BTK Crime Scene Photos
Dennis Lynn Rader (born March 9, 1945) is an American serial killer known as BTK or the BTK Strangler (an acronym he gave himself, for "bind, torture, kill"). Between 1974 and 1991, Rader killed ten people in Wichita and Park City, Kansas, and sent taunting letters to police and newspapers describing the details of his crimes. After a decade-long hiatus, Rader resumed sending letters in 2004, leading to his 2005 arrest and subsequent guilty plea. He is serving ten consecutive life sentences at El Dorado Correctional Facility in Prospect Township, Butler County, Kansas.

•Hart Family crash•
TW: SUICIDE
On March 26, 2018, Jennifer and Sarah Hart committed a murder-suicide where they murdered their six adopted children and themselves by driving off a cliff in Mendocino County, CA.
The women began their relationship at the university they both attended. On Facebook, Jennifer stated that the women were initially closeted and faced homophobia once they publicly outed themselves, prompting their moves. They moved to Alexandria, Minnesota, in 2004, were subsequently residents of West Linn, Oregon, and an area in Clark County, Washington and had six adopted children during their lives.
Prior to the adoptions, they adopted a 15 yr old girl and brought her to therapy but soon after the therapist said the Harts weren’t a good fit for her. Abigail, Hannah Jean, and Markis Hart were all adpoted from Colorado County, TX. In June 2008 they then adopted Ciera Majia, Devonte Jordan, and Jeremiah.
Prior the deaths, the kids suffered abuse from Jennifer and Sarah. Hannah was seen with brusies on her arms, Abigail had injuries on her back and stomach, etc. Before the death Sarah googled searches about Benadryl, no kill shelters, and the nature of drowning. Toxicology reports show Jennifer was over the alcohol limit and Sarah and two of the children had diphenhydramine in their systems.

Adam John Walsh (November 14, 1974 – July 27, 1981) was an American boy who was abducted from a Sears department store at the Hollywood Mall in Hollywood, Florida, on July 27, 1981. His severed head was found two weeks later in a drainage canal alongside Highway 60/Yeehaw Junction in rural Indian River County, Florida. His death garnered national interest and was made into the 1983 television film Adam, seen by 38 million people in its original airing.[3] His father, John Walsh, became an advocate for victims of violent crimes and was the host of the television program America's Most Wanted and currently, In Pursuit with John Walsh.[4] Convicted serial killer Ottis Toole confessed to Adam's murder but was never convicted for this specific crime due to loss of evidence and a recanted confession. Toole died in prison of liver failure on September 15, 1996.[5] No new evidence has come to light since then, and police announced on December 16, 2008, that the Walsh case was closed, as they were satisfied that Toole was the killer
The photo, above, shows the luminol test on Otis Toole's floorboards - revealing a face from Adam's severed head.

Travis Victor Alexander (July 28, 1977 – June 4, 2008) was an American salesman who was murdered by his ex-girlfriend, Jodi Ann Arias (born July 9, 1980), in his house in Mesa, Arizona. Arias was convicted of first-degree murder on May 8, 2013, and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole on April 13, 2015.
At the time of the murder, Alexander sustained 27 knife wounds and a gunshot to the head. Arias testified that she killed him in self-defense, but she did not convince a jury. Initially, Arias claimed that she was not present at the scene of the murder when Travis was killed, but changed her story in order to align with photographic evidence that surfaced which was captured unintentionally by Arias during the crime. The photos showed Arias dragging her victim's lifeless body down the hallway of his residence. The murder and trial received widespread media attention in the United States.

Chase Darkness with Me by Billy Jensen
Synopsis:
Have you ever wanted to solve a murder? Gather the clues the police overlooked? Put together the pieces? Identify the suspect?
Journalist Billy Jensen spent fifteen years investigating unsolved murders, fighting for the families of victims. Every story he wrote had one thing in common―they didn't have an ending. The killer was still out there.
But after the sudden death of a friend, crime writer and author of I'll Be Gone in the Dark, Michelle McNamara, Billy became fed up. Following a dark night, he came up with a plan. A plan to investigate past the point when the cops had given up. A plan to solve the murders himself.
You'll ride shotgun as Billy identifies the Halloween Mask Murderer, finds a missing girl in the California Redwoods, and investigates the only other murder in New York City on 9/11. You'll hear intimate details of the hunts for two of the most terrifying serial killers in history: his friend Michelle McNamara's pursuit of the Golden State Killer and his own quest to find the murderer of the Allenstown Four. And Billy gives you the tools―and the rules―to help solve murders yourself.

True Crime Books You Should Read 1/?
I'll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara
Synopsis:
A masterful true crime account of the Golden State Killer—the elusive serial rapist turned murderer who terrorized California for over a decade—from Michelle McNamara, the gifted journalist who died tragically while investigating the case.
"You’ll be silent forever, and I’ll be gone in the dark."
For more than ten years, a mysterious and violent predator committed fifty sexual assaults in Northern California before moving south, where he perpetrated ten sadistic murders. Then he disappeared, eluding capture by multiple police forces and some of the best detectives in the area.
Three decades later, Michelle McNamara, a true crime journalist who created the popular website TrueCrimeDiary.com, was determined to find the violent psychopath she called "the Golden State Killer." Michelle pored over police reports, interviewed victims, and embedded herself in the online communities that were as obsessed with the case as she was.
At the time of the crimes, the Golden State Killer was between the ages of eighteen and thirty, Caucasian, and athletic—capable of vaulting tall fences. He always wore a mask. After choosing a victim—he favored suburban couples—he often entered their home when no one was there, studying family pictures, mastering the layout. He attacked while they slept, using a flashlight to awaken and blind them. Though they could not recognize him, his victims recalled his voice: a guttural whisper through clenched teeth, abrupt and threatening.
I’ll Be Gone in the Dark—the masterpiece McNamara was writing at the time of her sudden death—offers an atmospheric snapshot of a moment in American history and a chilling account of a criminal mastermind and the wreckage he left behind. It is also a portrait of a woman’s obsession and her unflagging pursuit of the truth. Framed by an introduction by Gillian Flynn and an afterword by her husband, Patton Oswalt, the book was completed by Michelle’s lead researcher and a close colleague. Utterly original and compelling, it is destined to become a true crime classic—and may at last unmask the Golden State Killer.
Good Reads Rating: 4.13/5
Notes: Includes parts written by Billy Jensen who helped finish the book after Michelle passed.

A Florida man accused of murdering his wife, children and family dog earlier this year reportedly claims he has no recollection of what happened.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, physical therapist Anthony Todt was arrested in January at his rented residence in Celebration, Florida. He’s been charged with four counts of murder and one count of animal abuse, in connection with the deaths of his wife Megan Todt, and their three children, Alek, Tyler, and Zoe.
Florida officers returned to the home on January 9 with federal agents. They served an arrest warrant from the Department of Health and Human Services after investigators alleged Todt scammed insurance companies for numerous years.
Todt’s wife, Megan, had a stab wound to her stomach. Their two sons also had stab wounds on their abdomens.
According to investigators, the boys’ bodies were completely black and had started to decompose.
The youngest child, Zoe, didn’t have any obvious physical trauma, the report stated. Investigators said they found the little girl at the foot of a bed, wrapped in a blanket.
