during my brief foray into psychosis i was toeing the line of the classic "i'm in a secret unethical psychological experiment" delusion but i got too caught up on how you need informed consent from participants of a psychological study and it would be super illegal if they didn't get that and there was no possible way they sneaked it into some other paperwork bc i was diligent about reading anything i signed. Was like sorry to my psychotic disorder but i happen to know the institutional review board would nawttt be happy about that their federal funding would be revoked so quick...

for a while now i’ve been learning that some people kind of choose to hate themselves like you can give them tools and resources and advice and they’ll even follow some of it and go “i still hate myself” and i feel strongly at that point they’re kind of choosing to stay in that mindset because it’s comfortable and familiar or something but some people are truly [gotye voice] addicted to a certain kind of sadness and hooked on feeling low

actually it is crazy to me that you can complain about any misogynistic phenomenon under the sun on this website and inevitably you're going to get people crawling out of the woodwork to go "so true op! that's why I focus solely on men!" like ok. i don't think the solution to misogyny is to only pay attention to men actually. let's run some critical thought on that one beloveds

I cannot begin to explain to you the disappointment I felt on finding out that “match my freak” was a sexual thing and not a level of how insane you are with your friends
