Tannis suggested that I look at Amy’s work. Great textural works. Tannis was speaking about leaving an artifact of a performance.

April critiqued my video work. Very concise and helpful. I need to master editing or pay for someone to edit. Also my lighting needs improvement. Stay with the humour or absurdist aspect as that works better.

DVA Research Question – 20.3.2018
What are the experiences of aging women in Australia? Why do they feel invisible? Is it because information on aging women’s issues languishes in government reports which are laden with statistics rather than humanity? Can you see us now? de-problematises aging women’s issues and reframes them as a natural extension of the life path everyone is on, allowing aging women to be seen and valued. The project is a sculptural interrogation of aging women’s bodies and explores the supposed abjectness of aging asking viewers to accept that these women are flesh and bones worthy of being seen and accepted.
