These are my all time favourite fics (from the top of my head):

All the Wolves Cry by @argyledpenguin

A 31k oneshot that made me cry multiple times. Like so many times. It’s a James/Lily AU where Snape doesn’t hear the prophesy and this changes literally everything.

(The Completely Unwilling Participants on) The Bachelor by @ghostofbambifanfiction and @fetchalgernon

James and Lily are on the Bachelor and chaos ensures. I laughed so much, and it’s such a comfort re-read for me. Also anything else by either Sarah or Kristina is bound to be gold.

The Life and Times by @itreallyatemyhand

This is the James/Lily fic that changed everything for me and I know it’s never going to be updated but it holds a special place in my heart. Also set the bar way to high for fanfic all the way back in 2009 and my standards are so high as a result.

The Changeling by @annerbhp

Ginny is sorted into Slytherin AU. Mannnn I have a lot of feelings about this fic. It’s so detailed and layered and makes me love Ginny 12x more than I already do.

Built From Scraps (and it’s sequels) by@peter-stank

This is a Endgame AU where Peter survives and Tony gets snapped and honestly it’s perfect in every way. Also there’s so many layers to this...it just keeps giving.

The Third Option by uncertainty_principle

Uncle Ben dies and Peter ends up in the system - Tony still needs Spider-Man’s help and all sorts of feelings follow.

Hydra’s not a Home by @tempestaurora

Peter is Tony’s biological son and is kidnapped and raised by Hydra. And oooooh boy you are not ready for how genuine and funny and heartbreaking this series manages to be. I’m still not okay.

And then some Sirius and Harry family fics I love:

A Marauder’s Plan by catsarecool

Super AU where Sirius stays and raises Harry, he and Harry kinda take over the Wizarding World, has all sorts of old magic and politics as well as super!harry so read at your own risk. It’s also Harry/Hermione which is not usually my thing but I’m in it for the good Harry and Sirius dynamic

Intensity (it it’s ongoing sequels) by Marauderlover7

Sirius escapes and raises Harry, has all sorts of AU elements and plot lines, so if you like if you’re more of a canon compliant person it’s probably not for you. The fourth book in this series is still being updated and I haven’t read it for ages so might just go do that.

A Twist of Fate by @kylos-electric-slide

A Sirius-raises-Harry series, has Sirius in a relationship with an OC but has some quality Harry and Sirius content!

Anyway, I’ve very much enjoyed searching through my old bookmarks and I know I’ve missed a lot that I love so I might just put together a full fic rec list again at some point
