Johnny Depp used to carry around his Jack Sparrow costume and visit sick children in the hospital. I saw that on Facebook. A lot of people in my dashboard have reblogged that. I donât know if itâs true, but he seems like a hell of a nice guy, doesnât he?
Thereâs plenty of people standing up for him right now, people who know him personally, people he has worked with, people he is friends with. People who say he is an excellent human being.Â
People see someone who acts nice, who does kind things, who gives money to charity, who maybe has been through some stuff themselves and they say hey, this is an A+ human being, and they put them on this pedestal. And then theyâre so surprised when it turns out theyâre not.
For what itâs worth, I believe Amber Heard, because I know what charismatic, good-looking, gregarious men can do, but whether I believe her or not, whether we all believe her or not, is not the problem here.
The problem is that people believe that âbeing a nice guyâ who âdoes nice thingsâ means you canât beat up your spouse. Â

âWomen in Iran are cutting their hair short and dressing as men in a bid to bypass state âmoralityâ police who rigorously enforce penalties for not wearing a hijab.Â
A number of women have shared photos of themselves in public with their hair uncovered on Instagram and other social media.
The women have cut their hair short in some images and in others are dressed in clothes more typically associated with men.Â
The hijab is becoming an increasingly contentious issue in Iran as women step up their campaign against it and other oppressive, gendered laws. In recent months, women have been filmed walking through Tehran with their hair uncovered and activists have urged Western tourists to violate laws by refusing to wear the hijab during their visits to the Islamic republic.
But the response from authorities to this resistance has been severe.A politician was disqualified from Iranian parliament after photos purporting to show her in public without a headscarf emerged, despite her insistence they were fake.Â
This week, eight models were reportedly detained for posting âvulgarâ pictures on social media with their hair uncovered. One was pictured apparently making a public apology on state TV.â

House erupts after LGBT discrimination bill fails by one vote
Madness erupted on the floor of the House of the Representatives Thursday after a pro-LGBT amendment to an appropriations bill failed by one vote. At the last minute, House GOP leaders muscled several Republicans into changing their vote. Democrats responded by chanting âShame!â The bill would have served a blow to companies who discriminate against LGBT people.

Yesterdayâs GOP Switcheroo on LGBT Equality Was More Heinous Than We Thought
Chaos erupted Thursday on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives after 7 Republicans switched their votes from âyeaâ to ânayâ on an amendment that would have protected LGBT workers from discrimination. The amendment was introduced by openly gay Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) who went into the vote with enough support to pass the amendment. However, at the last minute, RepublicanâŚ

People keep saying Maggie won't be with Riggs cause of Meredith and I actually think the opposite
I think Meredith will give up on whatever she had with Riggs,as much as I don't want her to I think she will.Meredith was already hesitant to let someone in and Maggie liking Riggs is confirming her "I shouldn't date anyone yet" thoughts.I think Meredith will sacrifice her small crush on Riggs so Maggie could be with him.It would seem occ of Meredith to start fighting over a guy she's had a crush on for .5 seconds especially with her sister. But I guess if Shonda is going to ruin yet another siblings relationship, she'll make Meredith be all jealous about it

My predictions for Greyâs S13
-The show will open 3 months after the end of tonightâs episode.
-Ben is named godfather to Baby Kepner-Avery
-Arizona is named godmother to Baby Kepner-Avery
-Jackson and April are still in love and will reconcile
-Ben and Bailey will reconcile (although this has probably already happened)
-Owenâs long lost sister will appear, probably during the ending scene right before the winter hiatus, turning the (im so over it already) love triangle between Riggs/Meredith/Maggie into a love square.
