My Candy Love Survey!

The point of this survey is to kind of stick it to Beemoov. Their Q&A has been pretty um… Bad. Not only with just learning what they plan to do (mostly not do) but they have a very sour way of talking to their audience. The last Q&A bothered me greatly when talking about surveys.

“Why don’t you organize surveys/polls with the players? MCL is available on 10 different language servers, with potentially 10 different expected models. No game can say they always satisfy everyone.” 

This bothered me greatly. Yes, that is a lot of work. I know because trying to find people/get things translated was hard. But I am *one* person and they have people as contacts to translate the game ready. That’s ridiculous. No game can satisfy everyone?

It’s not just about satisfaction. We have been repeatedly told “we are making a profit, which means most of the community likes what we do.”

If that’s the case, neat. But let’s see the numbers. Stop saying it’s working.

The poll won’t have the numbers opposed to how many players are registered on the platforms. It’s not official one from Beemoov and it’s being posted on limited medias. However, I still really want to show them that effort can be put in and even regain some trust if they can just let our voices be heard instead of shutting our voice down.

The surveys below have 7 questions. I do not ask which boy you want back, characters, etc. My questions are supposed to be as non bias as possible and stick to the core aspects that I think is important to know how players feel about the game in its current state.

¡¡Hoy es mi cumpleaños numero 23!! y para celebrarlo quería hacer algo especial y como hace 84 años @hanare-takahashi-fan me taggeo para hacer este tag he decidido hacerlo ^^ 

Además será una forma para relajar los malos rollos de estos últimos meses.

Voy a elegir sólo las imágenes del instituto porque no he jugado en la universidad ni pienso hacerlo.

1.Foto preferida

Esta me ha costado un poco, pero he elegido esta porque es la última y porque es muy tierna y Lysandro se ve precioso, además me encanta la cara de Sucrette como de estar pensando “este hombre es perfecto” o “amo a este hombre”.

2.Foto que odio

No me gusta nada esta imagen, no porque sea Ken sino por Sucrette. Si hubiese sido “un chico guapo” ella estaría encantada, ah, pero como es un nerd tiene que ser antipática. No voy a decir que a mí me gustaba Kentin desde el principio porque no es verdad, pero me parece muy mal que el juego casi te obligase a tratar mal a Ken porque si.

3.Foto que me da tristeza 

He de decir que en este momento fue la vez que he estado más a punto de llorar jugando cdm. Me puso muy triste no poderle corresponder cuando yo si que le correspondo, sólo que el juego me obliga a quedarme solo con uno ;-; ¡Quiero mi poliamor con Lysandro y Kentin!

4.Foto que me haga feliz

Quería meter al menos una de Castiel y he elegido esta porque el momento me hizo mucha gracia. ¿Qué es más romántico que pelearte con el chico que te gusta por la comida? Nada, no hay, no existe XD

5.Foto que me parezca fea 

Él está feo, ella está fea, todo está feo en esta imagen, nada más que añadir.

6.Foto con amigos preferida 

Amo a Alexy y esta imagen me encanta, la cara de felicidad de él, la cara de desconcertada de Sucrette, los corazones alrededor, todo muy kawaii y maravilloso. 

7.Foto con el outfit preferido 

Como no se ve pongo una foto del vestido XD 

Me gusta mucho el estilo vintage y este vestido es precioso, me encanta incluso el color, a pesar de que el azul no es mi color preferido. Si lo vendieran en alguna tienda lo compraría sin dudarlo.

8.Foto con el outfit que menos me gusta     

Si solamente la falda fuese más corta, tuviese otros zapatos y fuera de otro color no sería tan feo, pero así es horrible. Lo único que me gusta de este conjunto son los pendientes ya que uno es de una luna y el otro es una estrella y a mí me encanta el cielo nocturno, mi Sucrette siempre los lleva pero en plateado. 

9.Foto de amor preferida 

Me encanta esta imagen, fue en este momento en el que me enamoré de Kentin, no me molestó en absoluto haber conseguido esta imagen en lugar de la de Lysandro porque es muy intensa, parece que Kentin quiera proteger a Sucrette de todo a toda costa y además él está hermoso.

 10.Foto más sexy

La verdad es que esta debería ser mi foto preferida y mi foto de evento preferida pero he decidido ponerla en esta categoría porque lo vale XD ¡Mira sólo esa sonrisa, esa mirada, ese porte! ¡¡¡KYAAAAAAA!!! Está tan sexy y hermoso que mis ojos no son dignos XD Yo siempre digo que no hay nada más sexy que un hombre vestido como en el siglo XIX excepto un hombre vestido con uniforme militar antiguo, tengo fetiche con eso, lo reconozco XD  Lysandro + uniforme militar antiguo = PERFECCIÓN <3

11.Foto más terrorífica 

¿Qué hay más terrorífico que ver a la persona que amas morir delante de tus ojos sin poder hacer nada? por suerte Lysandro no murió pero el efecto es el mismo. Tristeza, frustración, desesperación, todo esto es lo que transmite esta imagen y por ello no veo otra posibilidad para esta categoría.

12.Foto más irrelevante  

Como ya muchas han dicho sin duda sería esta ¿para qué necesito yo esta imagen? osea, no tiene nada ¿de verdad hay alguien que perdió su tiempo haciéndola?

13.Foto que antes me gustaba y ahora ya no   

Fue en este momento que me enamoré locamente de Lysandro porque vino a salvarnos como un samurai diciéndole a Ámber que cada uno es responsable de sus actos y que debe asumirlos. Cuando la conseguí me pasé un rato mirándola porque me pareció que Lys estaba precioso, pero ahora la miro y me parece que está muy feo y Ámber también está muy fea, así que a pesar de que en su momento me gustó y me encanta la situación, ya no me gusta nada, ni un poco.

14.Foto de evento preferida    

Como he dicho antes amo a Alexy y esta imagen me encantó, él está hermoso y aunque Sucrette me parece que está fea pero eso no le quita el encanto a la imagen. Se ven muy divertidos, como que se lo pasan bien juntos, transmite alegría y eso es lo que debería ser la navidad, así que es una imagen de evento adecuada. 

15.Foto con animales preferida 

¡Sólo mira que lindo es! y el conejo también XD Me encanta la carita tierna de Lysandro con su conejito, se le ve tan feliz, hermoso y kawaii que me dan ganas de comérmelo XD 

Eso ha sido todo. Estaría bien que en un futuro hicieran un tag de imágenes de Eldarya, aunque ahí lo tendría mucho más difícil XD

the thing i regret most of all about the hakuouki series is how it makes kondo isami look:

not important

incompetent

like he was historically on the sidelines doing nothing

like he didn’t know how to use a sword

like he relied on everyone else for everything

like a bad leader undeserving of his post

selfish enough to put his own desires over the good of the shinsengumi

i know it’s just a work of fiction and that’s okay but please don’t even think for one minute that any of that is true. because it’s not.

haku really botched his portrayal. of course, he’s just a side character in this series and you can’t even romance him. just…please don’t take these things as fact because they really, really dragged my guy and he deserves so much better than what this series did to him.

kondo commanded the shinsengumi because he had resolve and charisma that was utterly infectious. before there even was the shinsengumi, he was the reason talented swordsmen began frequenting the shieikan and it was their loyalty to and belief in him that allowed him to lead the way to kyoto.

but his story of greatness starts wayyy before that.

he was born as miyagawa katsugoro into the farming class, though his family was rather well off. as a child, he always listened to his father and he didn’t get into trouble. he loved reading. he loved studying how to fight with a sword. when his father was on a trip, some guys tried to rob their house at night and he and his brothers chased them off. this attracted the attention of kondo shusuke (aka shusai in hakuouki), 3rd generation master of the tennen rishin ryu. shusuke saw so much promise in him that he literally adopted him, hence allowing this kid born into the farming class to transcend societal constructs and live in the samurai class. that’s…..huge.

but people didn’t accept him as a “real” samurai because he wasn’t born that way. at the same time, samurai had grown lazy as hell by that point, what with enjoying well over 200 years of peace. they were acting without honor and using their social status as a crutch, but kondo was determined to conduct himself in a way that was becoming of a samurai.

so, he traveled about the countryside giving lessons at various dojos. hijikata’s brother-in-law, sato hikogoro, had studied the tennen rishin ryu and opened his own training hall. that’s how kondo met hijikata. by this time, okita was a live-in student at the shieikan and on his way to becoming head of the dojo at such a young age. more and more, the talented guys we know and love gathered. and yes, kondo became the 4th generation master of the tennen rishin ryu, officially taking over for shusuke.

the political scene during this time was extremely turbulent. perry and his black ships arrived in 1854 to shatter japan’s isolation, and the tokugawa government had no choice but to open the country. it wasn’t on the account of weakness, but the tokugawa opposition framed it in such a way. whether someone was pro-tokugawa or anti-tokugawa depended on the location of their han–or how the provinces were arranged in the early 1600s. it’s a case of keeping friends close while keeping enemies away. the han of tokugawa’s enemies were said to have been treated poorly (especially choshu and satsuma) and kept mostly on the outskirts of japan, while tokugawa’s allies were kept closer.

so the arrival of the black ships caused all this political unrest and upset, which gave han who were fed up with their treatment prime reason to spark change. the tokugawa government needed help controlling the rebellion, especially in kyoto. they created the position of shugoshoku (or the protector of kyoto) and appointed matsudaira katamori of aizu to it. the government then put out an open call to form the roshigumi, which could be accepted by any man willing and able to fight. even convicts on death row, like serizawa, would be pardoned if they accepted.

kondo, hailing from tama, was loyal to the tokugawa side. he wanted to pledge himself and his sword to them and live like a true samurai. and thus, he led his group of shieikan men to kyoto with the roshigumi.

was he capable? yes. did he need help along the way to be successful? of course. he wasn’t a born and bred politician. he had a dream and a vision, and by god, he had loyalty. he needed the talents of hijikata and yamanami, as much as both of them needed kondo’s.

without kondo isami, who knows where any of these men would have wound up? hijikata needed someone like him to give him a direction and a purpose. and certainly, there would be no shinsengumi at all if it weren’t for kondo being the glue to bind all these men together. hell, if kondo hadn’t met them, he likely might have stayed put in edo as the owner of what was considered a kind of ragtag dojo.

kondo was so sincere about politics and making japan a better country. he would gather with other politicians…aizu, satsuma, tosa, etc…and get annoyed when they were more interested in the sake than talking about the issues of expelling foreigners (which is not accurate to simply call xenophobia; it’s extremely complicated).

he was damn loyal to his cause and damn proud of the samurai spirit. “more samurai than samurai” is something that comes up so often in shinsengumi media, though the origin of it has been lost. whether it was kondo or hijikata who said it, or the likes of one of the novelists who wrote about them, really doesn’t matter to me…because they proved it to me in their history and stories.

kondo isami was important. he was competent. he did amazing things–literally turned a group of ronin from nothing into something incredible and important, something to be respected and feared by enemies of the tokugawa. history was sadly not on his side. but that’s why i’m here writing posts like this, to make sure he’s not forgotten or written off.

Crees que Candy vaya a casarse al final de mcl uni? O tendrá el mismo final que mcl?

Hola, anon ¿lol? ¿Qué? No. No creo que a nadie se vaya a casar en este juego pero se cuidarán muy mucho de no hacer tercera parte y cerrarlo todo mejor. Quizás nos den el típico epílogo-final dónde nos pongan lo que le pasó a Su y su ruta en los siguientes años. Atención lo siguiente es HUMOR. Oscuro, pero humor, no os lo toméis en serio:

Ruta Hyun: Ambos se fueron a Corea (de vacaciones), después perpetraron un atentado en mitad de Seúl (resulta que era espía norcoreano) con las mochilas bomba que llevaba años fabricando en la biblioteca de Anteros Academy. Murieron ambos, pero encontraron sus cadáveres abrazados junto a un CD de las Girl’s Generation. Ahora son conocidos bajo el sobrenombre de los amantes de Seúl.

Ruta Rayan: Después de que Rayan saliese de la cárcel y de pagar los gastos judiciales con las propinas que Su ganaba en su trabajo de medio tiempo ¡¡Por fin pueden amarse en paz!! Ahora viven en un loft y se encargan de ser marchantes de artistas de poca monta. Dicen que son bohemios y que ‘viven a su aire’, en realidad son pobres como ratas. A veces ni siquiera se miran a la cara, pero fingen porque quedaría mal decir que a estas alturas ya no se aguantan. Intentaron suplirlo teniendo un niño. Rayan es estéril.

Ruta Nath: Entraron en un bucle de decadencia y por un tiempo fue divertido. Ahora viven debajo de un puente, Nath ha perdido casi toda la dentadura debido a las drogas y las peleas. Les da igual porque ellos siguen amándose pese a que el rubio sigue siendo un tipo que suple sus carencias con violencia callejera. A veces, él le recrimina a Su lo lejos que habría llegado de no haberla conocido. Ella llora hasta quedarse dormida.

Ruta Priya: Viven en Amsterdam, probablemente son las más felices. Sucrette no hace nada, solo cuida de sus 5 hijos multirraciales y prepara la comida como una ama de casa tradicional. De mientras Priya siempre está ocupada y apenas tiene tiempo para la vida en el hogar. En realidad ella se folla a su secretaria que es mucho más joven, guapa y mejor preparada. La secretaria se parece ligeramente a Rosalya.

Ruta Cas: Sucrette y Castiel actualmente están en proceso de divorcio y con un hijo. Realmente se casaron de locurón tras un concierto especialmente estimulante y el niño no tardó en llegar. Castiel sigue triunfando, pero ya ha dedicado varias canciones a su expareja como: “Bruja, no te llevarás mi pasta” o “Debrah no era tan mala”. Sucrette, de mientras, vive acomodadamente gracias a la manutención del pelirrojo. Está desempleada y siempre se está quejando de lo difícil que es su vida.

A mí también me gustan las historias de sensei-alumna, pero desde que salió CDMU me siento mal porque me gusten ya que me da la sensación de que Chino me dio “lo que quería”  

Sobre Rayan y el abuso de poder, me recuerda un profe que tuve en secundaria que acosaba a las alumnas eras el rumor, y muchas veces lo vi encimoso tocando la pierna de alguna mientras le "explicaba" la tarea. Si, me reprobó ese señor y estuve dos para sacar de final la materia. El caso es que a pesar de todo, me gustaba rolear y leer en manga sobre sensei-alumno sometido, perooo Rayan es toda una decepción. No hay nada de él que pueda ser agradable. Nada. Que se quede con su axe. LOL

Hola anon xd Ojito, que hay quién piensa que es la ruta para target ‘adulto’ y Hyun para 'niños’. De verdad que hay gente que le falta un yo que sé lol. En otro contexto la ruta 'senpai’ te lo compro, pero hasta en eso han intentado ser tan 'parcialmente realistas’ que no funciona por ninguna parte. Si fuese menos 'real’ no me daría tanto asquete, incluso sería menos crítica con el tema abusos de poder porque vería la historia más 'fantasiosa’. Por otro lado, es realista pero… Probablemente nadie mencione lo de las dinámicas de poder, como tampoco nadie menciona el parecido físico entre Kentin y Morgan. Esos PEQUEÑÍSIMOS agujerillos de guión made in Beemoov.

¿En serio? Pues sí, así es. Ella antes nos hubiera apoyado, pero a Beemoov y a Chinomiko no le interesa, así en vez de darle un crecimiento coherente a sus personajes, prefieren utilizarlos como títeres para mandar mensajes a las jugadoras. Pues les diré algo, alto y claro, no me interesa cdmu sin mi ruta, que es Lysandro. Me siento frustrada por todo lo que han hecho. Honestamente, pienso que debemos luchar por nuestra ruta y no desanimarnos, incluso si recibimos mensajes ofensivos (yo ya llevo unos cuantos), continuaré con constancia pidiendo justicia.
