ways of looking at things, trigger the desire to dig deeper and explore the unobtrusive, is, what drives me as an artist, a student, a girl in her twenties, a friend, a family member and foremost a human being.
The expanding and exploring also go inwards. Through my work I’m exploring how my own interests, my artistic taste and my skills are constantly being expanded and yet more defined. The same goes with the palette of photograps, graphic design, film and audio I'm using to visualize the unclear and play with the obvious.

Re-design of David Bordwell's film history introduction book I used during my first year in undergrad. I always that the design plus the visuals in it lacked some final finish and a modern twist - making it more eatable for new students and others interested.

For my personal logo, I ended up using both Illustrator and photoshop (had difficulties reversing the 'S' in Photoshop so did it in Illustrator and copy-pasted it) to make my own brand. I can't explain why I chose this Indian image as background but I happen to like the mix between that, the other gradient background and the double S. I tried to play a little with the S's in my name, making them into a heart which I realize is also something I'm doing in my written signature.
I spent a lot of time working with the layers, especially the feather girl I had to cut out and blend with the gradient background which I added some texture to. I also tried to tangle the left S more with the layers behind.
