Two Weeks- FKA Twigs Recently heard this and it blew my fucking mind. The musical layering is beautiful, the lyrics filthy. A perfect Juxtapose. The jilted, darker generation of R&B started coming to the forefront  of popular music with the likes of The Weeknd (Amazing mixtape trilogy, average at best first album) and FKA Twigs continues this trend with this incredible track. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. George

Not much to say here. I mean....it's Shlohmo and Banks. Just click play already.
P.S If you have the chance to see either live, I highly suggest it.

This track reminds me of walking backwards in a dream. I'm pretty sure in that last moment of life before death, when my life flashes before my eyes, this will be the soundtrack. The track appears on BPitch Control's Compilation Where the Wind Blows released last March. The album as a whole is not exactly cohesive or simple. It has it's weaknesses and strengths. This is one of my favorite tracks off of it however (also one of the tracks void of vocals.)

I spy- Mikhael Paskalev One of my new favourites and what a song this is. Apart from having difficulty spelling his name, Mikhael Paskalev is awesome and everything I look for in a musician. He has some seriously lovely vibes. Whilst this isn't my favourite song by him, its still a cracking tune. Hope you have a good week and for those that celebrate, have a great Chinese New year :) George

Mø- Never Wanna Know Here's my bold prediction. Danish singer and songwriter Mø is going to become huge in 2014. Whilst Electronic pop is far from new, very few have done it as well as Mø has. She's already stirring up attention with her EP, Bikini Daze and I can't wait to hear her debut album come out on Febuary 24th. George

Sorry for the lack of updates! Also in search of new writers.
Sorry for the lack of updates, our writers are dealing with a pretty hectic schedule at the moment and therefore haven't been writing. I for one have recently just moved half way across the world and still getting to grips with things but will do my best to supply you lovely people with good music. Don't lose faith just yet! We're also looking for new people to write for us so drop something in our inbox if you're interested. George

Childish Gambino - Telegraph Ave. (Ta-ku Remix) I always felt Donald Glover was at his best on his previous releases when he was singing or at least more occupied with his melodies than his words. Childish Gambino lyrics always tend to be a little too explicitly referential or allusory for my taste, a little too taken by direct simile or sly cultural reference. That said, I think his melodic sensibilities are up there with contemporaries like Drake and Frank Ocean when it comes to keying in on catchiness. Ta-ku highlights the melodies of "Telegraph Ave." on this remix, and it only benefits the song. Jose

Sex- Sticky Fingers One of my favourite current australian bands. Their album is probably one of my favourite of the year. The uploaded song is a hazy tune and if you needed an image, I'd sum it up as having sex stoned in a really smokey room. I apologise if that was too graphic but dont let that turn you off the song. It's great, this bands great.  George

Tink - Treat Me Like Somebody From Chance the Rapper to Chief Keef and everyone in between, the current plethora of young urban musical talent in Chicago is approaching Renaissance status. Tink, a fellow Chicagoan, straddles the line between rapper and singer as deftly as anyone else, but 'Treat Me Like Somebody' is a bonafide slow jam. Tink's voice is at once delicate and demanding, evoking similar songstresses like Jhene Aiko or Yummy Bingham. Frankly, I'm a sucker for acoustic riffs in R&B tracks. Enjoy.

Devil May Cry- The Weekend I'm not sure how the rest of the world felt, but I was disappointed by The Weeknds foray into the realms of mainstream music. It didn't have all the qualities that his older mixtapes did, but for some reason he was shining in collaborations (Kavinsky, Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa). This was true with Elastic heart as well, so I had high hopes for the second song Abel appears in the hunger games: catching fire soundtrack. It's not Abel's best work but its not bad. His voice is as fantastic as ever and due to it being on a movie such as the hunger game series, it's relatively clean, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but don't expect anything similar to the house of balloons.  George

Strong Enough- Haim featuring Lorde cover Holy shit. My favourite women in music at the moment are collaborating and doing a 90's Sheryl Crow Ballad? Musical erection. When I saw the title, I was worried.  I couldn't really imagine Lorde's voice in it but I'm so glad that these girls can't do no wrong. This is fantastic. Enjoy the rest of your week guys.  George

Butch Walker- Coming Home I had to put a video up of this. Butch walker has been  one of my favourite artists, delivering spectacular songs and has always been consistently underrated. His latest song from his new EP, Peachtree Battle, hits hard, sonically and emotionally with this video. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.  George

(snubnose) frankenstein - Hotel Chair ft. Key! & J.O Ski frankenstein, affiliated with Two9, has been a slept-on cat for a minute now; his production style is reminiscent of Tyler the Creator's (they share Los Angeles as a home as well as a love/obsession with Pharrell), but his music lacks Odd Future's irreverence and crassness, replacing that energy with a sedated, unhurried cool. If OF's music is like running around in the neighborhood and skating with the crew, then frankenstein's might be the equivalent of sitting in the living room watching Friday or Monday Night RAW with a few choice homies. -Jose

Come a little closer- Cage the Elephant Melophobia: The fear of music
After reading that definition, you can't help but wonder why Cage the Elephant have named a music album that,  after all how many people afraid of music would launch themselves into this occupation. Good news for you is that you have nothing to fear, the music is fantastic. The surfer rock sound that Cage the Elephant have adapted fits them very well. I adore the fact that the band takes risk in their sound. It would of been quite easy to emulate the bluesy grunge style they had in the first album but thank god they haven't. Take a listen, no matter what the title says, you'll come out still loving music.  George B
