you know what? i was a fool. i didn’t truly appreciate this until now and i was a fool. 

lance/kurogane’s blue turtleneck is glorious and i just let this moment pass me by. was i looking away every time i watched this episode before? did i gaze upon the turtleneck without registering the gift i had been given? what was i even doing with my life? 

this scene was already breathtaking enough, showing us lance/kurogane in his pajamas, and his expression as he adjusts his jacket–

he wears it so well.

I've seen a lot of people arguing that allurance would be a bad idea since Allura is going to outlive Lance. Personally, I think it's going to be a subject worth discussing in the show if that ever happens, and preferably with Shiro, since (spoilers for season 7) he wasn't supposed to live that long in the first place and prefered to spend his remaining time in space rather than with his significant other. What would be your opinion on this ?

if allura could bring him back from death itself, i’m pretty sure she could extend his lifespan. in fact, i suspect that’s already the case. 

even if she couldn’t…lance is her best friend in the universe. if the logic is, “she’ll eventually be sad when he dies because he’s so important to her”, then, well, we’re already past that point and it’s inevitable. 

and who’s to say she’d outlive lance? there are no guarantees in life, only averages. she could die 2 years after the war “ends”, and lance could live another 70 years after that, for all we know. 

on top of all of this, the series isn’t really that realistic wrt space and timelines and such, so i wouldn’t be surprised if they never even brought it up. not saying it isn’t worth discussing, but given the target audience, they might just never broach the subject. 

that being said, i do think that would be a very enlightening discussion with shiro. he could discuss any regrets, what led him to his decision, his relationship with adam, etc. i really do think that will be the reason for lance and shiro holding the LGBT sign up together–a discussion about their respective romantic relationships, and important decisions to make regarding them. 

i originally thought it would focus more on lance deciding between staying on earth vs. going with allura in space, but it could also touch on the subject of how to spend the limited time you have in this universe. what’s worth the pain? what’s worth the risk of losing? what are you willing to give up for love?
