Inspired by Jay Shell's "The Rap Quotes," we're literally connecting the location with the song. "Empire State of Mind," by Jay-Z & Alicia Keys, mentions 560 State Street, where Jay used to stash his dope. Outside the apartment will be a mailbox trigger to play the song when opened. We hope to bring awareness to the history of the location in the rapidly gentrifying area.

This is a Parsons student project for "Collab: Making Waves" during spring 2014.
